  1. Anyone with any up to date info on the Ski boot buckles yet eg price and where from
  2. It seems the yolk crack is becoming common, like cracking the shoulder bridges on an OT TK, almost the same method with a backing piece and ABS paste. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Lae to the party, but your good to go. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Hi again Luis It apperas that your sniper plate is riveted on, unfortunately, this is not allowed at EIB level, so we kindly request that you renove them and make some ABS paste to neatly fill the holes, take some new photos and post them up when your done. CRL For level two certification (if applicable): Sniper knee plate must be aligned with the ridges on the shin. Sniper knee plate must not have visible rivets or fasteners attaching it to the shin.
  5. Hey Sarah, thank you for your Centurion application. Let's get started. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos are present and your armor meets all the Centurion requirements. Ukswrath and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the Centurion level. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we make suggestions mentioned by your fellow troopers, or ourselves. . Our only suggestion would be to maybe try and even up those shoulder bridges, one is mounted higher on the chest and the difference is quite noticeable from behind. Congratulations again, on achieving this award
  6. Hi Mark Sorry mate, but you will need to remove the decal from the shoulder bell for your application and approval. After that it is up to you what you do with your armour,so you can put another one back on. Currently we are running behind, so will be with you as soon as possible. Cheers
  7. Hey Jamie, nice work. We are running behind as the applications are coming through thick and fast, plus work commitments are also keeping Tony and myself busy. We will be with you as soon as possible.
  8. Hi Robert, running a little behind as usualbut will be with you as soon as possible. Great build.
  9. Hi David, the guys have offered you some great advise, thanks for taking it onboard and we are looking forward to seeing your modifications.
  10. Hey Luis, could you please post up a photo of the end of your blaster showing the D ring. Thanks for your patience we shall be with you soon.
  11. Hi Dennis, welcome to your Centurion review!! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present and your armour meets the guidelines as set out in the Level three CRL, without further delay, welcome to Centurion trooper Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Thank you for making suggested modifications, your armour looks superb and this is a very well deserved award. Congratulation and continue to make the Singapore Garrison proud
  12. Hey Andy!!, thanks for your application, good to see another Aussie going for EIB, lets take a look!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome to EI rank! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a couple areas we'd like to mention. First off, you look great, very nice build but as you are most probably aware, with the overlap method of TK assembly EI is as far as it is allowable for ANH and ESB, so if you intend to aim for Centurion, and I say why not, you would need to pull the limbs apart and reassemble using the but joint method. Example from Level 3 CRL section Forearms For 501st approval: Forearms are fully closed. For level two certification (if applicable): For level three certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. Forearms must be constructed using the butt joint and cover strip method. Overlap construction is not allowed. We do have a few other minor adjustments you can make to get you looking the best you can so lets take a look at those. Shoulder Bells: The top of the bells should virtually be touching the plastic shoulder bridge. I do realise you are broad across the shoulders but if you shorten the elastic straps that run from the top of the bell to the elastic under the plastic bridges, they will still come in some. The bells can also be rotated forward to reduce the gap between the chest plate. Reference Image Next up we have a slight overlap of the back plate over the Kidney plate. You have two options to remedy this. 1. shorten the white elastic straps that join the chest to back plate ( the straps under the shoulder bridges), this allow the plate to sit a touch higher and rest on top of the return edge of the kidney plate. 2. wear the ab and kidney plate slightly lower, achieving the same outcome. Reference image Hand Plates: I think a little more adhesive under them so they sit flat against the rubber glove will look much tidier, and avid the risk of ripping one off the glove. Drop box positioning: These need to be aligned with the ends of the plastic ammo belt and they should be almost touching the underside of the belt. I use Velcro to keep mine in place but a small dab of glue can also stop them from moving inward. Reference Image And lastly, just for the finishing accuracy touch.....you could change the screws on the Thermal Det to the flay blade variety, and paint them black, the icing on the cake. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. Aside from the assembly of the limbs, we can only see two things that need to be changed here. It appears that the Ab button plates are part of the ab itself and not separate pieces cut out and glued to the Ab. Please see the reference image below yours to understand how this should look. Reference image Last of all is the rear sight of the E11. This little piece is misleading in its looks and quite a few have installed it facing in the opposite direction. If you cant get it off, you can always try and modify it as Justjoseph did for his. He simply filled in the serated edges with model putty, and filed a set of groves in the other end, and repainted it. Reference image Andy, you have done an outstanding job with your armour, and I know we have discussed this off line, but I really think you should consider taking the next step towards Centurion. If you can separate those limb parts and but join them, follow the CRL and photo reference guide, there is certainly every chance in the world you can make that level 3. You have already taken steps in accuracy regarding the rivets, rubber gloves and latex hand guards, so why not go for it. We are here to help you get there brother. Congratulations once again and welcome to Expert infantry
