  1. Thanks for the update, Kelvin. Seems like 3D-printed blasters are by far the best option when it comes down to a low weight. Many thanks and have a lot of fun with this blaster.
  2. Hi Brian, great to see you are running a new build thread again. It was about time. This kit will be a challenging one, I guess. Looking forward to your next update and cannot wait to see, what you turn this into... Following.
  3. That is a very well built and painted blaster. How much does it weigh? Is the inner bolt movable? Looks like it could be...
  4. Not wanting to cause any panic now, but there is something wrong with the photos in the upper and lower right corner. That 'keyhole' slot at the flash guard is actually supposed to be on the bottom of the receiver tube (for the locking mechanism of the folding stock). Not sure if that is a mistake in the print-file or by joining two parts the wrong way. I am very sorry for being so late with this comment and hope this is something you might still be able to fix. Maybe by adding a piece of plastic?!
  5. Good job done so far, Colin. You seem to have the right skills for this. And a nice, clean presentation style. Following with great interest...
  6. Don't worry about that, Marc - and welcome to FISD. Ask any question you have. Many of us have been where you are now. Once completely suited up, you can request pre-approval here before officially submitting for basic approval in the German Garrison. Good luck and best regards from NRW
  7. The video clips in the FISD E-11 Blaster Reference Gallery might help you with that.
  8. Curious to see this coming along...
  9. Welcome to the FISD, Nick. Wow! I guess some folks here are now jealous of you. Congrats on your armor (and partner). I can't believe how lucky you are. You might soon get an idea here, of what that means. Seems she really loves you. You can get a pre-approval check of your armor here, before actually going for basic approval with the UK Garrison. Once that is done, you can optionally upgrade to level 2 here and level 3 here. Feel free to ask any questions you have.
  10. Are you serious? I expected nothing less from you. Congrats on basic approval - again...
  11. Job well done, Bryan. Looks like the STL files are pretty accurate. On the telescope you can use some white crayon to fill the letters, then polish with a cloth.
  12. Wow, thumbs up for this beautiful looking blaster. You have done a lot of work, went the extra mile and I think it totally paid off. The different shades of black, the subtile weathering and of course the electronics do turn this E-11 into a very special blaster. I wish you a lot of fun when trooping with it. And take good care of it.
  13. All we can do is to leave our email addresses to get notifications, when the item is in stock again. Did that half a year ago with no news so far...
  14. Hats off for that and a big welcome to the FISD community.
  15. Great reference. Many thanks Glen.
  16. Hello Joey and welcome to the FISD. When it comes to painting, you can use flat black spray paint for the main parts and gloss black only for the handle. This thread might also be of help.If you run into questions or problems, just ask.
  17. Hi Briannah and welcome to FISD.
  18. Hello and welcome to the FISD. This blaster seems good to me and the paintjob looks well done. The only thing I am not sure of, is the reset button of the counter box. I think it needs to be on the lower end, not the top end. (see here)
  19. Hey Andreas, great to see your journey reaching this epic milestone. Even under these special circumstances, you managed to get everything done in time - including the issue with the helmet paint. Times will get better again and I am sure we can meet in person some day at a 501st event.
  20. Welcome to the ranks, Martyn. Great story and well written.
  21. Sorry for being late to the party. Great job done on the folding stock and the power cylinders. Following...
  22. Great work, Scott. With this blaster you will be a star on every trooping event. Have a lot of fun with that masterpiece and take good care.
  23. Yeah! Getting closer to the finish line.
