  1. Actually, please make this info public. Scott is a good guy, so it would be nice to get an update on how he's doing.
  2. Awesome!!! Can I ask what they are made of (just curious)?
  3. There are two main ways to do this - you can use the BraksBuddy method which is essentially using tempura (Woodland Scenics) or water based paint. Others use acrylics which are more permanent but also less forgiving. We'll have to create some weathering tuts here on FISD or else ask to copy some from MEPD.
  4. I just don't know what other material would leave the matching fringes. It's pretty spot on.
  5. EIB page updated - party on troops
  6. Very nice Dave! Yup, you're #77. Also, I realized that you never had your 501st status updated, which I took care of. Lastly please update your profile info with your TKID and home garrison.
  7. Me too. It's wonderful to be able to visit other detachments w/o having to create new logins. We had a problem in one of the trash compactors actually - perhaps one of you Sith Lords can go clear it for us. Leadership by example, and whatnot.
  8. I think the only way to trash them is to edit the post to remove them. By default members have a very limited quota. Supporters get a boost, as to 501st members.
  9. Truth. Also, I'd wish I could see one in person and how it compares to the HF. Anyone want to lend me one ;-)
  10. Wow - looking really good there Rick! I think it turned out well.
  11. FYI guys I can work a magic script that can migrate all your old posts, etc. If you need that - shoot me a PM.
  12. Nothing new to add, except to raise a pint for Paul (Murray1134) for his 1000th post. Can't wait to see you go EIB there, Paul
  13. These are pretty neat Karin - can't wait to see them completed with gloves and all
  14. My presumption would be that it one would have to match the variation you are after, e.g. an ANH blaster if you're doing the sideshow figure variant, or an ROTJ blaster if you're doing base ROTJ armor. This is actually what is captured in the current EIB standards. What do you guys think? Or should we allow any EIB version blaster version as the details aren't really captured in the screen caps, and what one can see doesn't match anything from the movies, most especially the barrel, and w/o solid references we shouldn't strive to be that anal the first go-round.
  15. Expert Infantry is not a medal at all, it's a badge. See : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expert_Infantryman_Badge
  16. There was also a list on the UKG site as well. In fact, it was the UKG recommendation that got adopted by the Legion.
  17. GUYS - this thread is out-dated. Please read the current docs at: CRL :------------
  18. For the blaster build you did - it opened up a lot of people's minds to what could be achieved and set a new bar in what was possible.
  19. Still, even if you only ever make one for yourself it would be a great project. Can't wait to see how it turns out
  20. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oak_leaf_cluster For instance I'd put one on my Army Achievement Medal when I got a second one. Alternatively there are service stars http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Service_star For instance, my Dad had two (or three, I can't recall exactly) service stars on his southwest pacific ribbon from WWII, as he was in several engagements in that campaign.
  21. Actually it's neat to have a non blue/white scheme. Next step - oak leaves for multiple awards
  22. We're not complaining. It's like a hot woman at the beach - no apologies necessary.
  23. Check out our board stats - over 100,000 posts. How amazing is that?
  24. A very nice kit Keep us posted on the progress - everyone loves build threads
