  1. Mine is kinda like Aloha's. I have a strap snapped from the center of my chest plate to my ab plate and there is 2 straps from my back to my kidney in the middle. This both holds them against each other and stops unwanted separation. I too don't like seeing a strap on the sides from chest to back under the arms, but that is personal preference.
  2. the thickest one they had was big and cost like $2. it was long enough for all the strips. just remember to rough the armor and the sign up good with some 60 grit paper.
  3. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=8867 this is the build thread i used. very good and easy to understand
  4. yes it comes with plenty of extra ABS but I would not use that for snap plates or the inside strips. Just go to Walmart or something and get the thickest "for sale" sign they have. The abs is too thick in my opinion for the snap plates or inside strips.
  5. http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/epxy_plstc_s/overview/Loctite-Epoxy-Plastic-Bonder.htm This stuff!
  6. CA glue is awesome or you could use the Locktite for plastic, it works good too. Just make sure you rough up both sides that are getting stuck together. I was a fan of e6000 but not now, it just takes too long to set.
  7. The front gets the appropriate cover strip all the way down(same width all the way), I just wouldn't do a cover strip on the back. That's just my opinion though.
  8. Make sure they taper down. I forgot on mine and bottom is a little big so I kinda get the bell effect when I walk.
  9. Looks OK to me, but I'm not an expert. I had one of my shoulders hi when I started and if I moved my arm up very hi the snap would pop. Mine is now where you have your's and works fine.
  10. Need to trim a little more of the hand guards too. Especially the wrist side. Looking good
  11. Even if you're going for the crooked brow look I think you need to lower it just a little. Once you put the side screws in it will bring the sides tighter, then when you put on the ears that will cover the gap. You need a gap across the front of the brow so the brow strip can fit on there, just make sure you don't cut the strip short. You need it to be tight across there so it will hold on.
  12. Those that I have seen use shims in the back if their thighs don't do a cover strip back there. Sucks this happened but live and learn, we all usually mess something up along the way in our build. On your forearms, I trimmed mine to the appropriate 15mm (7.5mm on each side) and still have to put padding inside because my forearms are thin like your's.
  13. Agree with the photobucket to show pics. Just so you know, scoring and snaping for long straight lines is better than cutting. Don't be afraid to ask if you need help or tips. Good luck!
  14. Painted the inside of mine but didn't rough it up so a lot flaked off when assembling. Have a fan but haven't installed it yet and used padding from a T-ball helmet in the sides.
  15. Looks good to me. Are there other images this good of holsters? I ask, wondering if all were the same. Say they have a templates laid out on a large piece of leather to cut them out and produce a lot of them and some had to be turned/angled to fit in some areas to use as much material as possible without waste. Just a thought as to maybe a cause for differences if there are any.
  16. It comes with the end caps and control panel just not the PVC pipe. You need 2 in diameter and 7 3/8 in long.
  17. I have small arms and that one is still tight on me. Might have to contact him about getting a replacement.
  18. Yes, the Stanley case is the best and most widely use. You can also paint and sticker it up to make it unique.
  19. They actually come labeled (variences) with all 3 OT but all have the exact same figure. There is also a helmet varience. One the lenses are touching the brow line, the other has a little space between them.
  20. Congrats on your first troop! Mine was last week and did 2 Christmas parades back to back.
  21. Yes the new ones should be inbetween the ones that you cover.
  22. I think you at least have to add the side t-tracks to your's, not sure you have to drill the new holes. Someone higher up will have to chime in.
