  1. A couple of things about Cardinal when thinking about his armor: "CD-0922 was one of the first of the new stormtroopers of what would later become the First Order" "From the time I first put on this armor, he trusted me to keep him safe. He designed it himself because he said red was a color of power " "Cardinal was presented by Hux with a personalized set of red Stormtrooper armor and given the name Cardinal" So it was personalised armor designed by Hux early on in the rise of the First Order, could this explain where Phasma found a prototype helmet? But what other pieces did she use and what other pieces on Cardinal's armor was different to the standard FOTK's? From the novel Phasma replicated a standard FOTK's set of armor and a prototype helmet but no mention of any other pieces so it really doesn't explain why she is so different to other FOTK's, did she design some pieces herself, did she copy what she had seen on Cardinal's armor?. A lot of this build is going to be an interpretation of what could of been worn until more solid references can be found / produced. Keep up the great work, hopefully more images will come available, there is still more of the Cardinal's story to be told and hopefully it will be.
  2. Looking forward to the progress, good luck with the build
  3. Here is Pandatroopers how too thread on using heat irons, could be of use https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/12972-howto-make-a-return-edge-on-armor-using-a-heat-sealing-iron/ Good luck
  4. Looking good, just make sure you give both sides a scuff with some sandpaper before applying any adhesive, will give it something to grip too.
  5. Hello I couldn't access your photo, you need to use the direct image tag from imgur in your posts. Looking forward to seeing the progress good lcuk
  6. Really depends how big your vac from machine is, how many pieces you can fit in that area at one time, how thick the sheet is, how far it has to pull down, what thickness you require once formed, so many variants.
  7. Great news on the BBB, personally I used screws with nuts, just allows you to adjust if needed, very hard to remove rivets one they are placed there.
  8. This may be of help https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/12972-howto-make-a-return-edge-on-armor-using-a-heat-sealing-iron/
  9. Agreed, so many great images have been lost with the photobucket fiasco, research is the key and looks like you are doing well, keep up the good work.
  10. I have thin arms and had to add foam to the inside of mine to hold them in position and stop rotation. I decided to add Velcro to the foam and the inside of the armor just so I could remove and wash, it is amazing how sweaty you can get after a long day of trooping. Excess E6000 glue with normally come off with a rub of a thumb or a rag.
  11. Nice work, good luck with approval
  12. Great news, nothing better than a BBB. Hopefully you have spent the wait time researching, I'm sure you will do fine. Are you planning on building to EIB or Centurion, not a lot of extra work really and very satisfying receiving approval for those levels of accuracy, have a look through the EIB and Centurion sections to see what is needed. Anyway good luck with the build, looking forward to the progress.
  13. TD on the Executioner as well as the full black end cap has a small area of black on the side
  14. A member in my former garrison actually made plugs to fit inside to get a nice straight edge, a lot of work but came out a treat
  15. With making return edges you can use a small piece of wood on either side of the edge to clamp together while cooling to give you a nice flat finish. Coming along nicely.
  16. I love hearing someone is too busy researching to build, nice work :D. Really depends from armor to armor how the pieces sit and go together, looks like you have done well getting them aligned. Good luck you are going great.
