  1. Thanks Michael, will give me time to iron out all the bugs. I can see I am going to be walking around my place kitted up alot before then LOL Ab plates glued on
  2. Great info, it's amazing after all the years FISD has been around that this info is only just coming to light. Well done Vern and congrats on you're 4000th post
  3. Last strips on the thighs glued, also adjusted and glued the batter packs
  4. Found it was easier to get the right coverage on the teeth just with a brush as the hight and taper of the teeth varies. Keep up with the good work
  5. The belt is so much better, good work. I used the same foam in my lid, very screen accurate
  6. Thanks Tony, nice to know I am on the right track
  7. Got some elatic fitted on my arm pieces, having a friend come over on sunday to do a few photos for me as I don't have a large mirror Drop boxes attached and proceeding to dry
  8. Not really, I would still ask the maker of both the blaster and helmet, better be safe than sorry
  9. Depends on how accurate you want to be, for me I would say go with it and well done trooper. Good luck with approval
  10. A few more snaps and studs in place, going for double snaps on the shoulders and crotch for extra strength
  11. Damm I just had 2 inches taken out of my legs LMAO
  12. Thinking what ever I use the space for, keys, money to buy icecream for my first troop, or toothbrush to clean death star latrine, I would rap in a little foam first
  13. Seems a bit expensive to me, I would want to know the makers of both before proceeding
  14. Velcro glued on one side of the claves, other side tomorrow
  15. I still have alot to learn, elastic never thought of checking that
  16. Looks good but you know those who love screen accuracy will pick on it for not having that extra material on the sides of you're ab plate. If you're happy then go with it, keep up the good work
  17. Mi I have seen it on other makes, I did find on my right arm that it was quite oval compared to the left which was rounded, so all I did to bring it back into round was apply some heat to both sides, didn't take a lot, and while applying the heat I put pressure on the widest part of the oval and pushed gentlye until they returned to a round shape. I know others take off their strips, re-cut and re-glue, but I found the heat and squash worked wonders for mine. Good luck what ever you decide, as I said I have only seen it picked on a couple of times but for me mine just didn't feel right.
  18. Look pretty good from what I have seen, main issues with boots seems to be a front seam and zips and you don't have either, I'd say your good to go, now get painting LOL
  19. Slow and steady wins the race, just remember every little bit counts, good luck with the build hope you get to the end soon
  20. Going to make the caps on the detonator able to be taken off, just glued some abs elbows onto the inside of the caps. Going to have elastic glued on one end with some velcro stiched to the end of it, then velcro glued to the other elbow on the cap. Will just need to pull off one cap, remove the velcro then the ends will come off.
