  1. Any plans to paint the parts?
  2. SO cool! CONGRATS to that trooper
  3. Might as well go with glossy because when people say stormtrooper they picture shiny armor. Regardless of whether the movie was matte, everyone sees shiny
  4. SGB's shore bucket seems to look good, any plans on investing in that or going with your own design?
  5. They don't just hand you a kit if you give them the money up front at NYCC, but they might be there in attendance with a booth
  6. Always tread with caution, buyer beware
  7. Primer. Primer primer, and more primer. Can't stress enough how important putting primer on first is, especially with plastic. Half the reason some people have problems with their paint is either because they don't put primer on, or they put on the wrong primer/paint, OR because they did not prepare the surface correctly.
  8. Mine are more of a semi gloss actually, you may want to look at some reference photos though if you're going to straight accuracy
  9. This may be better suited for the Spec Ops forum
  10. Rankings don't really give you any special ability, nor do 'likes' on posts, its just a fun addon
  11. Chances are that you will have to modify it quite a bit, but many people have been approved with heftier builds before
  12. Seems like ANH but more like a sandy bucket because of the raised brow
  13. Happens to me as well, i haven't done anything about it though, however you could add some small foam inserts under your shirt, or on the straps
  14. I do like the helmet in that the smaller details aren't just stickers, but are actual pieces, brings more reality to the spectrum
  15. You'll need to do some budget research and sizing, as well as choosing what episode you want your armor to be from because it can vary from maker to maker
  16. Whats the chip for?
  17. SGB is also working on this helmet, as well as other helmets in R1
  18. I was approved with the ANOVOS and my Shadow TK is on the way, interested to see if it'll get approved for spec ops
  19. Those seem like it'll work, but i dont know if stapling the materials and paper to your hands is a good start..
  20. Another thing is that they seem to have changed the back of the bucket lip, and it looks more symmetrical now as opposed to being slightly oblonged on one side
  21. Goodluck! Measure twice, cut once
  22. Seems like all you would need for a cheaper version is foam
  23. I live as far north as they come, and my neckseal is made of polyester and cotton, works great even when its hot
  24. Sorry for thread jacking, here are some pics of little things i noticed
