Great news, congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks (just watch those drop box positions ) Looking forward to seeing your EIB application soon

Well you could trim the top of the thighs but everything is sitting up higher as it is, thighs and shins, you do have a big gap of black at your left knee Notice how low the shins sit on the boots, also minimal gap at the knees in this reference, now compare with your image. The image below does have some gap between the thighs and cod so I'm not sure what moved when you were taking photos, maybe it's the arm in the air. Compare the two images, gap no gap Normally you find a bit of tweaking is needed, especially when you start moving around and also at troops.

Nice work, almost there Just a couple of things to note, you thighs appear to be hitting your cod, you could drop the thighs a little to give you some room, also shins could come down a touch to give you a little room at the knees. There is also a big gap between the chest and ab plate in a few images, may need some tighter strapping behind. Also note the cover strip on your left leg should stop above the lower ridge. I would also just rim the cover strip on the top of your left thigh, it could catch when moving around or walking Make sure those drop boxes align with the ends of your plastic belt

I doubt the purchasers of the last few suits would even know that the armor was not the actual Mandalorian version intended to be front and center in the show and that they were actually purchasing a ANH version from a 501st legion member who appeared on the show. Would I be upset if I found out this was an extra/fill in costume? DAMN RIGHT but I'm not the purchaser, who knows if the purchases did find out how they would react. It's really not false advertising as the suit was used on the show. The actual issues with the costume though I'm surprised it met LFL standards to be used on the show but who knows who is checking that prior to attendance. I don't have any issues with the seller either, listen if I could get 10 grand or more for one of my costumes I'd sell it too, I could really use the money, I would however be thinking would someone be trying to contact me later when they find out what they had bought. Who knows, that's just me.

Here's a great thread on how to post images via a free online image host You will often find with custom made armor that you need to adjust strapping or trim some pieces. Having a full length mirror can help when taking your approval photos, especially when your photographer is not aware of what to look out for. We do have a pre approval thread you may wish to post in to get some feedback before reaching out to your GML (garrison membership liaison) https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/191-tk-pre-approvals/

ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
gmrhodes13 replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Ultimately that decision will come down to your GML (garrison membership liaison) and how they intemperate the CRL. Personally I don't think that will be picked, there are other more obvious areas I would think would be looked at For TFA the top plate is glued with the front section free to fit your hand through. Also has two angle pieces to support at the front For TLJ/TROS there are built a little differently and have a zipper down the center with elastic and under the top are angles The pill box and picatinny rail are separate too You could reach out to our @Deployment Officer Team for L2 and L3 requirements. -
Correct, from legion command: "How COVID-19 has affected trooping is different in many parts of the world. Trooping opportunities available worldwide are also varied. Legion Command supports Unit CO exceptions to waive activity requirements on a case-by-case basis. Please communicate with your local staff to determine any extra information you may need in regards to COVID-19 and trooping/Census." Locally we have asked for our members to fill in their census to show they are active, even if they have not trooped they will get a covid pass, which is a small thing to ask for, if they have not trooped or filled out their census then they will be moved to reserve, membership requirement is maintaining active contact with their command staff as stated in the Legion Operations Protocol. Section 2: Membership Active Members An Active Member is defined as a member in good standing who meets the following requirements: Meets all 501st Membership Requirements (i.e. ownership of an approved costume, is over 18 years of age, etc). Has an approved membership record in the 501st Legion Membership Database Maintains active contact with their CO or GML. Active contact and participation will be confirmed during the annual Legion Census held each year during the month of October. Also as we are starting to get back to normal trooping here so we have also taken this opportunity to forewarn our members the covid-19 pass will be removed for the next census period (2022-2023) and normal trooping rules will apply, again this is up to each individual garrison and their leadership.

