  1. Drop the Back plate by lengthening the shoulder bridges. It will solve both problems of the gap between your backplate and the kydney plate, and the misalignment between the top of the ab and kydney plate on the sides. And btw if you do that your armor will be EIB ready. Edit: i didn't see that your sniper knee plate is fastened with rivets... It would need to be fixed for EIB
  2. Your shims seem good, good job. About the drop boxes strapping it would have been better to use elastic instead of webbing, but that's fine . And as i understand it (4 rivets belt, bubble lenses) , you're going for a Hero Stormtrooper? But both your helmets are Stunt ones as they have 8 teeth and not 6 like the Hero helmets. Hero on the picture's left and Stunt and the right:
  3. Yep i just saw it's not an original mag, but an already cut one and mis-reassembled.
  4. +1 Steffen beat me on that, all Centurion should really have that strap! One of the most important IMO. Your back plate overlap a bit too much your kidney plate too, especially on your right side. Perhaps you could try to shorten a bit your shoulder strap on this side to bring the back plate up. I have AP too and we're almost the same size but my backplate doesn't overlap my kydney plate like that. Also i don't think it would impact your Centurion application, but your back cover strips are a bit long, they should end before the bottom ridge: Still it's very pleasant to see an AP, especially a very well assembled one like that Good luck!
  5. It's strange because on this pic the "Off" is not upside down Anyhow, you're doing great! I'm impressed by your Power Cylinders, you really enhanced them to the top
  6. Hammered black looks very nice And nice work on the inner bolt, seems really good
  7. Why the scout-troopers aren't doing the Vader?!? They're so tall !! Congrats on your first troop
  8. I've always loved that "3 TM & a Mercedes" picture !! Good luck for your approval
  9. Yeah, but watch out with that, the rainbow flag is the symbol of the gay community, so mind it before wearing it
  10. I think i wouldn't bother too much about the strap... I mean, the strapping method used isn't accurate so why bother with something like correct strap width. The drop boxes are aligned with the end of the belt, just under the ammo ABS belt; it's better than many! I would just change those plastic covers for full inner drop boxes. The rest looks good so keep it up like that
  11. Welcome among us trooper
  12. That's a nice letter you wrote there. Welcome back to the normal world Eric! First rumor i can now share with you that you might not have been inform of: i heard they're shooting a new SW film!
  13. Just for your to know, i'm pretty sure those gaps won't prevent you from getting EIB ! They just might be an issue only for Centurion (even though it's more an EIB point to me). Other than that you're clearly ready to go for EIB!
  14. Exactly. If you look for accuracy then it's better to have a wrist gap than an elbow gap.
  15. Elbow gaps are still too large (but i'm kind of obsessed by these ): Hooks aren't compulsory. I think there was less troopers with on the film than without.
  16. There's a HOWTO for posting pics here on the FISD: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/5-howto-post-images-on-the-forums/
  17. So far it's a perfect combinaison of all the enhancements you can bring on a Doopy kit! I have the strong feeling this one is going to be a masterpiece
  18. There's something i often ask myself of: what if someone buys a RS kit, and then uses the parts as references to make his own molds from clay? Would it be considered as "recast" or as "fan sculpt" ? I mean, as the RS kit is based on an original set, taking it as reference would be the same thing than taking reference pics from the films, LFL, etc... And in the end the goal of a fan sculpt is to be the closest possible from the original armors and so to the RS kit.
  19. Astounding comparison pics! Though it's strange because so far i don't think i've seen a very good NE build whereas it's a recast of a great kit...
  20. RS really looks amazing! About the foam, there's no particular type recommended, just use what you can find. The thighs and shins look pretty fitted to me. The only pieces which look too wide are the biceps IMO. And i think you still need to touch up your ab buttons. ------------
  21. I'd be amazed if you manage to have these two parts to fasten together!! Good luck!
  22. I love the linebacker look ^^! Broad shouldered like never About the glue-thumbprint, i'm sure a bit of fine sandpaper and novus polish would deal with it pretty easily.
  23. Yes, using webbing is as efficient but also easier as it will adapt to the armor shape, whereas with ABS you have to heatshape the snap plate if you want to glue it on a curved or not perfectly flat area.
