  1. I like most of these but the there are a couple that concern me, one is the ear angle, many struggle with assembly of ears on helmets so this may not be achievable for some. I wonder what happens if you can't get this angle this from a certain make of helmet as it's just not obtainable due to how the helmets are moulded, would you have to buy a replacement from another maker? Would it be feasible to research the majority of helmet makes to see how many could achieve this? Or could just change the wording to 1. Ideally ears shall be tilted back at an angle to where the screws align closely with the rear angle of the trap located above the rear of the brow. Secondly the shoulder bell gap, some makes have smaller shoulder bells than others, having little to no gap just isn't obtainable but most troopers seen on screen have no gap, the wording does still allow a gap but would it be better changed to 5. Minimal (or no) gap is preffered between the top of the shoulder bell and the shoulder bridge. Additionally for L3 I'd like to suggest the fall or angle of the tube stripes be correct as seen below, not sure about the wording for this. As we see in these images the tube stripes fall / angle forward from the top and many point this out in applications.
  2. Looking forward to the BBB photos and unboxing
  3. Nice work Garry should be an easy pass for basic, as Joseph said just a couple of things you will need to fix for the higher levels. Good luck hope to see good news soon.
  4. Ongoing CRL To Be Updated: ROTJ text updates TKC detonator photos to be added also wording changed for thigh ammo strip here ESB no bicep hooks L3, info here
  5. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper. You can request higher access here
  6. Lots of guys have AM armor and you'll find lots of AM build threads you can follow here in the builds section, I've not heard any issues with their quality of late, I don't use FB so can't help you there but you can find contact info in this thread
  7. Nice work, you can find it's those little things and tweaks that can take the most time but are well worth it in the end
  8. Who doesn't love BBB unpacking, awesome good luck with the build, hope it doesn't take a year, oh wait it will have by tomorrow
  9. Hello and welcome aboard, looking forward to the progress, good luck
  10. Direct from Anovos when I purchased my FOTK
  11. There are lots of great build threads for those of a shorter stature, have a look at this one from Cricket https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41502-crickets-wtf-hero-build-even-more-tk-for-the-vertically-challenged/
  12. You can purchase the amp directly from voicebooster but they do cost a little more than ebay and they offer several different amps, I would advise using the 10W 1506, it is loud enough and thinner than the 1505 so sits behind the chest plate nicely
  13. It actually depends on where your snaps are placed on the ab section and belt, if you use the more common measurements that can be found then the loops of elastic will sit over parts of the snaps, the elastic is cut out for this reason, they then help the boxes to stay in alignment with the end of the belt. I have also added a little E6000 at the base of the loops on mine, just to make sure they stay in the correct spot while trooping
  14. Nice work, just to really make you look the part you may want to change your shoulder elastic to a stronger one or try doubling over, you can see your elastic being pulled sideways, almost touching the shoulder bells. I would also suggesting trying to bring your mic tips down, they look to be pointing upwards. This can be achieved by adding some rubber tube, if you cut one side straight and the other on an angle (like a wedge), you can then add to the base of the mic tip and rotate to get them to point a little better. Good luck with approval
  15. For screen accuracy
  16. Nice work, to get your mic tips to both point straight you can use some pieces of rubber tube, cut one side on a slant and when fitted behind the mic tip you can rotate to get the desired angle then tighten.
  17. A lot of guys here use a denim vest (no sleeves) but I prefer to use a bomber jacket, yes it does actually get cold down under For those cooler troops I let my FISD racing shirt do the talking
  18. As many do I use an Aker amp 1506 no issues with 6 years of trooping, can find on eBay @ $30. It Also has an input on the amp for external sounds, many of us locally use electronics in blasters so we run an a jack to the speaker which then runs up the arm to the amp, you can also play the TK background loop through. Some use a wireless amp setup but I've never looked into it.
  19. A nice read
  20. Most of our larger noggin (headed) troopers locally wear AM, it's a very larger bucket.
  21. I would suggest staying away from etsy or eBay, best option is research, having a look through the TFA/TLJ build areas, lots of info there of armor and where they came from or have a read here
  22. We start a little earlier than you guys in the rest of the world so here's to you all, Merry Christmas to you and yours (yes I suppose rebels too) and all the best for 2019. Presents unwrapped, turkey stuffed, vege's in the oven and Yorkshire pudding mix ready to go, must be time for a festive Bloody Mary, must be 12 oclock somewhere in the world CHEERS
  23. Very nice.
