  1. So the key here is to leave roughly 1/2" gap between your arm and the armor. Starting with the sides with a flat section cut to spec leaving roughly 8mm from edge of the plastic to where the return edge crease begins. Afterwards test fit to see if there's more material that needs to be removed from the opposite side/closure of the armor, if any. If so remove it from the inner half of the armor.
  2. Unless you pro paint it. After several troops mine looks like the day it came out of the paint shop
  3. Here's a nice reference photo Jeff, trim accordingly
  4. Word of warning, as much as I trust Walt I would encourage buyers to refrain from preordering until known kits are in stock, unless you can preorder without payment. This goes for any seller.
  5. Yea Jeff's a great guy, hope to be have a meal with him at GE next month.
  6. Keep em coming
  7. Good luck with your approval Dave
  8. No because none the Akers have a audio OUT port.
  9. Hey Dave looking good. Just a heads up, the area on your posterior you're using to connect to the Cod is incorrect, it should end where I've illustrated. This is by no means a deal breaker and it's is a very common mistake made with this armor. Keep up the good work
  10. Correct
  11. Looking great so far Lucy
  12. Hey Jim, besides the soles and side elastic being a little thick they should be fine. Here's some screen used boots to compare to.
  13. No problem. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
  14. No worries. Your only concern will be storage. Shoulders to cod is about 3'. This is not a big deal considering screen accurate assembly is pretty much the same setup but with brackets and straps.
  15. Dang it I may have to watch the trailer now.
  16. As Glen mentioned the tips need a little work to be approved by most GMLs today. You can replace the screen mesh and paint the insides and top rim white, or you can buy a set of my audio tips. Approved even at the higher levels. You would want option #2 on my sales page. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31436-fs-ukswraths-hovi-mic-tips-with-speakers-crl-accurate-tips
  17. Me, I won't watch the trailers for a variety of reasons. Just a personal thing. Biceps are looking good, nice work Suspenders are common so great idea there. When you say glue pieces of armor together are you referring to the different plates, like joining the kidney and butt plate for example? If so I say no you definitely don't want to do that, first being you won't be able to get your armor 501st approved secondly you'll kill your mobility. Snaps and nylon webbing or elastic are very common. Hope this helps
  18. I was thinking the exact same Once I get my hands on one I'll definitely be looking into it.
  19. If we thought this area was a high stress point before it's going to be worse now with a full inner chest plate attached. The shoulder assembly will need to be looked at very carefully to prevent cracking. Good thing it's here on the FISD. With a collection of some of the best builders in the legion, I'm sure we can figure it out.
