TK-69937 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [Anovos] [643]
Sly11 replied to YaY Pizza's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hi Jay!, thank you for your application time to get stuck into it. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Great work Jay, we see you have quite the collection of armour going on behind you Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few things to look at, the first two are simple adjustments, the remainder we will discuss in the Centurion section. Lets start at the shoulders, these can still come in a touch so if you want that screen accurate style the top of the bells should virtually touch the plastic shoulder bridges. The other adjustment looks to only be a dressing issue with your sniper shin. Just rotate it towards the center line of the thigh and it will be perfect. Reference images Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. There are a few things that will need change or adjustment as per the Lvl 3 CRLand also to have you looking near perfect so lets take a look. Looks like something funky is going on with your tube stripes. Yes they are meant to be hand painted but we do feel they need a re-do to even them up. Have you tried the stencils available on Trooperbay, many have had great success with them and apparently painting them white first before adding the blue alleviate the chances of the paint bleeding. Oh and nice upgrades to the Anovos Helmet, The Hovis and frown are what we like to see changed up from the original offering, the correct screws in your Thermal det didn't go unnoticed either One of the key points with Centurion is closing up the side aps between Ab and Kidney plates. There are two options, either undergo a strict regime of starving ones self (not my favorite option, as I like beer ) or make side shims and blend them in with ABS paste (the quicker and easier solution ) Currently you are at the absolute limit of what we can usually pass for EIB, so Shimming the Kidney plate is your friend. It is great to see you have some latex hand guards, but unfortunately they are the Hero style, and you have a Stunt build. Please replace with the correct type for a Centurion application reference for style of hand guard The image is slightly blury so It's tuff to gauge if the charging handle is on the correct way. It should curve towards the front of the E11, so we would ask for a clear set of images in your Centurion application to highlight it is in fact installed correctly. Overall this is a sweet build, with only a few steps to get you to Centurion. Follow the level 3 CRL and photo check list, make your adjustments and modifications, ans we expect to see a Centurion application from you in the future. Well done trooper, head on out and make your garrison proud -

Hey Michael welcome. Thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Yet another beautiful build comes across the DO's desk, well done Trooper, you look stunning. Just a few things to get you to 100% with little effort needed. It appears that your Butt plate is catching inside your thigh armour, so I think dropping the thighs just a touch (maybe 1 cm) should stop this from happening. And I am positive this one is only a dressing issue, but make sure for your Centurion photos you have all joints as evenly spaced as possible, the rest of your balance is very good. Just move the fore arm up a smidgen so it is even with the opposite gap. Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. OK this one is a must fix. Your drop boxes sit in from the ends of the ammo belt, where in Level 3 the CRL states . Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt. I think yours have just slipped inwards, so a dab of glue or even some Velcro between the elastic strap of the drop box and the canvas belt will secure them in perfect place. This next one is purely for accuracy, but if you can switch out the Phillips head screws for some flat blade ones, it would be perfect. Reference image You are only an application away from Centurion rank, make your adjustments and we shall see you again soon, Congratulations -

Hi Kurt, thank you for your application lets check it out. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Very nice work Kurt, you should be proud of yourself, I do like the AP kit and it looks great on you. We have a few minor things for you to tweak that will get you looking spot on. Number 1 is to simply remove the white paint from the snap in the top corner of your ab plate. Reference image Number 2 is your thigh cover strips. We see that Joseph made a comment in your application thread and you have acknowledged it is something you wish to fix. The cover strips should finish at the very top of the thigh armour where yours look to stop before it. I am not sure what type of glue you used, but if it was E6000, i would remove them and put some longer ones in their place. You still may need to do a small amount of trimming with those edges but the most of it would be covered. If you have used CA glue, those strips will be on there real good so if that is the case please don't try and remove them and go the trimming route. Number 3 If you can rotate those shoulder bells forward to reduce the black area for you Centurion photos, its going to look fantastic. Reference image And last of all, shorten the Thermal det clips up so they dont sit down below the belt line. I think if you can address the areas above, you are in prime position for Centurion. Make sure you go through the Level 3 requirements and photo check list make your adjustments and additions and we shall see you in Centurion review soon. Congratulations once again -

Hey Denis, thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We thank you for such a clean and detailed application, its very obvious you take a lot of pride in your armour and its presentation. Only a couple of very minor things to go over, for one, the unevenness of your shoulder bridge positioning. Joseph pointed this out and it seems you are all over it, so it would be great to see a new photo when its done, but leave that for your Centurion application. Secondly, and this is only from an accuracy stand point, but the screws in your Thermal et can be replaced with a standard Flat blade variety. Its no deal breaker but considering your attention to detail, you might as well change them Great catch with the backwards rear sight, your blaster also looks fantastic. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: Maybe you could trim a little more of the excess material out of the Kidney notch area and square up the corner a bit more. it is fine to keep a slight curve in it probably not as much as it currently has. That's it, we have othing more to add here except get your Centurion application in!! Congratulation yet again -

