  3. Will 5/8 be close enough?
  4. What size are these, I am looking at 10mm. Let me know if thats close. Thanks
  5. Just got mic tips.
  6. I have drilled these out before. Hold the inside of the helmet part of the rivet with pliers and drill carefully.
  7. Thank's for sharing , Amazing! Especially the last photo. Looks right out of the movie... Cheers
  8. Not at all! Asking for help is ok. Just trying to help.
  9. Well I am not sure it will affect the ammo box , because you are just removing a small amount of material from the back of the thigh. The plastic weld won't matter because you are not going to unglue the rear joining strip, just cut the plastic strip down along the edges, all the way thru the thigh and remove it.Then the back of the thigh piece would be open like it was when assembling it. Your thigh would be about an inch smaller in diameter. Then put on a new strip, on the thigh. When I assembled my forearms one of them was to way to big, And it was completely glued , so I thought about it for quite some time before getting the nerve to make it smaller. You wont be making it alot thinner, just enough to make them blend alittle better. If you dont feel comfortable doing this dont try it. Maybe someone near you with more experience could lend you a hand. Edit: you look fine, but if you want to mod them, contact your local garrison for help
  10. Hey! Your armor looks great, good work. Resizing the thighs would make you look even better! This what I would do, cut the joining strip completely out of the back of the thighs with scissors. Then move the the pieces closer and put on a new joining strip. You look pretty slim you could maybe remove more, to be safe just remove a little. Just my 2 cents. Cheers!
  11. The helmet was a real challenge for me to. I really like the way you trimmed the eyes!
  12. Sorry Daniel, I was moving some pic's and I broke the link. Right now I am painting with this and it looks real good. I personally fear clear coats. All that work and then you ruin it. This is the paint that I think most people are using.
  13. The RT-Mod chest piece is very close in size to the anh. The RT-Mod AB piece is were the big difference is, 3 '' taller than the anh, check out the RT-mod site for yourself. Mike, take it Easy!
  14. Hey Daniel, I just recently painted my suit with epoxy paint, it's real glossy and durable but cures off white. I think for the super white glossy finish you will have to go with this, Gloss white and primer
  15. The helmet straps are temps, I am making some new ones, but having trouble finding the right size snaps Got these the other day, they look like the right size, but one side has an open circle. Where can I find the right ones?
  16. Thank's glad you guys like it, and yes I will touch up the paint. Thanks Tom for editing the post. When I insert the direct link into the image tab it wont let me do multi pic's I will try it the other way.
  17. Hello ! I am waiting for the mic tips to arrive. I painted this helmet and all my armor with epoxy paint, it's real glossy but I did not realize that it cures off white. I hope this wont affect acceptance into the 501st and EIB.Here are some pic's of the helmet. The detail paints and the tube stripes are from TK 4510 and the s trim too. Let me know what you think.
  18. Great job fitting the armor, fits you like a glove. I would have never known you were 5' 6", in the pictures you look much taller.
  19. Dont give up yet! You could cut cod piece off the ab, this could give you 3 -4cm more lenth in the ab section. I cut mine because at 6' 2" I need a little more room. Basically your going to hide this under the belt, Check this thread out. http://forum.whitear...od&fromsearch=1
  20. Hi Joel! The only parts that are prone to cracking that I have noticed are the helmet of course, kidney piece because of the return edge and the belt .I used the cloth and e 6000 method to fix 2 small cracks that started on the belt, which seem to be ok now. As for the rest of the amor it's actually pretty sturdy.
  21. Wow! Your hand painted details look amazing, How many helmets have you painted?
