  1. I would file a little more in the corners of the teeth, makes them stand out more defined. Nice work on the TD
  2. I was having a hard time finding any latex of rubber coating paints, I thought I would give this a try, it is a screen painting paint. Only needed to put on three thin coats and then you can heat lock the paint in a low temp oven 110 to 130 deg cent for 5-8 min. Seems to be quite strong and flexible I have trooped 6 times with them and no cracking as yet. Here's a pic of the paint Karin's hand guards Here they are painted and heat fixed in the oven.
  3. I have used body filler (bondo) on plastic and it does stick as long as the surface is roughed up with course sand paper. Depending on where the gaps are you may be able to use some white silicon, that gives a little flex. Some pictures of you're problem would help us better advise you
  4. If that is the case you're gloves and hand guards will unfortunately not do
  5. I would recommend the fans before voice, fans really help on those really hot troops, makes all the difference from being comfortable or ending up with bucket full of sweat
  6. It really depends on you're armor, the curve of it, the use of shims or not and what you're build is. Roughly mine are 15deg but I had used a little heat to curve the ends a little more.
  7. Congrats and well done trooper, welcome to the ranks
  8. Congrats and well done, now get to work on a comlink and grapping hook to top off your build
  9. Very nice indeed
  10. Just post them in the reply to this topic box . Standing by for updates, good luck with the build
  11. Looking good there, you're flying along
  12. Congrats on approval, nice to see you still wiling to improve, keep up the great work
  13. I have only found two ways that work, a sharp knife but time consuming or a soldering iron which melts the glue again then just scrape the melted glue away with some scrap abs.
  14. Thanks Chris I did receive an FISD achievement award only last month LOL, came as I shock, as far as I am concerned I am only giving back the I received when I first started. Everything is looking good ATA do have a large right forearm, I used some heat on mine to change the shape from round to oval, it made a nicer tighter fit, see how you go when you are all kitted up. Only other advice is to try round the corners on you're cover strips, will just stop them from catching on anything. Keep up the good work, you are going great
  15. Awesome photo's well done, good luck with the build
  16. Nice work, they came out well.
  17. I use some yellow foam pieces for areas that I need some padding, I have glued Velcro to both sides so I can remove them for washing, sometimes you can get pretty sweaty trooping
  18. Looking good so far, keep up the good work
  19. Take a look at Bids tutorial http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/21774-anh-coverstrip-method-for-eibcenturion/?hl=cover+strip+size#entry271114
