As wook1138 stated wear and tear is normal. If it bothers you paint them, I do, I use gloss white shoe paint/polish.

Well if you're looking to go screen accurate than as Rowan mentioned bracket and straps is your go to choice. I'm not aware of anyone of than Mr Nostripes that makes them. All other areas connected with poppers (specific snaps) set and sew in. Those you can get from Ebay UK, maybe some other areas by now. My Anovos OTTK build thread has a list of where to buy if you want to go that route.

Alright so don't shoot me but technically the upper and lower ear screws are aligned with the trailing edge of the trap. This is not a requirement yet butt, the CRL is changing not to mention it's highly pushed at the higher levels of accuracy. If you can it is recommended you align your ears like this.
