  1. As it's 501st merch, it was moved to the 501st only section.
  2. PM replied!
  3. What do you need it for? I ask in that per Skaught we have to keep a leash on them.
  4. Different it may be, but it's a fine blaster. ROTJ troopers will get more popular this year - stand pround man
  5. To each their own, but I must agree. 5 years ago I wouldn't have noticed and even now the armor doesn't bother me, but boy that helmet just stands out so much I can't see past it
  6. Nice, solid. Head down to the hanger bay and get ready to board the Tantive

    vt armor

This is really up to you Allan. VT is an unapproved recaster and while the quality has improved it hasn't always been the case. I guess the question is why support VT when there are vetted/approved sellers already? As you know very well, pretty much any armor can be made 501st acceptable, even out of the box FX if you tweak some things. It's kinda like wearing PT armor - you can still join / be a member but one would ask why support them.
  8. Down to 8 with only a few days left to the year. Who'll be next on the march to beating MEPD?
  9. Absolute crap. Send it my way then, and I'll see it gets disposed of. j/k - simply awesome!
  10. Very happy birthday to you mate! Tray has been the driving force on our FISD trading cards as well as being a key member of the Imperial Propaganda Machine. And on top of that, he's a first class trooper through and through. Raise your glass folks to a fine member of FISD!
  11. Because just like the CRL or even MEPD, the EI is not trying to capture every variation of the costume, but is trying to capture what is the common representation.
  12. RT =
  13. And with that, I believe all staff are now EI - an FISD first! Well done A.C. and a great X-mas present
  14. I think doing an equipment check *before* you leave the house is always a good idea. Having a standard repair kit is also an excellent idea that's saved me time and again.
  15. Roger that! You make the stealth trooper look gooooood. Love the scuffs too
  16. Neither is perfect. RT for instance the left ab buttons are a little high. Then, AM's chest is still the least accurate in appearance. Some use an AM kit with an RT chest/back.
  17. Great to see another RT EI in the works
  18. I'd also suggest RT as he's excellent for guys with big builds.
  19. Wicked! Mason - you single handedly are making EU TK's cool on these boards
  20. Absolutely! Time for joy :)
  21. Let's clear the air folks and get the record straight: 1. All TE derived armor is *not* the same. To say that TE, TE2, ATA, CAP, PT, AP, T/MC, etc. are the same is incorrect at best and misleading at worst. Every maker has something different in terms of parts, accuracy, quality of bucks, etc. Every time one of them revises a mold or creates a part from scratch further indivudualizes their work. I have held AP, ATA, CAP, and TE2 in my hands and they are *not* the same as some people make you believe. So lets stop saying otherwise. 2. The 501st does not condone recasting. Period, end of line. If anyone thinks FISD or the Legion will sit by and let there be an open season, you can think again. 3. Transparancy is a core value of FISD - and you can read it baked in to our charter. Anyone who wants to sell on these boards has to show clearly their lineage and have it vetted, else they're not welcome here. That is not up for discussion - it's been a fact since we started. 4. If anyone has recasting accusations to bring against someone, then bring it. But if you bring an accusation, you better bring your proof too. In the end, if the person being recast doesn't care then we don't care. We're not the recasting secret police to run around persecuting recasters, but if a complaint is brought forward it will be dealt with swiftly and with the same transparancy that we've dealt with all other issues in the past. But I will warn this - saying "it's all the same" is wrong and untruthful, and that kind of FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) will not be tolerated.
  22. Alas while Mr. FX(AM) corrected the dome on the FX to look good, the faceplate was unaltered. Had he fixed that at the same time, it would be a fantastic EI approvable helmet for larger troopers.
  23. Doen't feel bad Joey. It wasn't that long ago that TE really was the pinnacle of trooper armor and the simply the most accurate you can get. I'd argue that the TE2 helmet is still that way today. Heck, my first kit was eBay FX from costumejunkie. Ah, how things have changed. It's also a good reminder to never get too bent out of shape. What is the cutting edge today will be 501st base standards 5 years from now.
  24. Several people did. I mean it's been in the closet for some time, so this is a bit of a coming out notice, isn't it? Best wishes Mike - 2011 will certainly be a good year.
