Loads of people add foam inside the forearms to take the baggy ness out. The forearm sizing fit rule of thumb is... Make it as small as you can, so you can still fit your hand through, But it should balance, and look to be around the same diameter as the lower end of your biceps. Yours look ok in the pic.

TK-1636 requesting ANH stunt centurion status[87][AP*]
FunkyTrigger replied to TK1636's topic in Request Centurion Status
Hi Michael, Calm down please, we are all like minded here, the previous guy made a comment and there wasn't a need to come back so hard. When anyone puts themselves up for the scrutiny of EIB or centurion, there will always be a comment to be made and sometimes you have to be thick skinned. You may put people off from making comments on your build, unless of course that's what you wanted. The right eye socket comment seemd fair to me. There is meant to be a bump there, but I would like to take advice from the DO as to whether yours is felt to be too large and thus have excess flashing surrounding it. Your build has been to a high standard, I love your attention to detail, your bicep hooks etc I feel that the curve on your knee ammo strap is a little shallow in curve shape. I am very surprised that someone of 5,10" would cut the AB Cod, I can't see a reason for it. And may I ask how much you removed from the bottom of your shins to shorten them by? Good luck with your application. -
Hi Evan. Once you load your pictures into photobucket, there is an option per pic to copy the IMG code.. Once you do this, the code to show the picture is stored in your computers memory. Simply paste the IMG code in the next line etc And the picture will automatically show in the post once your submit it. Pretty easy really. All forums tend to work this way and it will also work like this on the UKG site. There are, many, many build threads on here, And tutorials And take a look in the advanced tactics area at EIB and Centurian applications to see the higher standard applications. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your pics and build thread.

How exactly do you "fit" the armor?
FunkyTrigger replied to Deadghosty's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
It's hard to answer your question in just words but start like this. Measure the circumference of your thighs at the widest point. I get around 28.5" on me from memory. Then measure the circumference around your knee, I think I was 20" for example. This means that my thigh Armour had to taper in to fit my leg. If you put your two thigh pieces together and tape them, you can measure your Armour circumference at the top and bottom of the Armour. You take equal amounts off each Armour piece to keep the correct shape of the Armour. For my last Armour each thigh top needed 14.25" in outside circumference and the knee sections needed to be 10" in circumference so that when you bring the two pieces together I achieved a 28" and 20" taper. I drew a straight line from the top to bottom markers and effectively cut a straight line which took off a long thin triangle. An appropriate sized cover strip is used. Front and rear of the Armour pieces. Approx 25mm for legs and shins. Approx 15mm for biceps and forearms. Larger people may add a shim, if their Armour needs to be bigger and a coverstrip to cover the shim. Hope this answer helps you. -
Do a few searches on this forum for... SDS Armour Aka Sheperton Design Studios And on AA Andrew Ainsworth You can then form your own opinion about this guy.

Permanent thermal detonator clips?
FunkyTrigger replied to Sith_Lord117's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Also, if you permanently attach it to your Armour, then think about packing, storing and transporting your Armour. It won't sit in the right place or look right. Where would your belt go? Above it or below it? It doesn't sound like a good idea. -
Can you show a picture with pencil marks of where you would like to trim? You are allowed to trim in certain areas that will not affect your look or clearance.

Hi there, it matters not that the NE helmet is a new helmet, you should still try and emulate how the ears look on the screen used helmets. There are plenty of screen grabs for you to review. With regards to your biceps, they look too big at your elbow area. Whilst I appreciate that you say that they are snug by your biceps, it would appear that they require trimming down or tapering. I built an AM Armour years ago, the predecessor of NE and remember how much extra plastic they have at every join to cater for larger troopers. Taper the join if required, make your Armour look good on you and form fitted to your shape. Good luck trooper.

TK 9729 requesting EIB ANH status [AP][316]
FunkyTrigger replied to candymanq's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
To me it looks like you may be able to get your EIB with some simple strapping adjustments to tidy up your look. Your main ammo belt is a bit low. Try and line up the top of this belt just below your AB colour buttons. How tall are you? This info is not showing on your application. Your bicep Armour looks too high up and your forearms look too low on your wrists, this is showing an out of proportion amount of black around your elbows. You can lengthen the strapping that holds your biceps so that they are just above your elbow. Do you have strapping on your forearms? If not, you can strap from the bicep to the forearm to bring the forearm up. Create an even gap between your wrist and elbow. Your left shoulder Armour gap is very large and could do with bringing in. Your helmet seems to be quite high on your head. Is there some excess padding that could be removed ? And finally, you either need to change the top half of your under suit or you need to conceal that white oval much better. Your look would go a long way after attending to these adjustments. Good luck trooper. -

Recently obtained armor with an interesting history...
FunkyTrigger replied to kennyo21361's topic in eBay Armor
Hi Kenny, Welcome to the FISD. The best place for you to start with, would be to read the base CRL for a TK Stormtrooper. Decide if your creating a Stormtrooper from either of the original trilogy films ANH, ESB or ROTJ and follow that. Good luck trooper.
