  1. Congratulations once again, you can request higher access here
  2. Looks pretty close, I'd go with those.
  3. Was exactly the same with the beta kits, shipping pieces separately, although helmet, soft parts and gaskets where first back then, which really was not help as all the work was in the armor
  4. I do have a little foam inside my forearms to stop them rotating but find I don't need any on my thighs as the strapping will hold them quite straight, I do have some return edge underneath the thigh lower ridge as well which helps, you may find a little foam will help a lot.
  5. I have some inside return edge as I have thin legs, does help to fill the gap, as others have suggested you may find you'll have to trim a little once you have been wearing the armor, but it's easier to take off than put on
  6. Nice work, just trim that smaller ab plate and you're done
  7. Looking from the top the flat section looks a little small, pan heads are mostly flat on top with rounded edges
  8. Just note that the TD clips shouldn't have rounded corners but see what the DO's have say
  9. Well I'm not on FB very much these days but I'll definitely post the news around, 7 years trooping in my ATA armor and I'm still has happy as I was day one.
  10. I have seen 4mm to 6mm head screws used in the past. Personally I use 5mm
  11. Unfortunately you see this with a lot of companies, for some reason they just won't come clean and say there's a delay, rather to leave people in the dark. I would have though 4 years on they would have learnt but we encountered the same issues in 2015 and they are still treating customers the same. It's great to see some kits being received and I would hope the majority of orders will be fulfilled soon. I do have a chuckle when I see a preview email from them now, do they really think there is confidence out there to "pre order" after all that's gone on recently
  12. Nice idea with the tube insert.
  13. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks
  14. I stopped using them as they would only last for shorter troops ie up to 3 hours, 4 x AA's will last me a whole 2 day convention with some to spare
  15. Nice work, you'll have to swap out those TD screws they need to be "pan heads" they have a curved edge not square like you have. You could also add a little white to the rim of the hovi tips You will also need to add a few more photos which I know the DO team like to see. Close up front and sides of your sniper plate Close up outside and inside of thigh ammo strip rivets. D ring on blaster Lower ear screws Good luck with approval.
  16. Nice work overall, just a couple of things which may not hold you up with basic but would make you stand out. Tube stripes ideally should be a pencil width on the side of the cheek, also the curve/fall of the tube stripes are greater at the top at the front ie back ///// front. Your belt boxes should sit at the end of the plastic belt section, you could add a dab of E6000 to the straps to hold them there. You have taken quite a lot out of the back of the thighs and shins, they look a little round, but this could be due to the smaller size of the thighs, here is a screen reference: You have trimmed a little much of the large ab plate but should be ok, could take a little more off the smaller ab plate though I'm sure you'll be ok for basic so good luck and hope to see you approved soon.
  17. Smaller ab plate needs the curved sides removing, also ideally the ab plate are not rounded they are square You should also try to bring your shoulder bells in a little closer at the top, there is also some bunching of black material covering, perhaps tuck this under the bells. Thigh ammo strip rivets should also be painted white Thigh cover strip should stop above the lower ridge, yours appears to cover some of the ridge, you could also remove some of the curve out of your sniper plate and make the lines a little straighter. Hero helmets don't have the white edge on the hovi tips, well not until they get worn off Your first image appears to have a stunt helmet not the hero? also the belt is crooked, if you do adjust this it could come up a little as shown in the image above, belt should rest just under the bottom ab button. You will also need to post a few close ups of the sides of your helmet to show 2 ear screws and 3 bump ears Good luck with approval
  18. Smaller ab plate should not have rounded sides, should be cut straight. I would also add a little paint to the teeth area, they are a little short A couple of things that won't hold you up for basic but would be nice for higher levels. Tube stripes should be a pencil width from side of cheek. Vocoder paint could be a little sharper, I would removes some of the excess to define the straight sides and rounded sections. You could also add a little abs plastic behind those gaps in the lower ridges of your thighs Good luck with approval but I'm sure you'll do fine.
  19. Good luck with approval, I'm sure you'll be fine
  20. You will find the abs strips can be bent with addition of some pressure, ie using painters tape. I use clamps magnets and painters tape, all do a job in their own way, the tape will just allow a little more pressure to be given to the cover strips for either downwards or sidewards needs With E6000 you can just pull off again and rub off the glue, then reapply
  21. Made those, a strip of ABS, heat gun, vice and two strips of aluminium to hold while bending. Tony (ukswarth) has a bracket system which you can find info here
  22. Congratulations and welcome to the EI ranks trooper
  23. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks
  24. Looking better, just try to straiten the line a bit more, has a little wobble just towards the front.