Hi Daphne, thank you for your patience and welcome to your EI review. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a couple areas we'd like to mention. This is most probably a photo issue more than anything but it might pay to shorten up the connecting strap between the back and kidney plate on your left side and close up the gap. Also if you can raise your fore arm so the gap is closed up and they match, you will look perfect. Not much to add, although we did struggle a little to see the level of scuffing/weathering to the Blue stripes on some parts of your armour, I think due to the level of light and reflections, so as a suggestion, if you intend to apply for Centurion, could we please ask for you to retake some of the photos so it is clear to see the scuffing matches the overall level of weathering of this great build. other than follow the Photo guide and CRL section for Centurion level, and we hope to see you there in the near future. Congratulations!! -

Hey Rasmus!!, welcome to your EI review. Thank you for your applications, lets go through it. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Thank you for a fantastic submission and a very well built set of armour from RS prop, we never get tired of seeing their kit. The armour fits you perfectly. Centurion Suggestions: If we were to be really picky and try and find something out of place it would be the position of the Thermal Detonator clips. The CRL states little to no gap between the clip and the end caps. It looks like you have a few mm to play with to move yours out. Reference image Congratulations again and see you in Centurion soon -

Hey Dave welcome and thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below Well considering your 6'3" tall, you still managed to squeeze into AP armour we think you have done a great job. There is really not much to go through here just a few adjustments to bring the gaps into some balance. Perhaps bring those fore arms up about an inch so you don't have such a gap between the tops of them and the bottom of the Biceps. Secondly, just keep an eye on those shoulder bells, as they are pulling the white elastic out from under the shoulder bridges. I would also rotate them forward to also reduce the gap between them and the chest plate. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. Follow the level 3 CRL and Photo reference guide, to make sure you add everything required and unless something pops up that we cant see now, there is no reason why you should not submit for Centurion. Congratulation Dave on a job well done. -

Hi Shawn, I am back from my work trip and back in action with approvals Could you please suit up and give us two new side on shots with your newly improved armour, and also a new action shot as you have now removed the decal from the shoulder bell. I applaud you for your perseverance and willingness to jump on every suggestion that has been made. While i am at it, please be mindful of your drop boxes moving around. They should be aligned with the ends of the ammo belt. Its not an EI requirement, but it is a Centurion one so might as well address it here cause your looking good. -
It does look that way, so if it is, then considering how the sins need to flex open to get into, the ridge would need to be constructed of a flexible type material. You could 3D print the shape, make moulds and cast in A white rubber to get the hard edges and allow for flex. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Welcome to your EIB review Sean, and thank you for applying. Lets take a look at your armour. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we go through overall fit and balance of your armour. We may suggest adjustments and corrections along the way. If any of these will effect a future application, they will be mentioned in the below Centurion section. Great job Sean, only a few very minor adjustments will have you looking even sharper, so lets cover those off. You still have a small amount of gap between the shoulder bridges and the bells that can be adjusted in by shortening the top straps. If they are just touching, that is the perfect look. Reference image We also would like to see your biceps dropped a bit to close up the gap between them and the fore arm. In tur you might be able to drop the fore arms just a touch as well so you don't have as large a gap between the wrist end and the hand. Here we can see how low the biceps were worn to try and eliminate the black gaps between the arm pieces . The other adjustment to look at is the drop box alignment. These need to sit in line with the ends of the plastic ammo belt. Perhaps a small dab of glue on the elastic to the back of the canvas belt will keep them from moving around. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: This section is where we do our best to prepare you for Centurion. Sometimes details cant be seen clearly in the EI set of images that can be in the more extensive photos requested. From what we can see, you are in good shape, make those few adjustments, follow the Photo guide and the CRL to make sure you have all required elements and we shall see you again soon in Centurion review. Congratulations -

Problem with PETG is it's flexible rubber content, and the fact that with heat it can almost heal minor blemishes. it's the stuff they make Coke bottles out of, Sprite etc, and the material is coloured during the process of manufacture. I can't recall seeing dyed PETG , have you actually had success colouring it this way in the past? The dye might be adhering to tiny scratches and pits and as it sits within them the stain is much darker than the smooth areas. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hey there Manny, thank you for your application for Centurion, lets get to it!! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present and your armor meets all requirements as set out by the level 3 CRL. With that UK and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the Centurion ranks. Great job. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Everything looks great, and your armour fits you very well. My concern is only that you unfortunately cut away the shin behind the sniper plate unnecessarily. If you are ever in doubt about advice that is given, be it from your garrison friends or troopers here in the detachment, regarding your armour, it is always best policy to check with Tony or myself via PM. We will always have your best interest at heart and never instruct anyone to cut away parts of armour unless it is absolutely necessary and fitting with the word of the CRL. Fantastic job all round and Congratulation once more on reaching Centurion rank -

Hi Sean, could you please add a photo of the rear of your blaster showing the D ring. Thank you fr your patience we will be with you soon. -
Yes in metric terms sheets of 60x60cm is the most economical way to cut up a sheet of ABS, you should also be able to vac form all parts of a TK from that size. Be prepared for a learning curve and some wasted plastic while you work out the appropriate length of time to heat your plastic based on your heater element and vac pressure. The trick is getting consistent pulls on all the various shapes. Also bare in mind not all ABS is the same quality, so it may take a while to find a good supplier. You can also practice with different thickness to see how your table deals with 1.5mm, 2mm ABS and HIPS. There is a great deal of satisfaction when you finally get good clean and even pulls. There are also other aspects to consider, so keep researching before you invest too much money
