  1. I use E6000 and glue Velcro to both sides, foam and armor, find it is nice to be able to take them out and wash from time to time, can also adjust for comfort
  2. I use a loop of elastic from the top of the boots, runs up inside the shin and attaches at the top with snaps
  3. DSS TROOP REPORT EVENT: Telethon Kids Carnival Day 1 LOCATION: PCEC 21 Mounts Bay Rd, Perth WA 6000 DATE: 15th October TIME: 9.30 am to 5pm LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Indoors TROOPERS: TK85421 - Q, TB13310 - Liz, CC79969 - Daniel, TI22414 - Sinead, SL51164 - Stuart, TI10996 - Jo, TK5841 - Wilson, TR40515 - Mel , SL98593 - Garry WRANGLER: Corinne, Michael, Stuart, Liz REPORT: Troops started arriving from 8am, invigartated and ready for a full weekend of younglings attention. This year we were allocated a space and the organiser was very excited to have the Chiverton's speeder bike on display, thank you again Michael and Corrine for coming in Friday afternoon to set up the display. The news of younglings in cues waiting for the doors to open prompted troops to kit up early and make an early appearance, we walked the lines until the doors opened. Troops manned several positions, in the foyer, around the carnival and next to the speeder bike which had steady line for photos all day. It didn't take long for a resident Churro Chaser Chivo to strike. The Imperial Basketball team hit the Wildcat net at 12.30, the pressure on our Biker Liz the previous years winner was too much and she couldn't retain here crown, at least Daniel showed the other mascots how it was done sinking 2 baskets, with Sinead closly behind, well done. We posed for photos with a few of the maskots during the day, Vader and Guard with the Bendigo Pig and I with Fat Cat. An interesting time in the foyer in the afternoon just next to the wine and food festival, occasionally getting a whiff of alcohol stuck in my helmet. I was accosted several times by some very giggly young ladies (and I use that term loosely ), I didn't know hands could get in to that many places of the armor. Most of the troopers had kitted down and departed by @3pm and Stuart seeing me trooping solo decided to kit up and see out the rest of the afternoon along my side. M'Lord was presented a special card made by one of the younlings, to which we all continually heard about, on and on and on . Lots of people fell for the double team mannequin display, with screams and laugher heard up and down the foyer, he was also blown a few kisses from a young lady, luckily this happened just before Em had arrived . We called it a day with only a few minutes until the doors closing. A celebrationary drink was in order with the last few remaining troops at the Metro Bar. A great first day, thank you all who attended and a special thanks once again to Michael and Corinne. Looking forward to Day 2 INJURIES: more than the usual few aches and pains CASUALTIES: none ARMOR REPAIRS: A small piece of speeder bike motor needs attaching, magnets this time as it just a piece that seems to get a lot of abuse. 10. *POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD* New LEGO Rogue One Short Film and The Case of the Orange Crates in the Movie! Star Wars merchandising season is in full swing, and LEGO joins in on the fun as the December release date of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is quickly approaching! Hit the jump to watch Part 1 of a Lego short trilogy surrounding a mysterious orange crate that may play a vital role in the upcoming film. From LEGOā€˜s youtube page: I doubt there is anyone who thinks that a short LEGO film will reveal anything significant about the plot of Rogue One. Still, the case of these orange crates is rather interesting. Actually, the orange crates have been present in almost every video weā€™ve seen about Rogue One. First, we saw them via some leaked images shared by TMZ: Then, we saw a bunch of them in the BTS footage shown at Celebration Europe. First on Jedha: Then on Eadu: And finally on Scarif: We also saw these crates in the Go Rogue fan film: And of course in the current video: All this suggests one thingā€¦. these crates probably donā€™t have any significant purpose in the movie. They are probably just typical storage crates for equipment, weapons, ammunition, etc. Also, keep in mind that even though we see a Hovertank with this crate on Scarif in this video, we have only previously seen this vehicle in action on Jedha (as is seen in the trailer and in the LEGO set below). Are these orange crates important? Could there be something hidden in them that will be used in the plot of the actual movie? Story from: SWNN
  11. Nice work, if you can post a report and photos once each event has been completed it may get added to the monthly magazine
  12. E6000 without a doubt, easy to rub off if you have excess and easy to get parts apart if you make a mistake or need to adjust. Downside you have to leave clamped for 24 hours to dry completely
  13. Can never be said enough times DON'T BUY FROM EBAY

  16. I have had success with silicon, bondo and abs paste, all have their pros and cons, just depends how handy you are. For any of them you will need to put something behind, either tape or glue a scrap piece of abs before trying to fill the hole/s. With bondo or abs paste you will have the ability to sand, bondo dries a lot quicker but abs would be stronger
  17. Don't think you will find an out of the box complete baton, I have one of Peters kits (yet to be assembled) which is very detailed. I also made a pvc baton prior to anyone supplying them, it's pretty basic but the public doesn't see it so http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34154-tfa-stormtrooper-baton-build-not-accurate/
  18. I've seen a few people using a sharpie. You could also paint the whole section black then fill in the grey, it's a little easier than doing the thin line of black afterwards
  19. Desert Scorpion Squad Troop Report Event: Natalie & Daniel tie the knot, 3rd September 2016 Location: Yanchep National Park, Western Australia Troopers: BennyTK TK10469 Juice TK3406 Darth Reign TK77620 gmrhodes13 TK85421 Royal Rebel DZ11880 DV64 Stuart SL51164 REPORT : The 4 stormtroopers made their way to the National Park in the one car making jokes all the way, we got to the venue and were shown to our hotel room where we were getting changed, Trish arrived 5min before we did , Stuart showed up 10 min later, we went and had a look around where the wedding was going to take place and spoke to the Bride about what she had planned for us... We went back to the room and got kitted up ready for action, the bride made her way to the awaiting pimped out golf buggy and off we set, the 4 Stormtroopers walked next to the buggy while Vader followed , Trish and R4 were already there entertaining the guest , as we got to where the ceremony was happening, each Bridesmaids was escorted down the isle by a Stormtrooper , while the bride walked hand in hand down the isle with Lord Vader, the troopers stood guard as the ceremony started. When it was time for the rings R4E1 rolled over , opened his little storage compartment and the best man took the rings out of him. Do you ? Do you? you may kiss the Bride Blah Blah Blah.... As it turned out one of the Bridesmaids was ill that day and could not make it, so Trish took her place as a Jawa Bridesmaid Smile Afterwards we posed for some pictures with the happy couple and the rest of the guests. Soon it was time to head back to the room and get changed. we then went for a bite to eat and a cold one. The Bride had a bar tab, which we kindly added a round of drinks to Smile Cheers Natalie . It was then time to get back in the Territory and drive home, making more jokes about Aarons height, and Mad Max ( you had to be there ). Aaron was riding shotgun, he is a little short for a Stormtrooper, joke of the day was from Glen, we were following a car with a small child in the back who was looking at us and Glen said the small child said to her parents " how come that kid in the car behind is allowed to sit in the front... " plenty of LOLs on that one... REPORT BY: Ben http://i1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh552/glenmurry/Approvals/IMG_3555.jpg