  13. Hey Ken welcome to your EI review, we are here at last so lets get into it!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for level 2. Welcome to Expert Infantry trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Only a few things to mention here and these are strapping adjustments and all very simple. Your shoulder bells do need to come in at the top, so the bell virtually touches the plastic shoulder bridge. The but gap between the side of the bell and the chest plate can also be reduced First try shortening that top strap, but also if you relocate that strap closer to the front rather than have it right in the center of the main straps that join your chest to back, you will find those gaps start to close up. I can see that you are broad across the shoulders but you should be able to get those bells closer to the correct position. Reference Image The next one is to have a look at the strap on your left side, Back to kidney plate. The gap we can see in the below image could be caused due to you wearing your blaster in the holster, but just make sure the elastic strap is the same length as the opposite side. If not, shorten it up so the plates align evenly across the back Moving on to the side photos, we see that your Ab plate is slipping out of alignment with the kidney plate. This may only occur when raising your arms straight out, so as an option when taking some new photos for Centurion, maybe try bringing your arms forward rather than straight out and see if that alleviates the slip. Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. The main thing that jumps out will be to close up those side gaps on both sides of your Ab to Kidney plate, and to really focus on the overall alignment of armour. Maybe coach who ever is taking your photos, on what they need to look for so you can look your absolute best. We are glad you sorted out the Photobucket issues and have been able to post up the requested images. Overall you look awesome, just take a little time going through the level 3 CRL and the photo check list, make your adjustments and we shall see you in Centurion soon. Congratulations Ken, you did it brother
  14. Hi Doug Please post up a photo showing the elastic on the shoulder bell that goes around the Bicep. Thanks buddy
  15. Incredible work, and Vac formed you say, wow, just wow Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Hey Andy, good to see you here my friend, I'm slowly catching up so shouldn't be too long and I will get to your review. Hows the Fan kit going mate?
  17. Hi Jay!, thank you for your application time to get stuck into it. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Great work Jay, we see you have quite the collection of armour going on behind you Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few things to look at, the first two are simple adjustments, the remainder we will discuss in the Centurion section. Lets start at the shoulders, these can still come in a touch so if you want that screen accurate style the top of the bells should virtually touch the plastic shoulder bridges. The other adjustment looks to only be a dressing issue with your sniper shin. Just rotate it towards the center line of the thigh and it will be perfect. Reference images Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. There are a few things that will need change or adjustment as per the Lvl 3 CRLand also to have you looking near perfect so lets take a look. Looks like something funky is going on with your tube stripes. Yes they are meant to be hand painted but we do feel they need a re-do to even them up. Have you tried the stencils available on Trooperbay, many have had great success with them and apparently painting them white first before adding the blue alleviate the chances of the paint bleeding. Oh and nice upgrades to the Anovos Helmet, The Hovis and frown are what we like to see changed up from the original offering, the correct screws in your Thermal det didn't go unnoticed either One of the key points with Centurion is closing up the side aps between Ab and Kidney plates. There are two options, either undergo a strict regime of starving ones self (not my favorite option, as I like beer ) or make side shims and blend them in with ABS paste (the quicker and easier solution ) Currently you are at the absolute limit of what we can usually pass for EIB, so Shimming the Kidney plate is your friend. It is great to see you have some latex hand guards, but unfortunately they are the Hero style, and you have a Stunt build. Please replace with the correct type for a Centurion application reference for style of hand guard The image is slightly blury so It's tuff to gauge if the charging handle is on the correct way. It should curve towards the front of the E11, so we would ask for a clear set of images in your Centurion application to highlight it is in fact installed correctly. Overall this is a sweet build, with only a few steps to get you to Centurion. Follow the level 3 CRL and photo check list, make your adjustments and modifications, ans we expect to see a Centurion application from you in the future. Well done trooper, head on out and make your garrison proud
