  1. Looks like the plastic belt section is pretty straight, adding some bend to this will help, a little heat and slight pressure at each of the box sections should do the trick. You may find you need a little heat on the shin too to help it stay in a closed position, just to take some strain of it's resting place, if it rests open it will always be a pain to keep closed.
  2. Fibreglass is definitely not as forgiving as the ABS but even with ABS the paint takes some abuse. Not too many issues and I'm sure you'll get these knocked out in not time.
  3. When in doubt always check the CRL: The soft belt proper is made of canvas, or material with a canvas covering. Size must be 2.75” (70 mm) to 3.25”(83 mm) wide and not wider than the plastic portion of the belt. The color is be white to off-white.
  4. Nice work just need a couple of adjustments to really look the part, although some of these may not hold you up for basic there are definitely some which will so I'd advise carrying them all out. You have a big gap at your elbows, biceps should come down and forearms could come up away from your hand guards. Belt boxes should align with the end of the plastic section of the belt, you could add a dab of E6000 to the straps behind to hold them there. Ab plates should have square corners, bit hard to see Your kidney plate looks to be sticking out on the left side. You have some neck seal hanging out the back on the rear photo, also your shoulder straps at the back should not be rounded off. Back plate there is a big gap between it and your kidney, do you have elastic in between these at the backplate should come down. TD is not central at the back. Your forearms look to have a big gap when you look on the rear photo, perhaps reduce the size of these. Also your left bicep is rotated a little, thumb print should be to your side. Also looks like your ab/cod/butt could come up, that would help reduce the gap on teh back plate. Your gloves appear to be shining on the inside, usually rubber gloves are used and they have a matte appearance. Shoulder bells at the bottom should have elastic attached at the bottom of them, this helps hold them in tight up against the biceps. Thighs are not centred on the front. Shins also look a little large, they are not rotated straight either, I find adding a loop of elastic through the front of the boot loop and then add a snap and snap plate to the inside of the front of the shin, this will keep them straight and stop them frmo rising up. On the rear image there is a gap in the bottom ridge of your right thigh, not a real problem as you could add a strip of abs behind BUT your cover strip does not look as if it is central to the gap, but your left one is? Right thigh ammo strip is attached too high, the tops of the ammo strip should be attached to the lower ridge. You have a few things to modify so I may leave it there, have a good look at the CRL and adjust accordingly, also have a look at some of the other pre approval threads and compare with yours. Good luck with the adjustments, looking forward to seeing some new photos soon.
  5. Did you use "direct link" not just "link" as they don't appear to be working, I've just tried and seems ok.
  6. Nice work, you do have a little bit of a gap on your right ear, although a gap is acceptable it is a little uneven, if you sand down some of the area shown green below this will reduce the gap, you may then be able to sand the uneven edge and get a better appearance.
  7. It does, copy the "direct link" of you image (one by one), or if you are on computer you can even just right click on the uploaded Imgur photo, select copy and paste directly into the thread, for some reason it doesn't like it a much in mobile version.
  8. Looking good nice work on the build, if I may just suggest a couple of tweaks shouldn't be a hold up for basic though just suggestions: Your shoulder bells have a different gap, your left should come in a little more. Belt should come up a little more, it should sit just under the bottom ab button. You have a big gap around the knees, I did too, so I added some foam on the inside of the shins at the bottom so when I closed them they sat higher up on the boots, not a hold up for basic will just look a bit better.
  9. Could you post your images directing into your thread, makes it a little easier to refer back to them. If you use a free online image host like Imgur you can select the "direct link" from your upload image and paste that link directly into your thread, multiple images can be posted then
  10. Nice work, just a couple of tweaks. Looks like there is something going on with your right shoulder bell, it's not pulled in as much as the left, also what elastic are you using across the bottom of the bells, it looks quite big? Ideally the belt should sit just under the bottom ab button, it appears yours is covering that button. Should be ok for basic but some of the paint on your teeth is on the gums, you could remove this excess paint with tooth picks. Forearms could come down a touch to give you a little more room to move at the elbows, will also close the gap at the wrists. The right shin looks like the cover strip at the back isn't quite closed. Add a little foam to behind the sniper plate to keep it away from your thigh as it may hit when walking. Mic (hovi) tips could be painted white just on the rim. Looks like the rivets on your thigh ammo strip need painting white too. As I say just a couple of tweaks and you'll be a shoe in, but I'm sure as it your pretty close to basic approval.
  11. It still looks like you are bringing the tape over on an angle over the top of the helmet, you only want about an 1" or so of black between the top greeble/clip and the tape, so where you have the matte line at the top now is fine just follow down from there to between the 2nd and 3rd teeth, also follow that same angle down the back
  12. As soon as they trim a kit they send one out, should only take another 10 years Joking, only they know how long it will take
  13. Nice work, you have more patience than I
  14. Looking forward to seeing those BBB photos good luck with the build
  15. Unfortunately not, it would mean removal and reapplying the paint but as I say check with your GML first, all may be fine for basic
  16. Really depends how strict your GML (garrison membership liaison) is, wouldn't hurt to get in touch with him/her and check. Personally I would approved but it's not my call, I would say adjust them though if you are thinking of going EI or Centurion
  17. You could also try some tighter elastic/Velcro or if that doesn't work my little V tab tip for the butt flap flare, just use a couple of strips of ABS, a little heat and glue on one side.
  18. Definitely some better screen accuracy from the earlier kits, I do like the fact they have the longer front section which sits behind the chest BUT the chest/yoke from the early kits did take a lot of strain above the shoulders hence which I can see they have these pieces hinge much like how Phasma's chest/yoke does. I wonder how much of a join line you would see if they where butted up tight with an elastic or Velcro or magnet attachment underneath, would they be seen in application photos, time will no doubt tell. Nice to also the better accuracy on the ab tabs but I would advise some strengthening behind these as they do look a little thin. I know Anovos had said kits should ship before Celebration but they really are cutting it fine, my beta was late to be shipped and I needed it for a specific troop here so it was heads down all in and had the kit assembled, painted and ready to wear in 10 days, so it can be done so for those of you hoping to wear them soon I wish you luck on your builds, do your research, check the build thread sections and get to building (or wait to see more images of a certain red trooper/s) Good luck everyone.
  19. You are going to hate me, looks like your tape line is a little off, slanted to one side, also if you compare with a lot of the reference images the line normally seems to go through just past the 2nd tooth.
  20. Even as a beta they where delightfully, patient, exciting, scary times, "what instructions, who needs instructions"
  21. The pics for those not on FB Definitely looks like the chest/yoke connection will need some work as expected
  22. Nice work although they do appear angled from the cheek, here's some nice references showing the gap consistent along the cheek ------------
  23. Nice work, I would also try to get your brow trim a little straighter, also Stunt version stormtroopers also had a little white showing under the brow trim, you may want to adjust
  24. Great work once again, a couple of tweaks I would recommend. The biceps are seen a lot lower in ESB you could move them down and reduce the gap at the elbows Ab button plate corners should be square and not rounded off Good luck with approval
  25. "But I like wearing my bicep rotated"
