  1. Hi Nicholas Was in the process of doing your application and we can no longer see the images, just links any chance you can look into it for us so we can complete your appraisal please.
  2. Hey Asa, welcome back and thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present and your armour contains all element as required in the level 3 CRL. Thank you for making the updates suggested during your EIB application so with no further adieu, Tony and I would like to congratulation you on your new rank It was obvious from your EI application that Centurion was the goal and great to read at the start of this application, that you were still nervous waiting the final result, it is a well deserved accolade. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: We have nothing to add here. Head on out and make your garrison and the Empire proud sir
  3. Hi Paul, thank you for your EI application. Lets see what we have. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Great work Paul Welcome to the ranks Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Thank you for making the adjustments we mentioned in this thread, you must admit, you look so much beeter, great work. On an accuracy side, those screws on your thermal det could do with some black paint. If you want to take it another step, the original screw heads were a Pan head type which is flat and not domed as in the below reference image Reference image Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. From what we can see, the only item that stands out is your drop box positioning. They should be aligned with the outer most edge of the ammo belt and just below it with little to no gap. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. I hope your photo posting woes are over lol, please use the Centurion photo check list and post your images up in any future application, in the correct order and preferably in the one post. That's it Paul, congratulations and hope to see you in Centurion soon
  4. excellent wok, will get back onto your application shortly
  5. Lol I would have put money on the fact you would be first Glen, excellent work mate Tony and I will do this one together for sure .
  6. Hi Nicholas, we will be with you shortly, but in the mean time could you please add your action shot, it is missing from your application.
  7. Hi Gary welcome back and thank your Centurion application, let's check you out. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present, and your armor displays all the elements as set out in the Centurion CRL. Tony and I would like to congratulate and welcome you to the L3 rank trooper. Great work. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Nothing more to add, Congratulations sir.
  8. Awesome brother, look forward to the new photos.
  9. Hi Gary, just noticed that your shoulder bells were sitting nicely in your EI photos, but here in your Centurion images they are sitting away from the top of the bridges. Could we please ask for you to correct them as we need you looking your best for this one Post up a new photo and we shall get cracking on your review.
  10. Hey Asa Thank you for your EI application lets see what we have. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome to the rank trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. There are only a few things to cover here, all very easy to fix. The first item is a common change that we request many applicants make, and it is to bring in the top of those shoulder bells so they virtually touch the plastic shoulder bridges. Your bells could also do with a slight rotation forward to reduce the overall gap between than and the chest plate Screen reference The gap between Bicep bottom and the top of the fore arms can be reduced if you drop the biceps and raise the fore arms. Its only a small amount each but it will even out the gaps so you are in balance. Reference We also noticed you have plenty of return edge on some of the pieces that could be trimmed down a touch. This has no bearing on your application more a comfort thing that also allows a bit more flex in the armour pieces. The top of the Ab plate looks like it could stick into you or damaged your under suit so reducing that return might prevent that. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. You have supplied a few extra images that always help us make better decisions when appraising armour builds, so thank you for those. I cant see anything that would hinder a successful Centurion application, so make a few minor adjustments make sure you have all required photos submitted and get that Centurion application in. Congratulations Trooper, head on out
  11. Hi Asa I am in the midst's of your application review and we have found something that we would like you to change. It falls into the level 2 CRL so will be a requirement to pass EIB For level two certification (if applicable): There shall be three square buttons, one centered in the middle and one on each end of the plastic ammo belt.. It appears that your 3 buttons are in fact rectangular and not square, so we will require some of the extra material to be trimmed off. Hopefully these are glued on with E6000 so the task is quick and simple.
  12. Very nice indeed, we shall be with you shortly Asa
  13. Thanks Paul, look forward to seeing the updates.
  14. Hi Paul, thanks for persevering with uploading your images and also your patience. Tony and I are just catching up on the apps, so while you wait, we are going to ask you to fix up a couple of minor things to tidy up your application. Your fellow troopers have mentioned both the gaps between your shoulder bells and the plastic bridges, and the side gaps between your Kidney and Ab plates. Both of these will need to be brought in., so shorten the top straps on the shoulder Bells if you can. The gaps in your mid section need to be no more than 1/2 " on both sides. At the moment you ave basically no gap on the rivet side ( Ideal on both sides for Centurion) and a large gap on the opposite side. I think if you let the straps out on the rivet side , you should be able to get both gaps to the 1/2". (This one is part of the EI CRL and will definitely need addressing) One last item, you will need to remove the white pant from the cod rivet, as it should not be painted. Please post up a couple of new photos when done.
  15. So so impressive, outstanding designs. This is going to be almost impossible to select one winner. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Welcome back Taylor and thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present. Thank you for making the updates suggested during your EIB application. Tony and i are pleased to say your armor displays all the elements as set out in the Centurion CRL. Congratulate and welcome to Centurion rank!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: We have nothing to add here. Great job on your build. Time to head on out and make your garrison proud.
  17. Hey Gary thank you for your patience and EIB application. Lets get stuck in. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. As your fellow troopers have mentioned, what a great job on your armor build. . Tony and myself would like to both congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry Rank. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have just a few small items to cover. Two items are in this image, so lets look at the Shin closure cover strips first as I have highlighted those. The cover strips should actually stop right at the base of the top ridges and not go over and onto then. The second item is the Butt plate and how it looks like the butt strap is not connected causing it to not curve under quite as much as it should. Screen used item reference image The only other item for consideration is the height of your belt. If you can bring it up a little to cover the bottom of the main Ab button plate it will be spot on. Sceen shot Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern this is where we discuss them. Firstly, thanks for the extra images, they do make this part of the review that much easier. Only two items to report that require attention to meet the Level 3 CRL Please also make sure you provide an image of both your forearms side by side showing the wrist opening for a future Centurion application. For level three certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. Last item on the short list is the Drop Boxes. This is nothing a dab of glue or a piece of adhesive Velcro wont fix and stop them from sliding along the canvas part of the belt. As per the CRL CRL: *For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap. Well here we are at the end of your review Gay, nice work and well done. Smash these little corrections and we shall see you in Centurion review soon.
