CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted., your armour displays all necessary element as set out in the level 2 CRL, Congratulations. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few areas to go over but these are simple dress issues easily corrected. I have marked all the areas to cover in this one image and supplied reference images bellow. Before we go into those, I must say this is an outstanding build, and you have done the ATA armour great justice James, very nice indeed. 1. Shoulder Bells: You do still have some elastic that looks loose and can be shortened to bring the top of the Bells closer to the shoulder bridges. We can see you have broad shoulders but think the current gap you have could probably be reduces by half. Just shorten those top elastic straps up a bit and you are done. 2. Ammo Belt: This one is very minor. If you could just raise it a touch so the ammo belt is over the bottom edge of the main Ab button plate, it will look just like the screen used armour. 3.Rotating shin/thigh: more than likely, these have just twisted off center while moving around to have your photos taken, but just try and get the cover strips aligned and central as much as you can, this is another very easy adjustment, and to be honest, that is all your build really needs. Shoulder Bells reference. Ammo Belt reference image. 4. Center Thermal Det: Slide that baby across and make sure its sits nice in the middle, also just keep an eye on the back plate as one corner has popped out over the kidney plate. I don't think there is a problem here just happened through moving around. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. Very difficult to really find anything that would hold back a Centurion application James. The extra images seem to cover off on the little extra required so the only things would be getting the side gaps 100% closed. You are virtually there already with that issue which is awesome. Add the D ring photo in your future level 3 app and make sure you also have all relevant images as per the photo check list and the Centurion CRL. Congratulations again, this is very well deserved.

Turpentine will be fine, it is about the most gentle of the thinners available. Dip the toothpick in it and start working the edges, you will see the the paint comes away without too much effort.

Hi Jay Is it the same ABS your armour was built from? different batches will always have a slightly different colour, so maybe you can ask any troopers close by if they have any scraps left and experiment with mixing a little and allowing it to dry on a piece of cardboard to see if it also yellows. How much of a colour difference is it, very or only minor?

Overall your helmet is pretty good. It is hard to see the finer details like the ear screws with small images, but i think you have worked out how to fix that, so lets have some larger shots for your Centurion application. We do think your Vocoder could do with a more defined shape and edge. Take a look at the reference image below to see what we mean. One of the tricks many use is to dip a toothpick in turpentine and scratch away the paint around the edges. Then they repaint the Vocoder with a defined outline. Reference Image Shoulder Bells: These are probably bang on when the elastic white straps under the shoulder bridges has not been pulled out. This is only a dressing issue, and probably the best first photo to take when suiting up for application shots. Get the shot before you need to raise your arms and move around too much causing the elastic to pull out. Secondly, but not a big issue the Bicep and forearm coverstrips should be facing forward and in alignment with each other. Just another dressing issue to be mindful of. Reference Images Back to kidney plate: Strap adjustment nice and simple, only a small amount but not a deal breaker, but your Thermal det is rather lop sided and needs to be pushed down and level. Sniper plate caught under thigh: I see you are on this as mentioned by one of your fellow troopers,foam inside the back of the thigh will do the trick. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. The first item we will mention is the Thermal Det screws. This comes under the discretion of the builder or as we say the final accuracy is up to the applicant. Flat blade screws are the most accurate, so if you want that little finishing touch go get yourself some and replace the Phillips head style. This will have no bearing on a Centurion approval, its just a nice touch. Looks like yo have some white paint on the Ab snap. These should not be painted so I real easy clean up and its done Reference Image Lastly we come to your side shim. Generally you would make a shim for each side so all your armour parts remain central around your middle. I did read that you were contemplating removing it all together, if you do so just remember that should should be no gap either side between Ab and kidney. If you do decide to modify it, may we suggest making two (one for each side) but also you would need to make some ABS paste and get to work removing the join. As per CRL for Level 3 *A single visible seam line is present Well there you have it Mike, EIB approved and next stop Centurion. I don't think there is a single adjustment or modification listed above that is beyond your capabilities. Great build and hope to see you in Centurion review soon.

Hi James Thank you for getting on to IMGUR, the new set of images are much better I do want to mention something already brought up by one of your fellow garrison mates, and that is the side gaps between Ab and Kidney. As per the Level 2 CRL * Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armour is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide Yours does look to be more, but if you can supply an image with a ruler in it measuring the gap while you are wearing the armour, I am happy to be disproved and get on with your review. Tighten the belt and give it a crack. Thanks James, you got this.

Hi Jay Shoulder bell fix is great, but I think you may need to add some more ABS paste and sand and polish the side shims a bit more. It still looks like you have two seam lines and for the CRL it does state *A single visible seam line is present Also looks like there is a bit that can be trimmed off the bottom of the rivet side shim If this is just a bad reflection in the photo, please take another shot and post it up, otherwise get to work . You are looking awesome and are so close you can almost touch it.

