  1. Helmet update! Almost done except for the mesh behind the mouth and the tube stripes. In other news, the body is all buttoned together now (still needs ab buttons). Just working on the belt. Need to put the cover buttons on and glue down the backs of the drop boxes so they sit flush against the thighs. Next post will probably be finished thighs and forearms.
  2. Latest update after a little slow patch. Sizing up the parts again, making sure they look ok. Not sure about the shoulders, when I've put them on they seem a little too big so I'll probably have to resize them. Finally got around to doing the split rivets. I was dreading them but they turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. Left forearm progress Right forearm is one step ahead. Sizing up the thighs. I'm always hesitant to cut a lot off so I slowly cut sliver by sliver until they fit. and just sticking in some buttons.
  3. The completed biceps. There is some excess glue I will sand off eventually. Got some painting done on the helmet. Still struggling to paint a straight black line though for the other decals... Have joined the shoulder straps with the help of my assistant. Kidney section will be done in approx 24 hours...
  4. After what seemed like a very long time I managed to get the ears on. This ear has a bit of a gap but I got it as good as I could. I've trimmed and sanded the arms (biceps and forearms). It took quite a while since I was shaving half an inch from each side until they fit. If/when I do this again I'll be much more confident hacking large chunks off. Now comes the shims.
  5. Thought I'd start with something easy - the teeth. After a miss-drilling, I managed to hustle this helmet into shape. Once the ears go on they'll cover my mistake...
  6. BBB! My new AM armour just arrived. I've been slowly collecting all the tools and extra parts I need over the past few months. It's a little daunting now that it's here but I wanted a challenge so here goes nothing! I'll keep posting updates etc. and please feel free to give any feedback as I go (I'm probably going to need it!). Here's the BBB, now with added dog! After cracking it open with a cold one. A helmet shot My attempt at a flat lay #instagram
