  1. Looking awesome Russel
  2. Well I'm glad the right to refuse service still exists somewhere in the world
  3. Hey Vern, when it comes to freedom of speech or freedom in general I am so with you. I spend a good deal of time outside of this website, on my soap box defending what little freedoms we have left. We live in a country where the loss of liberties is a direct result of political correctness. I grew up in a time where if you and your buddy had a problem you went out back and dealt with it, came back had a beer and laughed. Today with the demise of parenting, family, honor, respect and good old fashion communication, we now live in a world driven by the "everyone deserves an award" and "Let's not offend little Johnny" mentality. Getting off my soap box, though I know nothing about what you said and what was deleted. I'm assuming you had legitimate concerns you wanted addressed that were either swept under the carpet or removed to protect the honor and integrity of the armor we wear and why we wear it. Either way, I've found if I want others to listen and take heed to what I have to say, I do so in respect to others. I'm not say to cower to PC, I'm saying let the passion you have flow with integrity and respect. I would encourage you to resubmit your concern.
  4. To chime in, the eye bump is normal also.
  5. Every time I see this picture I always laugh. Trooper, front left, sniper knee/shin placement. Yea, THAT GUY!
  6. If I may chime in, I have decent size calves that tend to pull up on my shins. When velcro wasn't enough I glued some dense foam inside the shin armor just below my calf. The foam works two fold, it acts as a wedge preventing my shins from creeping up and also help prevent my hook and loop connection in that area from digging into my skin.
  7. Yes you can start over with a fresh coat of grey. You may, or may not have to make several passes because of bleed through but it's not a huge deal. Everything is fixable.
  8. I have two complete belt sets one for the TK the other HWT. Terrell at ATA will sell you just the ammo belt with the rivet covers if you're interested. Velcro removable drop boxes, cleaver. Look forward to seeing your post. It's getting lonely up here, need some company
  9. Awesome build Steven May I suggestion maybe shortening your shoulder (elastic) straps a bit. This would serve 2 purposes, 1st it will help decrease the gap between your back and OII plate (though it's not too bad) but most importantly, maybe help pull up the shoulder bells decreasing the gap between you chest and OII plates which seems a bit excessive. Other than that, fabulous job
  10. Next step TK HWT EIB
  11. Hey Mark sorry for the delay, good news, according to the CRL you can use your DLT-19 as your approval weapon of choice, just follow the CRL guidelines as for weapon requirements.
  12. Words cannot describe, my sympathies. Glad to here 501st has been a light for you, it's all about giving back. As for CRL wordage, they're consistently changing and under review, I understand your concern. Yes Dave "M", going on the assumption one of the listed armor is one you have.
  13. Sorry to hear that my friend. Been tough on a lot of people. It's going to get better, have hope
  14. For sure the ones from Mike on Trooperbay
  15. Checking... What you don't want to dump another $250-400 US on a awesome SW collectible What happened to the spirit?
  16. I know the DLT-19 is another option in the CRL, if that's the gun you're referring to. As for the E-11 being mandatory. I don't believe so but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot here either, Steve? edit: In the CRL they're both listed as "Optional Accessories" so....?
  17. Hey Mark, you and I think way too much alike . I always like a good challenge and don't mind being told to step up my game but as Steve mentioned we're here only to encourage and bring to light what can be perfected. You're off to a fabulous start and in no time you'll be singing the Centurion alma mater, well maybe not because there isn't one but you'll be just as excited and ready to share your experiences with others, this is where wisdom and patience comes in. Keep up the great work
  18. Sorry for the delay. This is what I was referring to. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25695-environmental-audio-system-hear-outside-your-helmet/
  19. The most common hearing kits are either DIY, or there's a guy that sells the same DIY kit built and ready to go. Head over to the 'helmet electronics" posts
  20. RS is at the top, and if you live in the US it will cost you an arm and leg. But if $ is no object then buy RS or TM. If $ does matter then buy ATA, AP or something similar here in North America.
  21. Hey Thomas if your not interested in joining the 501st or the FISD as a authentic trooper the all that matters is how deep is your wallet. There are a few builders of complete armor, but you get what you pay for. On the FISD there are sanctioned builders that would be happy to put something together for you, just head over to the "Armory" forum. Good luck sir
