  1. It was actually just yesterday, minus the trimming. I had all the trimming done and with his expertise he and I both thought it would pretty much be done. We ran into several assembly tools, (i.e. adhesive and snaps) problems.
  2. Sadly the build did not go as smooth as expected. We got the bucket done, both biceps, one forearm, the shoulder straps on and snaps onto the shoulder bells, chest and back plates at the shoulders. We will finish up next Saturday.
  3. Just do Dragon Con, I hear it's better!
  4. Can an admin please correct my spelling error in the title?
  5. Here is my armor . It is all trimmed and ready for the build tomorrow. Hopefully it will all get done and I will take pics along the way and post them.
  6. Just my $.02, make it the E-11. I guess you got it due to the Star Wars connection so why not make it look like the movie? Either way it is a super nice gun.
  7. And my question is answered before I can even ask it.
  8. :laugh1: :laugh1:
  9. Looks great! The shins look a little high but otherwise looks fine to this newb.
  10. I paid $10 for a T-ball helmet at Target and cut out the foam and that is what I'm using.
  11. Really, they banned Megatron?
  12. Looks great! Are you going to add the T-tracks?
  13. I stand corrected, as I have not seen this. I would agree then that it might not be a bad idea.
  14. "Those are the droids we're looking for!"
  15. You don't want to clearcoat the blaster!!! It's not suppose to be shiney that would make it look plasticy. 100 post!! Yay
  16. I highly recommend eastbay.com. At last check they were still having 2 items for $30 +shipping. Mine came to about $38 all together. Very comfortable and light for warm weather. If you need they sell cold weather too but I think they are more.
  17. Correct or none to very little on top.
  18. So I cut to that length. If I slide the end caps on the control panel touches each end. Am I missing something?
  19. Cool, thanks! Eyeballing it I thought 12" but putting up to my back, that was quickly not right.
  20. So I got the 2" diameter PVC to do my thermal detonator, but what is the exact length that it is suppose to be? So that there is the right amount of grey showing between the end caps and the control panel. I have looked at several build threads but just can't find the length. Thanks!
  21. I don't think so, but wait til a professional chimes in. Good luck!
  22. It's TK Bubba, Get'r done! JK looks good but do what Aloha says and see how it is.
  23. Everyone pretty much said the main differences but here they are all together: 1. Black frown (ESB) / Grey frown (ANH) 2. Hand guards, you usually just tell who you are getting your armor from which one you plan on doing and they will send you the appropriate ones 3. Holster is worn on right side and has black loops that you belt goes through (ESB) Left side with brown straps that attach to under side of belt with rivets (ANH) 4. Just order which helmet stickers from Trooperbay ESB or ANH 5. If you are doing an E-11 blaster, either conversion or full build you don't add the code cylinders that sit on top of the mag clip or the counter on the side for ESB. As stated before ROTJ has a lot of differences. Good luck with your choice, I also went ESB because it's my fav movie.