  18. Very Nice Dougie, I'm running a little behind and will be with you shortly.
  19. Hi Jay, nice build Could we please get a photo of the rear of your blaster showing the D ring. Many thanks and will be with you shortly Cancel that its already there
  20. Hey Michael welcome. Thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Yet another beautiful build comes across the DO's desk, well done Trooper, you look stunning. Just a few things to get you to 100% with little effort needed. It appears that your Butt plate is catching inside your thigh armour, so I think dropping the thighs just a touch (maybe 1 cm) should stop this from happening. And I am positive this one is only a dressing issue, but make sure for your Centurion photos you have all joints as evenly spaced as possible, the rest of your balance is very good. Just move the fore arm up a smidgen so it is even with the opposite gap. OK this one is a must fix. Your drop boxes sit in from the ends of the ammo belt, where in Level 3 the CRL states . Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt. I think yours have just slipped inwards, so a dab of glue or even some Velcro between the elastic strap of the drop box and the canvas belt will secure them in perfect place. This next one is purely for accuracy, but if you can switch out the Phillips head screws for some flat blade ones, it would be perfect. Reference image You are only an application away from Centurion rank, make your adjustments and we shall see you again soon, Congratulations
  21. Hi Kurt, thank you for your application lets check it out. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Very nice work Kurt, you should be proud of yourself, I do like the AP kit and it looks great on you. We have a few minor things for you to tweak that will get you looking spot on. Number 1 is to simply remove the white paint from the snap in the top corner of your ab plate. Reference image Number 2 is your thigh cover strips. We see that Joseph made a comment in your application thread and you have acknowledged it is something you wish to fix. The cover strips should finish at the very top of the thigh armour where yours look to stop before it. I am not sure what type of glue you used, but if it was E6000, i would remove them and put some longer ones in their place. You still may need to do a small amount of trimming with those edges but the most of it would be covered. If you have used CA glue, those strips will be on there real good so if that is the case please don't try and remove them and go the trimming route. Number 3 If you can rotate those shoulder bells forward to reduce the black area for you Centurion photos, its going to look fantastic. Reference image And last of all, shorten the Thermal det clips up so they dont sit down below the belt line. I think if you can address the areas above, you are in prime position for Centurion. Make sure you go through the Level 3 requirements and photo check list make your adjustments and additions and we shall see you in Centurion review soon. Congratulations once again
  22. Great work on these guys, well done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Hey Denis, thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We thank you for such a clean and detailed application, its very obvious you take a lot of pride in your armour and its presentation. Only a couple of very minor things to go over, for one, the unevenness of your shoulder bridge positioning. Joseph pointed this out and it seems you are all over it, so it would be great to see a new photo when its done, but leave that for your Centurion application. Secondly, and this is only from an accuracy stand point, but the screws in your Thermal et can be replaced with a standard Flat blade variety. Its no deal breaker but considering your attention to detail, you might as well change them Great catch with the backwards rear sight, your blaster also looks fantastic. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: Maybe you could trim a little more of the excess material out of the Kidney notch area and square up the corner a bit more. it is fine to keep a slight curve in it probably not as much as it currently has. That's it, we have othing more to add here except get your Centurion application in!! Congratulation yet again
  24. Hi Daphne, thank you for your patience and welcome to your EI review. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! This is most probably a photo issue more than anything but it might pay to shorten up the connecting strap between the back and kidney plate on your left side and close up the gap. Also if you can raise your fore arm so the gap is closed up and they match, you will look perfect. Not much to add, although we did struggle a little to see the level of scuffing/weathering to the Blue stripes on some parts of your armour, I think due to the level of light and reflections, so as a suggestion, if you intend to apply for Centurion, could we please ask for you to retake some of the photos so it is clear to see the scuffing matches the overall level of weathering of this great build. other than follow the Photo guide and CRL section for Centurion level, and we hope to see you there in the near future. Congratulations!!
