  1. Those are great! What an honor to troop with so many of the original cast. Billy Dee Williams & Harrison Ford are the only two original cast member autographs Im missing. How was Mr Ford's attitude? I've heard he really doesn't want anything to do with Star Wars.
  2. As of today the armor sells for $428.60 NOT including shipping. If your in the US, you can find a set of armor much cheaper
  3. First I filled any unwanted holes, nicks or scraches with the premixed Bondo in a tube. Sanded litely & washed with a wet paper towel several times. I used a 2part 5 minute epoxy to attach all resin parts to the gun. I primmerd with Walmart brand spray paint about 4 coats. Then spray painted about 7 coats of silver & finished off with 5 coats of flat black. Make sure all your paint coatings are lite & dry before applying the next coat. Heavy coats will glob, run, & not dry right. I've used Walmart brand of paint on my blasters & other projects. .98 a can & never had a problem with it
  4. That Hottie says HI & thanks for the compliment It was real fun & we raised some money for petmatchmaker.org Its a non profit organization of a friend of ours. She rescues dogs on the day their to be put down at the SPCA. Or she'll rescue a stray dog on the streets. She keeps them til they can be adopted by loving families.
  5. Here's some pics fom my troop today. We had a great time. We were there to promote Tommy T's Toys & Treasures. A specialty toy, sci fi store. Since I was not done with TK, I wore my Tie Pilot. Slave Leia is my wife Tina. I worked on her costume for 2 days. I can honestly say that was the hardest costume I've ever worked on.
  6. We have a troop tomorrow. Will have some pics of the finished project
  7. If it is the foam/crack sealer you can try this. I had the same stuff on some of my projects. But never left on for more than a few days. Trim off as much as possible with a new exacto knife. Then sand lightly with the 2000 grit sand paper(you can find this at auto parts store) Once it's gone, you can use Novus Plastic Polish to bring back te shine. Novus is a 3 step process.
  8. Im not sure what ATA Armor is made out of. But I have a FX. I marked with a pencil & used a dremil. The dremil I used I bought at Harbor Freight for $7. So you don't need to go out & buy the most expensive one at the store. I used a corse sanding drum & it took off my excess very quickly. I did both theigh tops in under 5min, & I was being extra carful. Make sure ou wear goggles if you use a dremil. It WILL kick up lots of plastic right into your face.
  9. My Wife & I will be at Celebration 5. Im sure we'll meet during or at one of the after patrties
  10. Thanks ThayNerd, I used the E6000 to attach the bra cups. Man this slave bikini is the most difficult cosume I've ever worked on, & I'm pretty good at making costumes & props Wasn't too sure how to make the curvature of the cup. I finally figured out that I would have to sew in some "wedges" This worked out perfect. I used an unlikly tool today in helping me shape the bra material to the frame. Would you belive I used my softball to fill the bra cup I sewed some knots around the fabric & the frame to hold the material in. I trimed the excess material off & removed the knots, then glued the piece in. Came out perfect.
  11. WD-40 is NOT a solvent. It a lubricant which means it is a grease. It says right on the can" effectively cleans most surfaces of: adhesives" & " will not harm plastics" Im telling you, I used this on the FRONT of my TK theigh armor. Will not harm it at all. I sprayed it onto a napkin & wiped away the residue with slight rubbing. Then washed with dish soap & dried with a towel. The tape I had on my armor was about 2 1/2 years old. The residue was hard & yellow. It came right off & my theigh looks good as new.
  12. Hey Everyone, Got a way off question here. Does anyone have a Girlfriend or Wife who wears a Slave Bikini? I've had my wife's sitting in a box for 3yrs. So it takes me awhile to get to my projects I'm ready to attach the bra cups to the resin frame. Has anyone made one of these in the past? Will E6000 work? We have a troop this weekend & I would like to finish it before then. Everyone wondering why I've had all my costumes sitting in boxes for 3yrs In 2007 for Clebration 4. We saw all these wonderful costumes. We had decent costumes, but the ones that the Reblel Legion & 501st had were AWSOME! As soon as we got home my wife & I decided to upgrade our costumes. We have lots of pets & its hard to find sitters(& expensive). So we havn't had much time to troop. But now is the time to get everything in order & troop as much as we can
  13. I found out about the mayonaise along time ago. When I tell people that it will remove residue, they look at me crazy. That's why I didn't mention it. But now it's out in the open. Everyone to the fridge!
  14. For the tape & tape residue use WD-40. It will remove all the sticky residue. I used this on the front of my armor to remove the old masking tape. Didn't hurt one bit, even left it shinny. If the tape is super stuck on the plastic, you can use engine starting fluid. It's sold at any auto parts store or Walmart. About $2 a can. Spray directly on the tape & it will come right off.
  15. Super Nice Job! We gotta save money anywhere we can. Home built projects are the best. Especially for new troopers just starting out. Thanks for the tutorial

We were supposed to go to Germany last month
  17. If you wanna go with a rubber tube. You might try sevral vacume clearer belts. I was gonna go this route before I found the corrugated tubeing. I found some at the .99 store. They came two to a bag. They fit very snug, but wasn't too crazy about the weight. With a gun thats almost 5' long. You kinda want it to be lite as possible when carrying it during long troops.
  18. My Dad found the corrugated tubing on the side of the road. It was beat up & scuffed real bad. At first I was like this is too bad to use. But Dad said isn't it supposed to look beat up? I said yeah So we tried it out. After we had it in place, I used Bondo to fill some of the larger holes & the front seam where the corrugated tubing met the barrel. When it came time to painting, it was perfect! It made for some interesting dings, truly battle worn
  19. I used the 4" corrugated tubing too. I cut out about an inch from the underside. I used a car piston ring compressor to squeeze the tubing closed around my barrel.I drilled holes & screwed on the underside. You can not see the screws & it's never comming off!
  20. That looked like a fan made trailer. Very cheezy.
  21. I bought the Starter Brand shirts & leggins & underewear at Walmart too. I love mine! I wear the shirt & underwear everyday at work & will never go back to a cotton shirt undernearth. In So California wearing "real" body armor gets hot! The "underarmor type" shirts keep me cool & dries very quickly compared to a plain T shirt. When ever Im at Walmart, I always try to pick up one or two shirts & underwear. They are switching over to the newer style, Im not sure how much longer I'll be able to find them. In response to Bluehicky, one time one of my shirts that was marked XXL was super tight. Perhaps you got one of these mismarked shirts. That only happened to me once, & I have been buying them for the last 5years
