  1. Hey Tino, Andrew or myself will be with you shortly. Before we get started do you have a cover for the chamber. Though it is beautifully made the blaster is a laser gun not a machine gun . Edit: Or can you remove the bullets and holder and slide the ejection assembly forward? If so take a photo and post it.
  2. Awesome read, glad to have you in the FISD family. Congrats again
  3. Back to the regular scheduled build thread. Keep up the good work Frank.
  4. Hey Andres thanks for the updated photos, MUUUUUCH better lol . Let me get back to you on the holster.
  5. Our pleasure. Excellent work on your build. You made our job very easy.
  6. Hey David welcome. Before we get started please post the following information at the top of the page. Afterwards please post photos of the forearms (wrist side) and all 4 helmet sides please. Armor Make: Blaster Type: EIB Link:
  7. Hey Patrick welcome back brother and thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present. As mentioned in your EIB app, beautiful job on your build. Also, your photos are perfect, every detail was presented, you've seriously done your homework. It's obvious you really wanted that Centurion badge. Vader would be pleased. Andrew and I are pleased to say your armor displays all the elements as set out in the Centurion CRL. Congratulations and welcome to Centurion Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: We had nothing to add here. Time to head out and make the Empire and your garrison proud.
  8. Alright Glen now that the CRL is finished and we've been given the green light we'll be with you shortly.
  9. Also, the holster needs to show it's functional. Please post a photo with a blaster attached. Thank you
  10. I know it's been a busy week but I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Paul.
  11. Nice work Matthew
  12. Looking good Ry
  13. If you use quality snaps you shouldn't have an issue with single snaps IMHO
  14. For TFA it's already been proven, so yes on the L3.
  15. I agree
  16. We should definitely take that into consideration. Until we know for certain we may have to play it safe.
  17. TFA If we want to get specific @ basic I say leave it a "black" L3 - Center section "satin or matte decal". End cap black "black gaffers tape"
  18. I was actually looking for the cap rivet specs. In the reference photo we provided the head looks much larger than 4mm. They look more like 6-8mm.
  19. Satin would work
  20. Hey Tom, welcome and thank you for your EI application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Excellent job on your TM build . After review Andrew and I are delighted to say your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. We have a couple minor suggestions to mention here. Your bells are nice and tight at the top near the shoulders but quite a distance from the chest and back plates. Looking closely at your photos it appears you have a good amount of return edge you could remove that would allow them to sit flush on the biceps bringing them closer to the chest and back. Reference photo Holster mounts. Snap base mounts are too large, they should be smaller, similar to cap rivets or Chicago screws. If you stall want to make the holster removable there's a couple tutorials out there illustrating how to take Chicago screws and install them so they also double as snaps. Reference photo The TD screws are to be pan head and slotted. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. From what we've seen so far there's nothing that sticks out that would hold you back at centurion if you chose to apply for it. Congrats again.
  21. Nice work on those tube vents
  22. The TFA armor uses gaffers tape which would be equivalent to matted, the long rectangle area next to it was a decal or painted, also a matted look. I'd be surprised if anybody outside of the movie crew actually knows what it is. I think matte is best guess at this point.
  23. Hey Patrick thank you for your EI application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Beautiful job on your TM . Andrew and I are very please to announce your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. We have nothing to add here. Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. From what we can see so far you're looking really good for Centurion should you choose to apply. Congrats again.
