2. So I've made rough cuts and spent quite a bit of time cleaning those up with the dremel (was able to get some great advice from my local squad this weekend) but nothing to really take pictures of so far. However I did spend last night cutting my front cover strips so that I can glue the fronts together to begin fitting. I'll include some pictures below of where I believe is the correct placement of the strips to get opinions before I measure and cut. Thanks
3. Thanks for the advice. Love the shameless plug btw. I'll give your stuff a look. Thanks again
4. I am working on my first build so I do not have any trooping experience. Helmet fans seem to be popular and I live in an area where Summer's will be 100+ degrees so it seems like it would be a good idea for me so I'm looking for recommendations / advice for picking a system.

-noise factor. As quiet as possible would be preferable as I'm mildly hard of hearing to begin with
-batteries vs rechargeable usb power source (or both)
-ease of install and placement
-easy use on/off switch
5. Can someone tell me if cover strips HAVE to be a certain width, both front and back, for Centurion approval? I do not see anything in the CRL but I continually seem to find conflicting information throughout the forums. Thanks,
6. Thanks for the advice. Starting with the legs sounds like a good idea so I'll begin there. I think I have everything from the list except for a few items ordered that haven't arrived yet (like my magnets) but I think I can at least get started with what I have. And I do want to aim for Centurion from the start so hopefully everything will go well. and thanks for the advice on taking it slow. I definitely want to get it built and start trooping but I don't want to mess something up either. I will be sure to post as many pictures as possible and any questions I might have. Thanks again everyone I really appreciate it.
7. Hello All, I am a complete Newbie preparing to start my first build. I just picked up my box from Scootch (CAP-W) on Friday and spent a good deal of the weekend staring at it overwhelmed. I'm over that now (at least that's what I'm telling myself anyway) and ready to start working on it. It will still be a few days before I begin as I am currently spending my evenings cleaning and preparing my work area. I also have to wait for a few more tools and supplies to arrive before I begin but I believe I have almost everything ordered and/or purchased at this point. I figured this would be a good time to ask up front for any advice before I begin. A good place to begin? Common rookie mistakes to avoid? etc., etc. Any information and advice is greatly appreciated. This will be a slow build as I do not have a lot of time during the week to work on this but I will do my best to upload progress pictures as I go. Hopefully I might be able to get some local help to speed up the process but I'm not going to count on it. All that being said it was hard to contain my excitement at this point: And this was after I spent several hours washing the pieces to remove any oils, dirt, etc. as well as a lot of drool from my kids and I I'm sure this was probably pointless at this stage but I wanted to do it anyway and it was nice seeing everything laid out and clean.
8. Hello Everyone. I am new to the forum and looking to purchase my first set of Stormtrooper armor. This is all a little overwhelming so I was looking for a little advice. I see there are several vendors listed and I am wondering if there is a specific vendor that is recommended above others? Maybe their shipped product is easier to work with or is more complete upon delivery. Also, I have heard from several people that ANOVOS is a good purchase at a reasonable price but I haven't found much that would verify that and was wondering if anyone has an opinion. I also have a concern that I am hoping you can provide some advice on. I am 5'10" and 235lbs and I am wondering if my size would indicate the type of armor I should by. I am also currently working on reducing that weight and I am wondering if I should wait to purchase armor as the reduction in weight might significantly change the way the armor fits. Hoping someone has gone through/witnessed this and has advice. I am also in the Bakersfield, CA area if there is anyone local to talk to or that might make the armor. Thanks guys for any advice.