Hi Mike Could we please ask for a few more photos. A close up of your side shims A photo of the belt showing the holster attachment from the back. Laying it out on the floor and taking the shot is what most do, and that works for us. Also a closer shot of your Thermal Det so we can see the screws clearly would be wonderful. I see you mentioned you had some troubles loading images, have you tried IMGUR, its easy to use. Look forward to seeing the update photos.

We have a few suggestions that will help with the overall look of your armor, Thank you for sorting out the Thermal Detonator, it looks spot on, well done, so lets look at the suggestions. Your shoulder bridges, could use a little heat treatment, to curve them around. They will sit much flatter to the back plate for you, and reduce the risk of getting caught and cracking. Just while we are on the shoulder area, it would be nice to see those shoulder bells brought in so they touch the bridges at the top. This can be as simple as shortening the connecting strap and it is done. Reference images A couple of small details here on the Ab plates, that you might consider updating one day. The larger plate traditionally has the outer skirt left on it as in the reference image below. The smaller plate, could be trimmed down so it sits with in the surface it is mounted too. These are only suggestions. Reference Image This one is a very easy adjustment. The ammo belt should sit on the base of the main Ab button plate and even slightly overlap the bottom button. We think a tighten of the belt would have it sitting where it should. reference Image Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern this is where they are discussed. Hi Shane The ear screws are an accuracy thing which is up to the trooper, it would be great if you do decide to change them as I think most if not all our other Anovos applicants changed them out for Centurion. One thing though is your side gaps between Ab and kidney plate, you are going to need to tighten that belt to close them up for this application please have a crack a that and submit some new side on photos

Thank you for the extra detail photos, they always make it easier when looking at applications and allow us to make more suggestions if required. Really there isnt anything here that isn't a very quick fix, so Centurion will be easy for you. Lets take a look at the couple of things that can get you looking the best you can for that next application. Probably the most commented on item in our reviews is the shoulder bell position and gap. If you can shorten up those top black straps that connect them to the shoulder bridges, and have them virtually touching the plastic bridge itself, they will look perfect. Reference image. Secondly, the connecting straps between your back and kidney plates might do with a similar type of adjustment. Looks like the center strap is too long, Perhaps even a wider elastic strap in the center might help. Refer to the reference image below of how the two pieces align. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here but with the extra photos you supplied as we mentioned earlier, this is cut and dry. Only one item to mention. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box.Secure your drop box straps to the canvas belt so they cant slide in or out and are always in the correct position as per the CRL. Glue, stitch or even adhesive Velcro will all do the trick Reference image One last thing, as Joseph mentioned in your thread. It is a little hard to tell in the image what rivets you have used on the thigh ammo pack, but if they are infact pop rivets, they will need to be changed to either a split rivet or a cap rivet. Easy fixes Juan, thanks for a great application,congratulations, and we shall see you in Centurion review soon.

If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few minor areas to cover, starting from the top. 1) Shoulder bells and large gap. We get that you are a big trooper, at 6'4", and broad shoulders, and you have done a great job of fitting this armour to your size but we are positive that you can comfortably shorten those top straps the connect the Shoulder Bells to the strapping under the bridges. They should be virtually touching each other, like i the below reference image. Reference image Now this next item has no bearing on your application or approvals, but more a point to make for anyone that looks at your armour and applications. You do not have to do anything here. If we look at the main button plates on the Ab section you can see in the below reference image they are separate and glued onto the armour. RT-Mod are actually molded as one with the ab plate. Now we are not fans of this, but it is how the armour is made and there is not anything an applicant can do to fix this without a major undertaking to modify their armour. What I can say is you have done a very tidy job of painting those buttons, excellent work. reference image Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. It is obvious with your attention to detail Centurion is in your sights. There are only a couple of things that will need changing to meet the level 3 CRL so lets look at those. For level three certification (if applicable): Ear bars shall have only one bump painted in black (rank stripes). Tears/traps shall be hand painted or use decals that emulate hand painted (with correct ANH TK details). Currently you have no rank stripe painted on the ears so the addition of one each side will be a lovely finishing touch. Secondly, the decals you have will need to be replaced. You have two options, hand paint them, or use the hand painted Dave M style sold by a member here on FISD. References Hand paint Or use hand painted style decals like Dave M One last thing to mention, it is difficult to seein these images but just make sure if you apply for Centurion you remove all the return edge from the wrist end of your forearms. The more detailed set of photos required for that level must show both the fore arms together so we can see that aspect for the approval process.
