  1. Thanks guys, sometimes I amaze myself $55 AUS for binders and pouch but not thinking about selling overseas as yet, there is someone on the 501st producing them . Rare earth magnets, tried two sizes and it is amazing how strong even just the 5 x 3mm are.
  2. Looking good, yer just a bit more on the teeth corners a little squarer. Looking forward to the rest of your build good luck
  3. NO LONGER AVAILABLE Had a great response at my first troop to my binders and was asked if I would makes some for others, so thought I should live up to my squad nickname of Q and start producing. Also had an enquiry about the pouch to hold them so I best make some of them also. Here's a few photo's of how things are progressing, up to 9 orders at my local garrison lol. My original pair And in the pouch Start of pouch production First 6 sets before sanding A couple of request for chain instead of solid mount and also ANH Chewie binders, working on those. Trying a couple of different chains. First run in primer Base coat applied on first run of binders, copper coated ANH style binders done. Will need another coat then I will apply a couple of coats of clear to protect the base colour.
  4. Well done Sam glad you enjoyed yourself, the first troop will allways stay in your memory
  5. Very cool well done, now back to work and stop horsing around.
  6. Getting off to a good start, can't wait for the rest of your build, good luck
  7. I have snaps, hammer, elastic, super glue, 5 min epoxy, heat glue and gun, and if all else fails I have white duct tape, have not needed any of it as yet
  8. Congrats Sam and welcome to the the ranks, now you can come to the dark side LOL
  9. Looking good, I am quite slim and I am getting inspired, I do have a freind who wants me to join the rebel legion, how cool would a C3PO be . vac metallizing would be my choice if you are going to all this trouble it would be worth while in the end
  10. Lucky I was only crossing my fingers and not holding my breath lol, Congrats Sam well done, now fix that belt and onto next application
  11. There are a few different ways to attach the snaps here you can glue the nylon directly to the ABS. You should use elastic between your arms and thighs as it will alllow a little movement
  12. Just check what elastic you are using, there are two types, as I found out lol, one does not allow very much side stretching the other is not as tight and easily stretched. You may also find that your bell elastic is just too tight, also check your arm elastic it may be too short and pulling the bells down too much. .
  13. There where so many versions in the movie, different scopes, placed differently, with or without power cylinders, listen to Vern he is a blaster guru
  14. You will drop your money on something you think will be ok and regret later, save you money, save up a liitle more then buy an awesome armor and never look back
  15. Very nice documentaion, this will be handy for future newbies, well done
  16. Looking good, it's great that the will send out the lid while you wait for the armor, gives you something to go on with
  17. Hello and welcome aboard, the info you need is in here
  18. Just wondering what you will use for the top coat, will it be shinny as on screen. I have seen on some autormotive shows that they use a liquid chrome finish on some paint jobs, they apply several different coats and the last one it basically a wet wash. I suppose if you used something like this and went over with a few coats of a tinted yellow/gold clear paint and this would give you the gold effect.
