  1. Just making the grooved plate and screw head on the rear of the butt Heated the back of a knife on the stove and used this to melt the grooves, took two heatings, also found it made the piece curve upwards, just about the right contour as the butt

  6. Not that I have my armor yet but I did think of this problem, I purchased a travel document bag, has a large pouch and strap to hang around your neck, thought I could wear it under my chest plate
  7. I cut the head off a small bolt, drilled a hole in the back of the switch and in to the body, threaded the bolt into the switch then glued the other end into body, the thread in the switch allows you to move the switch into either position.

  20. A few of the finer details on the grip cover plates Selector switch and mount screws
  21. Thank you, I don't know who posted them as there is no names on the plans. I have found a couple of bits that need updating and when I have finished my build I could pass them on to you if you would like. Thanks for making the plans origanlly
  22. First grab a piece of pvc pipe (thick walled), cut it to the right length of the parts you need and then cut a slot down one side Next heat the pipe for a few minutes, you know when it is heated enough as you can see the pipe distort. Open out, don't use fingers to do this as it is hot Then flatten between two pieces of wood and hold down until it's cooled The you have your flat plastic, draw your piece to shape, mine is for side grip cover plates for my DLT-19 Here they are Hope this is a help to some of you
  23. Time to make the side grip plates, finding sheets of plastic is a bit hard so I came up with a trick to make some. First grab a piece of pvc pipe, cut it to the right length and then cut a slot down one side Next heat the pipe for a few minutes, you know when it is heated enough as you can see the pipe distort. Open out, don't use fingers to do this as it is hot Then flatten between two pieces of wood and hold down until it's cooled The you have your flat plastic, draw your piece to shape There you go, side cover grips cut, just have to make the grooves, going to try heating a small strip of metal ten pushing into the plastic to leav an impression. If this doesn't work I will just cut slots with the dremmel
