  6. Thanks, it took a while. I have been drooling over your TM armor with original strapping .
  7. Hi Mark, These split rivets are really easy to use. I had thought about capping the pop rivets that I had originally installed, but I was concerned that they would fall off after awhile. So I drilled out the pop rivets and put these on. I only use pop rivets on making snap plates now. Here is a pic of the inside, a washer is used to retain it. Hope this helps
  8. Mathias is correct, It's a 5/16 split rivet
  9. I have been looking foreward to this day! Thank you for creating this place!

  13. Name = Nick Rubidoux TK=4516 Garrison= Southern California Armor=CAP with some ATA Helmet=CAP Blaster=Hyperfirm Hieght=6'2" Weight=175lbs Boots=Caboots Canvas belt=TKittell Hand plates=Karin Electronics=none Holster=TKBondservnt2392 Neckseal=TK409 Mic tips=Keiths
  14. I only have an AP helmet, so I cant speak for the armor, but I just got an ATA armor kit and its really nice and sturdy. The white color of the plastic amazing. The kit shipped with different biceps and forearms, but my arms are pretty skinny so the small bicep isn't a problem. Also ATA is great when you need replacement parts
  15. TK 4516 requesting 501st access, if it's not to much trouble Sir. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=13873
  16. Nice! Did you use a bandfile belt sander? I have been thinking of picking one up.
  17. Nice! Did you go with the PVC?
  18. I use this tool, I am not sure what you call it. Looks kind of like an ice pick. You can also use a soldering iron, but this is easier. Push the tip of the pick thru the material then put the snap stem on the tip then push the snap stem thru the material, The pick acts as a guide.
  19. The snaps I have hold just fine. I use a snap setting tool not the plyers. To make the snap hold better on the elastic strap, I used a piece of nylon webbing like this. Also I think the female part of the snap works better on the straps. Hope this helps
