  1. This is a good pic. I believe the top of the ammo should be even with the top of the ridge near the knee, on the sides where you attatch it. This might be how you have your's it just doesn't look that way in the pics.
  2. Only 2 things I potentially see is: 1. Your knee ammo looks like it might be a little too high 2. Are your shoulder straps attached to your back plate? If yes, then the right one is off. If no, then nevermind. Looks great though.
  3. Use photobucket or similar, then you copy and paste the pic's link in your post.
  4. Looks great! The forearms look a little big around on you, not length. Bobo could chime in better on that though.
  5. I second that. Besides what you mentioned, you look great!
  6. Wow! I must say this has got to be the best Doopy's build thread I have seen. Both with the details you put into the build and your great tutorial job. The whole time the one thing I was going to suggest, that I don't see a lot of people do, was to drill out the holes underneath in the folding stock, and then you go and put that on your "to do list" today. When the day comes for me to do my full resin kit, as I have a conversion now, I hope mine comes out remotely as good as your's.
  7. It's very nice and worth the wait. good luck with the trimming, it's a big pain in the an impolite person.
  8. Looks good. Who did you order from? If ATA it took the exact time they said it would before I got my email that it was being made.
  9. Here is the eastbay link for the pants. They are still doing the 2 for $30 deal (that's 2 items, i.e. a shirt and a pant). These are great and I ordered my regular size and they fit good. ----------
  10. Good job, suit looks great! As long as you're happy that's what matters.
  11. Go with the eastbay stuff you won't be disappointed.
  12. It's ok, it took me a while to understand what they meant by that as well. When you get your armor and it's in front of you, you will see it clearly. Short answer it is the slight bend of the edges of the armor toward the inside, i.e. the skin/body. The forearms are the one area where I know there should be none at all and was just wondering about the other areas.
  13. Ref the shoulder straps: it should come over the front and there should be 5 of the little bars on the chest piece, with the 5th bar being even with the top edge of the chest piece. That is what the screen shots showed that I saw someone post the other day and I counted so I knew where to place mine. I will try to find the post to show you.
  14. Looks great!!! My bday is next month if you want to send me one.
  15. Most of the builds I have seen get a thick "For Sale" sign and cut out square and put the snap in the middle, then glue that to the armor. That is how I plan on doing mine.
  16. How much of a return edge, if any is there suppose to be on the joining parts? (i.e. thighs, shins, biceps) I know there is not suppose to be any return edge on the forearms so just need to know about the others. BTW, doing ESB TK w/ ATA ABS. Thanks for your help!
  17. Looks good! Just curious as to what made you go for the flat black? Good job on the weathering!
  18. I will try to find a pic of a build but you use a about a one inch wide and a couple of inches long piece of ABS of type plastic to glue down the end of the straps to the bell. Here it is!
  19. This is what a newbie sees so take it as you will: 1. Ammo on inside of right knee does not appear to be on good (could be the pic) 2. The left shoulder is not sitting right. Could be temporary for the pic or your strapping might need to be adjusted. 3. Your sniper plate is under your thigh armor. If this happens a lot you might need to tighten your thigh armor. Again this is just my observations from a total newb from looking at others'. (BTW my big brown box from ATA came today. Can't wait til I get mine built and people can correct me too, I know I will need it.)
  20. Sadly you didn't put the t-track on the right side back far enough. the front hole should be open, otherwise looks great.
  21. this is just my 2cents, I wouldn't bother with it. If anything maybe the center but I wouldn't worry about adding to the sides. It is a hasbro mod, which you did a great job on, but I would just wait til you upgrade to a full kit one day for any more accuracy.
  22. For getting the resin out for the screw heads I just used a drill to the center, which gets most of it. Then just use an exacto knife or the like to trim the rest. Worked real easy.
  23. Mine came in today. I will say mine are a little big, I'm hoping after some inserts it helps out a lot. I wear a 11.5-12 so I ordered the 12's but I'm thinking I could have went with the 11's. They look good though and now I just need my armor to come.
  24. Drilling the holes aren't that hard, just make sure you mark your start point and just let the drill weight do the work.
