  1. If you are looking at the helmet straight on from the front, your right hand side has 16 stripes and the left has 15. Your pic of the stencils are left and right respectivly if you are facing the helmet
  2. the lense looks pretty thin, you can get one that is made of thicker material, so it wont ripple. TK4510 sells them and he is in CA
  3. Congrat's, that punch list didn't take long at all
  4. Submit your photos and get your TK# before you do any mods. That way you have it under your belt, then take your time.
  5. You look Great! You should be approved in no time.
  6. You may have to go with a RT-MOD helmet, I think your size is a bit to large for screen size helmet. Contact Rob at RT-MOD, he's really cool and tell him your size.
  7. I had tried velcro, but went with the elastic and hook method, it seems to work pretty well.
  8. Looking good, the left shin is really tight on me, was this your problem too.
  9. Look at this before you start the helmet, it will pretty much answer your qestions. The curved scissors are good for trimming the armor pieces. The finishing strips is where you will need a sharp razor and a metal ruler. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=14806
  10. Look here, these trusted sources for armor. The armor comes formed but must be assembled, as far as price it depends on your budget.
  11. The lexan scissors are a really handy tool, you can trim almost the whole kit with them and they cost around 10 bucks. ATA sends 2 pairs of ears in case you make a mistake. Take your time and have fun.
  12. when using the hobby iron, I found that you dont want to keep the iron in constant contact with the surface or it will melt really fast. I just use padding motion and go back and forth alittle at a time, it worked well for me.
  13. Here is another shot, it's not a close up but you can see some the knee detail. Ignore the troopers missing their drop boxes.
  14. If you having trouble bending your arm you could trim the inside of the elbo like this. The overall lenth looks pretty good.
  15. Just make sure before you paint them on, that they on the correct side. There is a right and a left side
  16. Nice! You hand painted all the details, thats cool! TK 4510 sells tube stripe stencils, if you want to paint those to, or you could make your own.
  17. Teras Kasi
  18. ATA would be to small for you, especially if you dont want shims. Like Mathias says RT-Mod would be a good option. If you could get down to 180lbs, ATA would fit you.
  19. Looking good! The first suit i had i cut the cod and it did help alitle when bending down. I used to brew at home but had an explosion in the dinning room, besides I drink it so fast.
  20. I have them on the holster where it mounts to the canvas belt. I think the head size is 3/8, the depth will depend on how thick your holster and belt are. You need 2 for the canvas belt and 2 for the holster strips. I really like these because you can remove them if need be.
  21. Nice armor! How tall are you? I wish more armor makers offered longer shin pieces
  22. Wow! It's got to be so awesome to wear that suit out on a troop.
