  1. Excellent. for those that don’t speak German, that is Slate grey.
  2. I’ve had a brief read and it is looking good. thought this one would be pretty straight forward and you made a good decision to also look as the Phasma explanations on finish. I think the colour grey needs to be defined as in tone . Light, Dark etc. Have you sourced a paint for it or can you find out what time the paint shop will use if that’s the way you are going.
  3. I know a guy with a set of files that I believe is as accurate as you could get, but we are yet to convince him to offer them up for sale. He is legion approved in his printed costume, but this is all the information I can give you at this stage. If this changes in the future I will be sure to promote the fact they are available for purchase.
  4. The bubbles are an issue where a vacuum pot hasn't been used to draw them out of the resin before pouring into the mold. Also because the mold may be too large to also add to the vacuum pot after its filled. As to it not fitting, it looks like the molds may be slightly distorted so the part just doesn't align correctly at both sides. Also the original buck was probably 3D printed and may have warped during that process hence why the alignment is out as would be the mold made from it. Have you spoken to Walt about it yet?
  5. Yep. This is the part where we work with the member who is creating the new to legion costume, to make sure the explanations of the various components and colours etc are appropriately descriptive for the base level CRL. In addition to that, we look at what things should be Expert infantry lvl and if there is anything that fits for a centurion level as well. This is the link to the standard FOTK CRL, this is our frame work to build upon. https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_-_First_Order As you will see, things like the holster have allowances at basic as in it must be present compared to the higher level where it must be functional to pass EI. Much of the language we need is already here, it is the differing parts, like the shins and the coloured parts that require the focus. As you and others chime in with suggestions the CRL will start to form, then i take it to the LMO team for scrutiny, and suggestions before I build the final version and submit for it to go live.
  6. Looks pretty good to me. The ridges are aligned most importantly. many sniper plates sit a little crooked, mine included as it is impossible to get it to sit 100% level with the left and right ridges aligned correctly.
  7. It's going to look very cool when finished. You should post an operating video once complete and really show it off.
  8. If you look through these pages of awesome posts, you will notice I have now given a post number to each one containing images. These will all come under review by a team of detachment staff so we can sort through, catagorise, and pick out a good variety for the upcoming special project. As a reminder to all who have posted photos, once the selection process is complete over the next couple of weeks, if your image or images are chosen, you will receive a PM from myself or one of the team. There will be more details in that message, and a further update in this thread and the DL's Blog will be posted when those PM's will start to go out. Stay tuned everyone
  9. Yes, sadly plenty of screen shots show the similar gap. I would say aim to have it sit straight in there as opposed to the crooked angle in those images. They have probably been knocked around a bit hence why it looks like that. Ultimately it's up to you and weather you want a gap or not as even when we are done re working the CRL's something like that wouldn't make it in as a change for basic, maybe a cleaner version for centurion, but we are not at that point of discussion as yet.
  10. And as you can see in those images, the inner tube is considerably smaller than the carriage it sits in.
  11. It's coming along very nicely Jacob, keep up the stellar work.
  12. Welcome to FISD Mike!
  13. Congratulations on yet another fine Centurion lvl costume Glen
  14. Good tip by James above, and pretty much the same process i take when adding cover strips.
  15. I can assist you with this Robert, I'll send you a PM shortly to sort it.
  16. We will need to get cracking on the CRL, but at least the frame work of the Standard FOTK can be used and modified as well as expanded on.
  17. Congratulations Luke!
  18. Starting to come together nicely Richard.
  19. Congratulations Glen! 8 EIB now, when will this madness end But in all seriousness, great accomplishment indeed.
  20. Always something happening on one of the busiest forums in the legion! Welcome to FISD Mike, great photo too.
  21. Is this not your bolt? I just noticed you used the one with the flange perhaps I confused you and if so, my apologies as you had this then another image posted. This as far as we are aware is the correct type to use.

  23. Last minute submission was PM'ed to me just after I locked the thread. I will be posting those images here my time tomorrow. Please note this is now closed so we can start the next steps
  24. Thank you to everyone who has posted photos for this project. I must say, we are blown away by many of the images submitted, there are some stunning photos and fantastic memories across these 5 pages. We will be moving into the second phase of the project over the next couple of weeks. That will be sorting through over 300 photos, and working out how best we can use what we have. As mentioned in the first post , if your photo/s is/are chosen, you will be contacted via PM by myself or one of the staff to confirm use and grab any other details we may need. Ultimately it would be great to use them all I just cant guarantee we can at this stage. As we get closer to realising the end result, the project shall revealed to all, so keep a lookout for updates. Thanks again everyone
