  1. Hi Brian, thank you for your EI application and your patience, lets get into it!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos are present except for your action shot, so please add it in. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry , congratulations Trooper and welcome to the rank. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observation made by us and your fellow troopers, if any of these observation would affect a future application, they will be made in the above and or below sections. Nice work on this Anovos kit, you look great, but the list of things we have to go through below, will have you looking even better. We shall start with your shoulder bells. There is still some room to bring these in so they are almost touching the plastic bridges. Thanks for this excellent side view image, it shows clearly that these straps are too long. Reference image So if we swing around to the back, you have quite a gap opening up between the back and kidney plate. With further nspection we found that the two inturnal straps are way too long and need a good shortening up to bring those plates together. Again, thank you for this great internal strapping photo. Reference image Now we shall get down to some finer details. The grey abb buttons on both the ab plates are considerably smaller than the blue. These should be a similar size so we are suggesting to make the grey buttons larger than they currently are. They are painted very neatly, but need to be bigger. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: In this section Uk or myself may suggest recommended or required repairs prior applying for the Centurion level however, the accuracy it is ultimately up to the trooper. We all know the Anovos helmets can look so much better with a little TLC, so here I will discuss those little things that make a big difference to the look and accuracy of this helmet. The ear screws used on original buckets were of the V or tapered head variety, where these guys are a domed head Reference image I would also like to mention the frown. Yours finishes abruptly and with a square end, where it should gradualy taper out to a point like these below screen used images. Take your pick and lastly on the helmet is the screen mesh. As you can see the Anovos helmet has a fine mesh where the originals had a more open style mesh. I believe many are buying a cheap strainer from a kitchen or hardware store and cutting out sections to use as a closer replacement. Reference image Onto your blaster, and something that we do see from time to time specially from pre assembled E11's, and rarely from build kits. We have two parts incorrectly mounted. 1. The charging lever. It should curve towards the front of the blaster, and not away to the rear. Secondly we look at the rear sight. There are a series of ridges, like the teeth on a cog, that are visible on the back of the sight. In the picture below, we must assume that they are on the front as they are not visible. as seen in the set on images below. Justjoseph73 has a geed fix for this without the need to remove it. Check out his EIB application he has photos, or drop him a PM I know he will be more than happy to assist you. Thanks again for a great build and detailed application. Your armour fits you very well, and with those strap adjustments and minor mods, you will look superb. Congratulations and hope to see you in Centurion soon
  2. Yes buyer beware. Cheap prices on eBay seem like a good deal until you get it home and find that there may well be an incredible amount of work required to get it to an approvable level, and that is on top of having to build it right aswell. It is very rare that you will see anyone here refer you to eBay to buy something unless it's cheap tools etc to actually construct your kit. The vetted sellers list is a good start to get an idea of pricing, that's not to say you have to buy armour from one of them as there are a few more not on that list that make good quality armour. Good luck on your journey. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Hi all Anyone who has recently or is looking to lodge an application for Expert infantry please read. . Could you please refrain from lodging a Centurion application, before you have been approved for Expert Infantry. I appreciate how exciting it is to receive these accolades, but It will not get you there any faster. Both Ukswrath and myself will always prefer that if you are requested to modify or change anything in your EI review, you always submit the next application with the old photo(s) replaced where it should be and not added on to the bottom. This makes for a cleaner application not just for us, but any member that is reading through to see if they are on the right track with their application. Yes many use these as guides before they submit their own, I know I did. As you can imagine, we have quite a few applications coming in and we both try and make a start on new apps every day possible. It is getting a little confusing as we try and do them in order of oldest to newest so bouncing between threads and seeing double has us rechecking things we have seen. I am sure everyone is excited and doesn't want delays any greater than necessary, so please wait for your Expert infantry review before posting up a Centurion application. This will assist both Uk and myself greatly. Thank you for your time and understanding Your friendly neighborhood Deployment officer Sly

  5. Just one thing, could you please put a link to your EIB application in the top section of your Centurion application. Thank you
  6. Great work Fernando, we will be with you shortly
  7. Hey Carlos welcome and thank you for your EI application. Lets see what we have here.. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review your armour in detail and make suggestions that will help make you look the best you can. If any of these recommendations would effect this or a future application, it is stated in the above and below sections. Firstly, this is a great application, to show some of the improvements that can be made to an Anovos kit for screen accuracy. Thanks for refining the helmet points that we talk about so often when reviewing Anovos armour. If anything I would still make the vocoder outline shape a little more prominent. The only other item to mention is the gap between your shoulder bell tops and the plastic shoulder bridges. Just bring them in so they virtually touch Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. We can happily say that there isnt anything that stands out, which is excellent. Make sure you include a photo of the back of your belt so we can see the drop boxes are enclosed at the rear, as well as all other photos on the Centurion check list. Congratulations yet again for a very clean set of armour and an easy application. Make your fine tuning and we will see you in Centurion soon.
  8. Nice work so far . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. 9-16 tube stripes, and no it doeskin matter as long as you fall in those guide lines.
  10. Hey Victor!, welcome to your EIB review and thanks for your application, lets take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry so congratulations Trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observation made by us and your fellow troopers, if any of these observation would affect a future application, they will be made in the above and or below sections. One balance issue we do see here often is larger than necessary gaps between the top of the shoulder bells and the plastic shoulder bridges. These should be close to if not touching. Thank you for fixing these and submitting a new photo. The other minor element is probably just a dressing issue, but try and keep the gap between the bicep and forearm even on both sides, again this will have you looking more balanced. Reference Image Butt Plate popping out : When we look at your internal strapping in the image below this one, I can see that you have a couple of options. Moving your snap plates to the return edge allows for less elastic between the Butt and kidney plates and should reduce the amount the butt pops away from your body. Also using wider elastic that has less stretch can also help matters here. Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. Victor, you have done an excellent job of this SDS build and with the minor adjustments above you will look superb. One thing with your blaster, which we do come across from time to time is the rear sight mounting. In your case it is on back to front. The options are to try and carefully remove it and turn it around so the rough or serrated edge is facing the back, or do as Justjoseph has done and smooth out the serration on the front and carefully file the groves across the back portion and touch up the paint job. Reference image Well that's it, thank you again for a great application, make some adjustments and we hope to see you in the Centurion thread soon.
