  1. Very nice action pic! You should be approved easily However, if you're aiming for EIB and Centurion, i have few critiques: - Your elbow gaps look too wide. You could easily reduce them by adding a strap between the biceps and the forearms and by lowering a bit your biceps from under your shoulder bells (biceps don't have to be under the shoulder bells). - About the sizing of the limbs: both your biceps and right forearm look kind of wide and could benefit from a bit of re-trimming IMO. - Belt: I think the belt's left snap should be moved-up (or set a new one) on your abdominal plate to even the belt lining. -Butt plate: Is there any strapping on the crotch tab? because if not i encourage you to add one, this is a very important snap. - Helmet: Sorry to say but your tube stripes on your helmet are reversed. The up of the last stripes (near the front) should slightly lean forward like on the pic below:
  2. Oh and i forgot that you asked for what we were listening during our build, and i remember that back when i was building mine, i was listening a lot the last Daft Punk's record: Random Access Memories. I had great time mixing these two thing together
  3. Amazing progress! You'll look fantastic once all strapped together
  4. This is the strap Adam is talking about: -------------- And i can't recommand you enought to do the same! Essential strap IMO
  5. Super!! Congratulation! I'm really glad to hear that this project has finally come to its end and a new trooper has joined
  6. I agree with that. So i would likely trim most off of the kidney plate too. About the notch it is indeed covered by the holster/belt sometimes, but i read above you bought an iron-sealing so you could always recreate this notch with it. Like that:
  7. It doesn't matter even for EIB or CENT . I personnaly prefer to choose the belt shade along with the ABS shade of the armor. AP has a very white ABS so i prefer having a white canvas belt, but with a yellowish ABS i prefer the off-white belt.
  8. IMO, i really think these terms should disappear. In the film you see Heros with "Standard" version, Stunts with "Alternative" version... so these appellations are not really relevant. In addition to be misleading for some people (if someone with a stunt prefers the "alternative" style he should know that he can use them )
  9. That's how i call them too now.
  10. I've seen people doing the same and the outcome was great: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/17863-tk-0393-ap-buildap/ So yes, if you need them to be that wide then go for it.
  11. Yes, don't worry this is all normal! Same thing on my bro's helmet (just don't mind the cat ):
  12. Damn, i can't believe you've just changed your username to "AsBlondeAsLuke" !!! So funny !
  13. The kidney plate (top and bottom), the top of the ab plate, the bottom of the chest plate, the top of the butt plate, the bottom of the back plate should definitely have returns. But you can trim these a little if you need to gain some flexibility, especially with the kidney plate to help preventing the sides to pop out. Preserve the return edges at the top of the thighs and the top of the forearms outer halves. You do not want any return edge on the inner top of the forearms (it avoid pinches), same thing for the bottom of the biceps, keep them at minimal, and also don't leave too much at the shoulder bells bottom for the biceps to fit in. Don't be afraid to remove the returns at the bottom of the shins too, to avoid messing with the boots. The rest is really all yours to decide
  14. First thing i noticed too ! I love this breed of cat You seem to have pretty good skill in painting, why didn't you paint the whole helmet? i'm sure you would be fine Also don't forget to paint in white the ears' screws About the holster, you don't have to buy a new one, just slice the loops so they become single straps and look like ANH.
  15. Yep, should be easy, but you lack some pictures for the DO: - ammo knee belt rivets - sniper knee plate glued - Full inner drop boxes - Blaster shots - Helmet s-trim - Shoulder bridges little white elastics
  16. Finally!! Good luck with your approval, even though it should be easy I would only try to close more of your shoulder bells in the front, and maybe try to hide the junctions between your shims and your kydney plate with some ABS paste.
  17. All the low belts you can see on screenshots are unsnapped belts, as this one: And i wouldn't be surprised if the right side would be unsnapped too.
  18. If you can, i would try to round the edge you have left inside the notch for a better correspondance with the folding stock main branch:
  19. As blonde as Luke It looks good to me right now, but i guess you can take off a bit more if you feel like you need it, and also before being at the Luke's trim line (i think his is trimmed a bit more). Unless if you're planning to make a new return edge for the bottom of the chest plate, then i would keep it like that. And if it chokes you too much you can also trim a bit more of the neck opening
  20. I'm not an expert regarding shims, but if do them like that the side seams (i guess you plan to use the one between the kydney and the shim) will be far toward your back and so the male snap and the split rivets will be too. Here i would rather hide the seam line between the shim and the kydney plate (with ABS paste, etc), and keep the one between the shim and the ab plate, then the side split should be more centered.
  21. Now tell me (Vern) the belt shouldn't slightly cover the bottom of the abdominal buttons. They even made the effort for Luke's suit whereas he is very short! And beside, CRL doesn't state anything regarding the belt placement on the abdominal plate so it's up to you to spot the accurate position.
  22. Very easy to find with a bit of research here...
  23. The only thing i find bothering for EIB is the asymmetry between your left and right biceps, and you left and right forearms too. i would really take the time to resize them evn if it's kind of a difficult decision to take. Good luck for your appilcation! And very nice helmet off picture BTW
  24. No doubt, that's a beauty!! To be closer from the original i would just try to adjust a bit the position of the right mic tip, to give it the erected look it had
  25. ABS paste is your friend in those cases: ---------- Or you could of course buy a new sniper knee plate from the vendor you bought your armor from.
