  1. Nice job, well done
  2. Going well keep it up
  3. Ahh someone else bitten by the building bug, LOL, T-21 I found to be the easiest of them all and you can get really creative. Good luck with the builds and keep up the good work
  4. Paint dry, mount and bracket fitted, slings attached, T-21 is done
  5. S I am using auto connectors on my wiring in case I want to swap anything later, crimping is ok but to make sure the wire doesn't pop out it is best to solder
  6. Now primed, satin black and satin clear
  7. Looking good there, the eye bump I have read is more prominent on some makes or armor than others, some like the screen accuracy, some don't, think it's a personal thing. If you want to get rid of it, apply a little heat then hold down until it cools. Keep up the good work.
  8. Sling bracket and mount made, just need to sand and paint
  9. I use black chemical gloves with soft cotton gloves inside, seems to stop the sweating and they are washable
  10. Congrats on your start, I remember starting collecting everything I would need for a build, my armor is now in the mail and while on the long wait kept busing with four blaster builds. Just one thing your battery packs are quite large so may be hard to fit in your lid, I used 2 9v rectangle batteries in mine which seems to work fine with my fans (not sure what voltage your fans use) you could wire the fans in sequence so they only draw 4.5v each, glued some velcro in the lid and used this to hold them in place. Good luck on your build journey -----------
  11. Slings came today, very pleased, good quality, now just have to make a sling mount and fit, shouldn't take too long now that my DLT-19 is moslty finished.
  12. Thanks did try to put as much details in as I could, I agree I think a bit of weathering will just top it off Thank you again for the kind words, yes will be sitting back having a few waiting to stalk the mail man (unless he takes too long LOL)
  13. 5 minute epoxy glue is quite strong. I haven't had to glue mine as yet, I left about an inch over what I needed for the helmet and after it was fitted the tension seems to hold the rubber in place. I do take my helmet off sideways but that's mainly of the electronis inside, can catch on my ears.
  14. From what I have read there is no set size or type just try to use something shallow so it's not constantly rubbing on the armor. I was thinking about covering the back of the rivet with duct tape or silicon
  15. That's great everyone, will cut down my searching for the basics just need to focus on the fine details now. I have blaster eyes from all the plans, hunting for correct info has been the hardest part and even now I learn new things evertime I go online. Thanks for all the help guys and girls, no don't it won't be the last time I will be picking your brains, still have a TK box of goodness to start on
  16. A few photo's assembled and some details, will keep looking at it today and decied if I am going to weather it or not before I apply a satin clear coat or two
  17. Should have said, can that company costume be approved. Yup been there too lol Link There may be another blaster to build too LOL Link
  18. Thank you, did try to get as much details done as I could, only real part I wasn't happy with was my hand grips, just stalked internet and found a few original sets, not that expensive either start at $30, didn't even think about looking for real ones when I started the build, well you know what they say, you live and learn Grips Grips OMG or you could buy this GUN
  19. Thanks Julie but can they be 501st approved?
  20. Yup I had found that was wondering if I could get the right go to info rather than having to search all the fine details from those who have been down this track before, I know lazy but my blaster builds pretty much wore my brain out
  21. Have a read of this thread http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/5642-modded-rubies-supream-tk-armor/
  22. AS my brown box of TK goodness is on the way and I'm just finishing a fourth blaster build I was thinking of a next build as I have found myself bitten by the bug, as many of you have also, anyway looking at a non helmet costume and thinking of an imperial officer, can any of you throw some info my way, wink wink you know what I mean lol
  23. The black is on, looks so nice, now I have to decide if I am going to weather it or leave it crisp. Had decided earlier to weather it but it's sooooo nice all black
