  1. I am the exact size. You will definetly need to shim the sides with AP.
  2. Vern on the board (TK bondservnt) assembles armor and the blaster, but you would have to ship it!
  3. I did also, I found it was easier to see what I was doing by starting underneath. Just had to make sure I had pre-cut all of the coverstrips and did not run out, using the bad pieces for the underneath.
  4. You will see some great examples on any of the EIB submission or Cent posts. I used snap plates I got from a member here, but some just use a small piece of ABS with the snap punched through, both types directly glued with E6000 to the armor. I used mostly elastic, but I have nylon connecting my kidney to the ab piece to stop it from shifting up and down.
  5. The logo will be noticed by some and probably mentioned; you can just scuff that part up though and it can be hidden nicely!
  6. Great find- look fantastic! You never know though, that logo on the outside back rt corner could spell trouble!
  7. I did both (same shoes as you), the elastic 'stirrups' attached to the shin bottoms and put velcro on the tops of the shoes and bottoms of the shins. Helped to stop it about 80% of the time, but I still get the occasional popping out. I was going to heat bend out the bottoms, but I saw someone mentioned this could give you the 'disco' look of bell bottoms! I am ordering some TK boots to really fix the problem.
  8. Ouch; at least like everyone said above, all very easily fixable and will look like it never happened. You could salvage your brackets if you want to still go that route, just move them all over an inch or so and drill new holes. I went with the snap plates and E6000; I made a few adjustments after though and it was great to be able to move them and re-glue, plus I was always too paranoid to put extra holes in the armor. I learned after a few early mistakes on the helmet that using the E6000 is great at forcing you to slow down, which sure reduces future mistakes!
  9. Great work! The homemade bandies are looking fantastic.
  10. They beat me to the TD screws; looks awesome! Saw you had some frustration it looks like with the glue on the gloves- I had to ditch a pair it was so bad!! Beautiful build- good luck!
  11. Looking great- I would be expecting a welcome email very soon!
  12. Go E6000 for sure- dont be in a hurry! I tried to do the inner and outer at the same time, was way too difficult to ensure everything was in the right place and not sliding around. I went with the inside's first on everything one day, outside covers the next.
  13. Wow looks pretty good to me! I'm surprised after the 40 lbs the side gap is there in the kidney and back. Can you pull the sides in tighter by shortening the elastic?
  14. Imgur for me; download your pic to it then copy and paste here the bbcode.
  15. AP kit here myself, had to do the shimming; I have a link below in my sig that can help. Hopefully as said above you have some coverstrip material left. You should just have enough to do the build with the two shim pieces and internal backing. It might help to not use good material in your inner coverstrips; save those pieces for outers and use some scraps if needed to stretch your material.