Matt and James's TK build thread - AM 4.5

You could move the straps from the shoulder bells further forward on your shoulder straps, this helps them to come inwards. Or if that doesn't work you could pull them further forwards/inwards for your approval photos, then adjust them back when taking the back photos. -

As a reference here's my ATA sniper plate, a little heat and some tape to pull backwards to keep tight while the glue is drying, I also leave any areas under strain for 72 hours to fully dry

First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment (Expired) Status
gmrhodes13 replied to trooperGonzo's topic in Forum Help & Support
Hello, normally this happens if you haven't frequented the forums, you must log in at least once during the census year. Some more info here -
I've had no issues with nylon snap plates coming off. With other places make sure you try to get them as close to the ends as you can. For the chest / ab I taped them together and checked in a mirror on the placement then worked out spacing from there, easy to adjust the tape to get the right appearance. I do actually use adjustable straps for that area too as sometimes the elastic can loosen over time. You can see the adjustable chest/ab straps in this image

Matt and James's TK build thread - AM 4.5
gmrhodes13 replied to Sawanator's topic in ANH Build Threads
So, I had major issues with imgur (in fact I still am). Having such a hard time shrinking and cropping. As a result, I couldn't upload during the build, which was problematic. I've never had to resize images for Imgur, perhaps this thread may help I also have been guilty of not taking enough pictures in this journey. Been hard since we only work on this like 2 or 3 times a year, but I definitely should have done this more as a journal, and I regret not doing that. Happens to a lot of us, I'm more into the building and forget about photos My ab sides are bursting open, and I need to fix this. Been doing lots of reading, and I like the nylon fabic hinge idea I saw in AJ's AM build thread. A tab or two of abs/plastic, one side glued to the kidney will help keep it held under the abdomen. Elastic works better than nylon as it can pull in any gap. I can see some other issues here, such as my large chest is making a large gap between my shoulder bells (see main pics below). I really don't know how to proceed here. Do I trim them? Do I need to shorten the strap to the shoulders? I don't think you will notice that once you have the plastic shoulder straps attached Author Posted 25 minutes ago · IP Alright, So, I had major issues with imgur (in fact I still am). Been hard since we only work on this like 2 or 3 times a year, but I definitely should have done this more as a journal, and I regret not doing that. Anyway, here are the updates so far. I'm about 80 to 90 percent done. Lots of little things. James is further behind, and I will post his stuff later. I'm having "larger guy" issues. My ab sides are bursting open, and I need to fix this. Been doing lots of reading, and I like the nylon fabic hinge idea I saw in AJ's AM build thread. He used his rivets to support them, but I've already got mine set, so I'll work around that somehow. I also like this idea of a shim on the open side. I will rig something up there as well, and I hope this helps. I noticed that my kidney's reallly push things out. It's almost like I need some padding on my gut (except I have enough) ;-) the push the bottom part our a bit. I'm hoping between the shim, and the new joint, plus wearing the belt, things will "shape up". I can see some other issues here, such as my large chest is making a large gap between my shoulder bells (see main pics below). I really don't know how to proceed here. Do I trim them? Do I need to shorten the strap to the shoulders? Onto the pics main pics. I have to admit, I got excited, and I just threw things on, even though I don't have many pieces done (including my thigh belt system yet (hence me holding my thighs up). Looks like your helmet is sitting down at the back although the neck seal or shirt looks a bit bunched up. Really a little hard to tell how the spacing will be until you have all your pieces finished and strapping attached, your sniper plate and thigh ammo strip can make a big difference to the looks of gaps. If you do need a little more room in the thighs you could add larger cover strips on the rear, this will however give you an opening on the bottom ridge so you may need to bend up a piece of plastic for the ridge gap, abs paste and sand/polish. Here's just one thread on wider thighs, more for the filling lower ridge example -
Still sitting in a box in pieces, got side tracked with some droid builds, almost ready to get back too it.

Looks like your Abdomen could cup up, also the kidney at the back, this will help reduce the gap between your backplate and kidney. Abdomen normally sits snug, but not so you loose circulation

EVA foam stormtrooper armor build