  18. Hi Jorge, welcome back. Thank you for your Centurion application. Let's get started. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted.Thank your for making the suggested and adjustment mentioned during your EIB approval, and those also mentioned in this thread. Very nice work Your armor now contains all necessary elements to qualify you for L3. Tony and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to Centurion rank sir. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Nothing more to add.
  19. Fixes look good Jorge. Just need to complete some EI apps and I will be back with you as soon as I can.
  20. Personalty I have no issue with the colour of the leather straps. Its not specific in the CRL so you have nothing to worry about there. Thanks for your patience Gary, I am working on your application now and will be with you as soon as possible.
  21. Hey Jean-Baptiste, welcome and thank you for your EI application. Lets hit it!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. We have a couple minor suggestions to mention here. Just a small gap that we think can still be closed up some more. if you can get the top of the bells to touch the plastic shoulder bridges, it will be spot on. The only other item is one of those finer accuracy points that wont effect an application but, is something we really like to see. The correct screw type is a Pan head slotted , where these are a dome head slotted. Like I said, that's not a big deal, but a coat of black paint on those screw heads is going to look magic and get you another step closer to screen accurate. Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. From what we can see, the only item that stands out is your drop box positioning. They appear to move in and out on the canvas belt where they should be always positioned in alignment with the ends of the plastic portion. This is nothing a small dab of glue or some Velcro wont fix. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. That is all my friend, congratulations on a great build, tidy application and achieving Expert infantry rank. We hope to see you in Centurion review soon
  22. Hey Dave thank you for your EIB application and your patience. Let's get right to it. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted, and your armour meets all the necessary requirements for level 2. With that Tony and myself would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry, congratulations Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Great looking armour Dave, only a few dressing issues to cover off on so nothing that wont take you a matter of moments to correct First one is your left thigh, or the right one if you are looking at the image. Just needs to be rotated inwards so the cover strips line up at the front. Two main areas in this image, number one, you could still shorten the black straps connecting the top of the shoulder bells to the elastic under the bridges. If you can make those two touch it will be perfect. The second is to just preposition your Thermal Det so it is central rather than sitting more to one side. Another thought might be to tighten up the internal strapping on the left to bring the Back and Kidney plates evenly together so you dont have the gap that is appearing in this photo. On both the left and right side, your Ab and Kidney plates are quite a bit out of alignment. The addition of some extra strapping that is tighter than the current piano wire and elastic set up will certainly help to stop this occurring. The two halves should but up against each other rather than overlap, and be reasonably level across the top. Last mod for this section we look at the buttons on your Ab plate. These are all different sizes, and will look better if they are uniform. If I was to choose the best one it is the Blue button I have placed a tick next to. If you could repaint the rest as well as this one is, its going to look nice and tidy. Screen used armour reference image. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. More photos are requested that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustment etc. If there are any areas of concern that would effect a future application they will be discussed here. The only item we can see here is your Drop Boxes. The appear to move around a little so a dab of glue on the connecting straps will keep them aligned with the ends of the plastic ammo belt. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. That's the Ball game Dave, congratulations for a great application and successful EI approval. We hope to see you in Centurion review soon
  23. Hi Dave, can you add the rest of the info at the start of your EI application please Name: 501st ID: FISD Forum Name: Garrison: Cheers
  24. Hey Taylor thank you for your EIB application. Let's get cracking!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos and some are present. You armor displays all the necessary components as set out in the CRL for L2. Tony and myself would like to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry . Excellent job Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few minor areas to go over here so let's get to it. Two things with your Biceps. Maybe drop them down a touch to even out the black gaps between them and the other end of the fore arms . Secondly there is some extra material past the return edge that could be sanded off or trimmed away. Both only very minor adjustment. This one cis just an alignment or dressing issue, but your belt could be a little higher up in the middle so it is sitting on or over the bottom of the main button plate. Reference image As we look around to your back and kidney plates there is a considerable overlap of the two. Looks to be maybe an inch or so. These two plates should sit neatly on top of each other. There are two options to achieve this. 1. Drop the kidney plate or 2, and this is by far the most common approach, lift the back plate by trimming from the top section around the neck of the back plate. Better than trimming from the bottom of that piece as it allows the lower return edge to stay and have the parts butt up nicely. Screen shot One last thing for this section and not a deal breaker but a step closer to screen accuracy would be to trim some of the button plate edges back. The small button plate should sit within the raised section it's mounted upon as in the lower reference image. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern that would effect a successful application this is where we discuss them. You have done a brilliant job of your armour and having the extra photos does make it easier for us to pinpoint certain correction. You only have two areas of concern and both very easy to remedy. Firstly, you will need to remove any and all of the return edge from the wrist ends of your forearms to meet the Lvl 3 CRL For level three certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. Reference Image Drop box alignment. The CRL states: For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. This is an easy fix, if you glue the drop box straps to the waist cloth belt you shouldn't have any more issues with end alignment. Reference image That's it Taylor, you are done. Excellent application and a well deserved Expert infantry badge, Congratulations and see you in Centurion soon.
  25. Hi Taylor Thanks for a very thorough application, we will be with you soon. Thanks for your patience.
