I did notice one thing, the size. The "industrial" was in a larger tube. Maybe this is the only diffrence

HI Everyone, Yeserday I was on my quest to find the Plasti Weld glue for my snap "tabs". I came across two diffrent versions of E6000. I found the regular version at Walmart. It was a grey tube with small words saying Amazing on top then the large E6000 going down. But yesterday I was at Michaels Craft Store & they had the regualr & another. In place of the Amazing it said "Industrial" on top & the E6000 going down. Both tubes were grey in color had big black letters of the E6000 going down the tube & clear gel. The only diffrence was the "amazing" & "industrial" Now I am finished with my glueing & I used the regular version. Found the other too late in my build. But I wanted tall the newbies searching for E6000 to be aware that there is two versions. If I had seen the industrial first I would have bought this. My armor parts are solid, but have not been put too the stress test of a troop yet. Will let you know how the regualr version holds up

I was gonna use the Plasti Weld method of glueing my snap "tabs". But had a hard time finding it. Lots of people said I could use the E6000 for this as well. So I will use the E6000 to glue my snap tabs onto my armor.

THANK YOU ALL! I'll use the E6000 for the tabs. Will post & add pics as I progress

I read on here to apply Plasti Weld around the homemade tabs for the snaps. I can use the E6000 & it will hold? I have this left over

There are a few Ace Hardwares here in town. I will check a few tomorrow. I read some of the old posts & it said hobby stores should carry it. I found one in phone book. But my phone book is over 5yrs old. Not sure if the store is still round.

My VaderDave ab button kit came yesterday. Im also ready to apply the "tiles" or "tabs" for the snaps. I went looking for the plasti weld. Couldn't find it any where. Took awhile, but finally found it online. Will one bottle be enough, or should I get two?

Ok where can I find Plasti-Weld? I went to Michaels Crafts,& Walmart today & called Beverly's Fabrics.(they have a large craft section) No one knew what I was talking about. I described it to them from the pictures I've seen on here. I've checked online, but nothing. Im ready to attach my snaps, but am held up by this lil problem

Ok, If I'm reading this right. I should cut out my "tabs" place my snap in it. Clamp the tab to the armor & apply a thin layer of plasti weld around the tab. Is that right? Im at this stage, & wanna buy the plasti weld this weekend
-
I found the clamps I was looking for. I knew someone had to make them. I had checked Harbor Freight about a year & half ago. Nothing, & then the other day. there they were. 8" deep "C" clamps. This is what I used on all my legs & arm parts. I was trying to post pics, but photo bucket is down today. Will post later.

Nice Female Mando, I wanted to make her a Mando too. But since I havn't got around to making me a Mado. We went with the tie pilot. Thought it would be cool to have a wingman all the time. Her Tie Pilot will mirror mine.

I was at Lowes & did not see any 2.5" pipe. I took the end caps to match up. All I found was some 2.5 adapters that fit perfect. But they were only 2 3/4" long. I bought 3 of them. I'll have to cut one down to make the correct size & glue them together. I really would like the solid piece. Maybe I'll check Home Depot tomorrw

MAN! You scored big time. My son was in the Army, & I thought about using this same pad system in my stormie. I told him buy me a set of pads. He wasn't able to get me a set, so I started looking in my US Cavalry catalog. They have the pad system starting at $44.99. Maybe I'll get me some, because that sure looks sweet in yours

Ok 2nd theigh all glued & ready. But here is my next question. Im at the thermal det/o2 canister. I really don't like the 2 halves that came with my FX kit. Since day one I''ve always thought of replacing this one item. The two havles do not match up completely. I can get the edges even, but when I put the end caps on. I get a gap the length of the whole canister on top & bottom. I would really like to replace this with maybe a 2" pvc pipe. Im thinking this would be one piece, & I could make it to where I can remove one of the end caps to make a stormie wallet? What ya think? Im open to suggestions, as I can not get to this part of the build for a few days.

It took some begging to get her to go to Celb 4 with me. But after she was there she loved it. She was one of the few slave leia's who wore the bikini all day. You can see how many Slave Leia's were there in the Star Wars Insider group photo. She even asked if she could go the next day...& she did. This is one of my favorite pics of her. With her favorite Star Wars charecter As for gettting her into some white armor. That might have to wait a few. She in the process of getting her Tie Pilot done. Her costume is complete, just waiting on the chestbox to come in the mail & then we can submit her pics for approval. This is a early pic with the basic jumpsuit with the pockets removed her helmet & boots.

Cool on gettting junior into some mini clone armor. I love when my family troops with me. I wasn't an official member with the 501st at the time. But the wife & I were under cover as a rebels at Celb 4. But at Celb 5 we'll both be flying Imperial colors I've never thought about getting myson into a set of white armor Both my boys are in thier 20s, it never accoured to me. I could have my own lil garrison in my house. I'll have to convince him to get some stormie armor to troop with dad Here's a pic from Celb 4 of the family as we piled out the Tahoe when we got there. The leia is my wife Tina, she has since upgraded to movie accurate bikini, Jawa my daughter Erika & lil clone my stepson Tim The jedi is my oldest son Eric & Chewbacca on vacation was my son Mark.

Looks pretty good. I did notice the baggy undersuit on the elbows too. The gloves were a lil large too, kinda "Mickey Mouse" esque. You should be very proud to have such a beautiful wife trooping with you. I love when my wife troops with me -
Hallo, schoen das ich euch gefunden habe. Es super cool, das ihr den nicht englisch sprechenden Troopern aushelft. Aber um ehrlich zu sein, ich spreche gar kein deutsch
