  1. All I know for sure is that if you use the darker blue and go for expert or centurion levels then you will get asked to change it (from the threads I have read)
  2. Thanks Clinton, helps looking at all your guys threads, hey nice signature lol
  3. You may have to go build a blaster then LOL
  4. Well done, looking good trooper
  5. Inner and outer stips glued on. I had read a few posts about right forearms looking quite big at the elbow, found mine was the same, didn't want to trim anymore off and loose those ridges so I decided as the piece was quite oval I would apply a bit of heat and just squash it a little to bring it back to round. Fits a lot better now and has lost that big look on the elbow.
  6. Slowing down now, start of summer and it's raining 23degc and I have a cold, damm you global warming lol Does that meen I'm doing something right??? or wrong lol
  7. Cool, I may have to put some info together later for newbies, just to make it a little easier for them, FISD is a great resource but sometimes info is hard to search for. I can't believe how much info I have downloaded and still I need to ask questions, don't think I will ever stop learning
  8. What no clamps LOL. Very cool but gee your ugly ha ha ha
  9. Thank you everyone, keep thinking of random armor questions while trimming and glueing, must be the fumes. Still remember the quote measure twice cut once, (especially with expensive armor lol)
  10. A few strips glued on
  11. Just wanted to check a few measurements: 1. When you align the drop boxes are they, (1) aligned to the very end of the belt or (2) aligned to the tapered corner before the end of the belt, I have seen both examples used and just want to be correct. 2. Split rivet location from the edge on the sides of the torso, roughly from what I have seen looks like about 10-15mm 3. What gap should there be between the end of belt and the holster, or is it a just place where comfortable 4. Shoulder straps I have found two measurements for attaching, (1) 5 ridges or (2) 4 and 1/2 ridges (not including the first large ridge) Think that is it for the moment, I am sure there will be more questions soon
  12. Very cool, I remember the excitement opening my first box, now I am on to the second box and there was even more excitement. Good luck with our build, will be watching
  13. Was going to see if I could borrow a mates bench saw but tried the score and snap method and it seems to be working well
  14. I did read a thread a while ago which couldn't definately say that Humbrol was used but as it was a UK based company it was assumed that it would have been the preffered choice.
  15. Thanks Reza, having a blast, btw love your ID
  16. Click on your profile, go to settings, then click on signature, edit signature, then type what you want, left click and drag over the text to highlight it, go to the link tab in the tools, then put in the address of the page you want the link to go to, I go to the page then just copy and paste the link into the URL then save changes. Hope that helps
  17. Congrats, well done, all that extra work was well worth it
  18. LOL how time flies I have done a bit more trimming since that pic, was following this thread Thanks Charles, may have another helmet build and a few armor mods to do before more blasters LOL. I have had a couple of local troopers enquire about blasters so I may be making some more in the near future
  19. Moving a little slower now, got the arm pieces trimmed and ready for glue, be on to that shortly
  20. No they are just placed there to check the spacing. Thanks everyone for the support, any guidence or comments would be more than appreciated
  21. A few more bits done.
  22. Thanks everyone for the support, had a night of re-reading all the threads I have downloaded to get my head around the trimming, taken the first step, started small and working my way up