  11. Hi David, thank you for your application for Centurion. Thank you for adding the missing pictures and making the requested forearm adjustments. Let's get started! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present, and your armor has met all necessary requirements for level 3 CRL. Uk and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the Centurion ranks. Great job. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we make additional suggestions that will enhance the look of your armor. These suggestions are ultimately up to you and will not effect your L3 application. During your EIB application I suggested you bring your shoulder bells closer to your shoulder bridges and it looks like you did thank you however, moving them even closer so they basically touch is highly suggested, they still look to be a good 1" away. We also mention trimming the left forearm cover strip due it overhangs the return. We would also like to add maybe reducing the gap between the bicep and form. All these suggestions will give your armor a cleaner and more accurate appearance. Excellent! job on your build David and taking on the charging lever challenge you are to also be congratulated .The legion is proud to have another Centurion in it's ranks.
  12. Great job, well done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Looking good Sarah. Just make sure you dont have any sharp corners as not only can they hurt when the dig in to you, but they also can damage your black under suit.
  14. Can we have a photo of the end of your blaster showing the D ring please. Thanks Carlos
  15. Hi Victor, just having a look at your submission and I have a suggestion for you. Shoulder bells: Any chance you could shorten up those top straps so the top of the bell touches the plastic shoulder bridge. Yours have a fair gap and don't look even.
  16. I agree Tim, maybe only good for some rough size and scaling, other than that, the only way to get those sharp details in ABS would be to use negative pulls and machined negative bucks. Of course the Beaty of that is also more even and consistent pulls. I know a local guy that has constructed a negative vac former for small pieces and the results are awesome. He makes BTTF bits and pieces not really SW stuff. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I believe the colour reference was to do with the limited artwork that was around for Deathtroopers. I guess green is a sick feeling colour and anything associated with rot probably lends itself to it. Perhaps it also represents mould growing on the armour from the rotting flesh beneath . 18. Hey Joseph, well here we are again thank you for another Centurion application. Let's get it signed sealed and delivered. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present. Your armor meets the requirements for L3. UK and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the Centurion ranks again!! Nice work. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: So whats next, Death trooper, FO TK, maybe, I think there are still a few more you can aim for Centurion with Keep up the great work.
  19. Hi Reno, thank you for your application, lets get to it. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. and your armour represents all elements as required by the Level 2 CRL,, with that said, Congratulations and welcome to Expert Infantry!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by us and your fellow troopers. Suggestions made here are to improve the overall look of your armor . If these suggestions would effect an application they will be mentioned in the above or below sections. This is a wonderful build with all the juicy upgrades that can make the Anovos kit look so much better, thank you for the added effort. The only thing I can see is the fact that one thigh looks quite a bit larger than the other and lacks some tapper to it. At first I thought it may just be camera angle but when we look front and rear you can see the large gap between your knee and the bottom of the thigh. It also makes the ammo pack look expanded or large in comparison to the overall fit and balance of your armour. I would recommend cutting a wedge out to improve the taper to the knee and reduce the amount of play you will find during walking. This can also make you look knock kneed if the thigh starts to sit crooked. Centurion Suggestions: In this section, UK and I do our best to find anything that would effect your future Centurion application and high light it. Just watch the gap opening on you side between the Ab and kidney plate and the Butt plate is slipping up a touch, other than that, I am happy to say that unless more detailed photos reveal anything, you have one very clean build and we hope to see you in Centurion soon. Congratulations
  20. Hey Chris thank you for your EIB application, lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Great job on the prosthetics, however we do feel that there is not enough of the Drab olive weathering compared to past EI submissions and the CRL images. Without further delay, your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by us and your fellow troopers. Suggestions made here are to improve the overall look of your armor . If these suggestions would effect an application they will be mentioned in the above or below sections. Excellent work with the prosthetics Chris from head to toe, literally, but we do have a few things to mention that will go a long way to making this Deathtrooper even better for a future Centurion application. Starting with the accuracy points, the Anovos Hovi tips could have the mesh replaced to a slightly larger guage as in the reference photo below, maybe even some more weathering or a bit of damage would go down a treat. I like the fact that you used to have a holster, torn off probably by the explosion that killed you originally, but perhaps dull down the shiney rivets so they look worn to match in with the rest of your look. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we try to point out all we can to make your armor as accurate as possible for a successful Centurion application. Because the Deathtrooper is a rare creature, this can be tricky and a little subjective. Both Tony and I agree, that your armour can do with more weathering in the drab olive green colour. It looks quite white compared to applications in the past so we would really like to see you take this up a notch. As I mentioned in the above section, your prosthetics are excellent the crack and damage work are also first class, just needs some more dirtying up You will also need to paint your side rivets white and add some weathering to those too. Well, that's the ball game!, thanks again for a really solid build, and your the first Anovos Deathtrooper to boot. See you in Centurion soon we hope.
  21. Tolo is correct, the only way to have a legitimate recast would be to obtain full permission from the maker you wish to copy off, but it is still called a recast. I can't see Anovos giving anyone permission to copy their product considering the expense they went to obtaining an official licence from Disney LFL. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
