Ohh, those are neat troopers. I read all the Republic Commnado novles. In the last one they changed thier names to Imperial Commandos, but kept the same look. This one looks to be a hybred of a sandtrooper & one of the Ver3 clone commando helmets. I've seen this helmet before, just can't remeber what comander it went too

How's the build comming along? Got any pics? I got my FX kit right after C4. Just now getting to it. So far I've glued the theighs, calves,& biceps. I just need to glue the forearms tomorrow. So far I've used about 6 of the spring clamps in the the pic above,3 diffrent sizes tho. & some some 1" metal spring clamps. They work great for the ends. They are super strong & hold the tips tightly. I bought some deep clamps at Harbor Freight($5.99) to get to the middle of the larger pieces.( Theighs & Calves) I've been able to use one tube of E6000 glue I got at Walmart. I have pics of my build over in the Armor Build Threads...Check it out

Isn't the Imperial Commando the same as the Republic Commando? I thought they just changed names when the Empire was formed Did you try clonetroopers.net?

Fuems, what fuems? Im lucky in that department. My nose does not work at all. I can't smell a thing. So if there are fuems, my wife hasn't said a thing about them. Im doing my glueing in the bedroom because we've had storm roll in the last couple days.

Symmetrical (idealized) helmet?
Chunk replied to dashrazor's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
If you can find one. I see they are becoming more & more scarce. Even the eFX helmet is hard to find. -
I have an FX kit. I am just now getting to it after a very long time. I see that the ab plate buttons need to be replaced. Can you tell me where I can get new buttons or how to go about making my own....THX

Where to find Stormtrooper armor for chicks?
Chunk replied to Jehudah Design's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Richies is cool with me too. I bouhgt my Tie Pilot from him last year. He always responded to my emails same day or the next. I just ordered some tie body armor for my wife from him. I told him I needed it by a certain date. He came through without a problem. The body armor was flawless. -
Man that sux. Knowing what you want & being able to see the "raw" product sitting in front of your face everyday. But not knowing how to get it from pieces of plastic into a set of armor.

That one looks real nice. But could you answer one thing for me? I've seen a couple post with the mention of an approved TSA LOCK. Where do I get one of these? Do they suppy it at the airport when Im checking in my luggage? This sounds most interesting & seems like the best option so far.

I have an original FX kit. I'm not that keen on SUPER ACCURACY. I don't care for the thumb print. It was a mistake that the director didn't feel was necassary to fix for a few seconds of film time. Same as with the "move along" trooper. The heat was a factor in the brow moving up the helmet. But that is my two cents.

Ok, both calves are done. I just finished glueing the biceps together. I ran out of clamps again. Sheeesh I guess you can never have too many clamps. I normally use about 6 clmaps on each piece. Tomorrow I'll knock out both forearms. But all is comming together

I can hardly wait for this book to come out. I was so mad when I found out they pushed the release date back to the end of the year -
Ok, just got back from Harbor Freight the clamps are $6.99ea. I bought two more & a few other various spring clamps. I glued the other calve, & will knock out both forearms when I get back from dinner. Assembling is addicting

If anyone needs these deep clamps & doesn,t have Harbor Freight in their town. I can pick them up & mail them to you. They are heavy, but I can fit maybe four into a "one price" post office box. Last time I checked that was $9.95 any where in the United States. If you need more I'll have too step up to the larger box, which I think is $14.95. I can probably get up to 8pr in that box. I wont be able to get any til the 1st of May. I work for the state of california & get paid once a month

Hi Eric, Nope the Tie Is my favorite right now. Its so comfy, I can wear it for long periods at a time. I bought the clamps at HARBOR FREIGHT. I belive I got them on sale for $6 or $7 each. Regular price was $9. I knew someone had to make deep clamps. I searched the internet for years, I made trips to Lowes, Home depot, Walmart, small hardware stores & even Harbor Freight & nothing. Then one day I was looking for something else at HF & boom there they were I bought them right there & then. Wasn't gonna take a chance of them not being there the next time. But now Im thinking I should have got another pair. Ohh well live & learn, maybe I'll make a trip down today & pick up a 2nd pair.

I just glued the front seams. The backs are open, I need to shim the rears. The long clamps are what held me up all this time. I always wanted to glue them. I knew someone had to make "deep" clamps. I got them at Harbor Freight $6 ea. I modified them a bit. I taped a 1" Lego brick on the "hand" part of the clamp. It fits just right into the under seam of the armor. NEXT QUESTION... The E6000 says it takes 24-72hr to cure. Due I have to leave the clamps on for minimum of 24 hrs? Or can I remove them & just let the armor sit with out touching it for the next few days. I'd rreally like to get to another armmor part

Here are some pics of me statring my build. Disreguard my mess. I woke up took a shower, kissed the wife & told her I'd see her some time later. I didn't want to be disturbed. She's just glad I actually started on my armor.
