ANH stunt back plate error (bad pull possibly)
gmrhodes13 replied to th1973's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
It can be very difficult to fix square edged areas, very hard to heat up without distortion. Looking at a few MTK EIB references it looks like that section is present (MTK passed to Imperial Surplus) -
Definitely post a build thread as I don't think we have any DN builds to date. You may find this page of links useful while researching Don't be afraid to ask questions, there are no silly questions, just silly mistakes from not asking

Lots of mash ups, seems the norm, repurpose characters, snowies are weird too

Calf and Shin Assembly Assistance

My pleasure. Many of use a free online image host as the forum has size restrictions, Imgur was working well but those in the UK can no longer access, FLICKR is another free one, if you get stuck please reach out. -

Calf and Shin Assembly Assistance
gmrhodes13 replied to MapleTK's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Some photos may help us identify your issue. Some makes need a hot water bath or heat gun (with lots of practice) Many of us find we have to apply some heat to get the shins to close properly, either heat gun (practice needed) or hot water bath. Using velcro they will be open slightly but generally not seen from the outside as they are overlapped outside over inside. A couple of random threads may be of help Cricket has a very nice magnet closure system if you want something else -

Made my own from nylon, some use leather belts, they can be as simple or complicated as you want. Some use snaps to connect some use glue and some use velcro. Adding suspenders helps to keep the thighs from dropping, added a back brace, keeps my nice and upright, no slouching I do have a harness for some of my costumes to hold other armor pieces with adjusters

Bit hard to make out in the images but does it look to be made of fibreglass, last photos appears to be? Has a 3 piece helmet which is quite old, have not seen one of those for some years.
