In Canada, it's "Remembrance Day", on November 11th. "Vode An"( Sgt, Canadian Forces, soon to be Ret)

Start with the helmet, most of the time it's the hardest to get right(if you build your own), and depending on the one you get cost the most. For the body armor, try just getting "parts" replaced and not the full set. Some times this will not work because you may have to mix ABS, with other types, and the shade of white may not match well. It's up to you really, what do you see as less accurate. My .02

I may be the only one here who think's this but....I kind of like the FX rig. It has lot's of room in the lid to get all the fans/mic/amp stuff we seem to like to try and jam into the bucket, it can be re-sized to fit most people male or female, and well ya can't beat the price. My first FX rig was very smooth and very glossy, and as a short stocky kind of guy I got it to fit rather well. I still use most of it other then replacing the lid with RT and some other minor parts. I plan to replace all of it and have a very "spot-on" A.N.H TK rig and will make this one "dirty". So for the most part I really don't see now why bothering to do any update at all. My .02 cents.

At soon to be 46, I really don't understand how in this "new" modern world we have, the "net", for the most part not too bad school's, free flow of info, that young ones still have this type of problem, if not more. I joind the military at 17(up here it used to be back in 81 within 3 months of your 18th b-day and your in) I didn't join to be cool, or hip, or what ever. I joind to be part of some thing bigger then myself. Some thing that had real world meaning, and not just to my own profit, but to contribute to the good of all. Right now I'm still going through some medical issues the will spell the end of my military career. And you know what? I am not sad about it at all. I have done my duty, served my people, even when most are mindless "libby" throw backs from the 60s! I joind at the beginning of the "it's all about me" thinking, cool kid's don't do that! (hint number one)! I'll pass on a few thing's to you. No I will not give the "Join the Army and be a man" crap. That's a load of stuff. I joind because I wanted too, not because my old man said too, or friend's said too, or who ever. I joind beacuse I wanted too. The military "life" fit me like a glove kind of thing. Don't be a card board cut out of what others think you should be. Be you. Get up every day and think, "I will be a decent man today". Sure, from time to time you may muck up a few things, just step back, take a big breath, try to fix the "mess" as best you can then go on. Just be "decent" and you should do ok. Oh and one more Big thing.....all ways buy RT-Armor!...heeheehee, ( no I'm not pushing the Canadian is best idea....it's just good armor!

I know Rob, and you'll get one of the best TK rig's going. If your going to try to fit your amp, ect inside your lid, try getting one of the small boars, the RT lid is a wee bit shy on room inside. Good luck on your build! -
My prayers are with you and your wife. Stay strong brother. All here are with you.

I was 15, it was in a theater in Delta BC, and my sis and her boy-friend had to take me and we missed the first bit of it. We got in just as the jawa's where getting the droid's ready to sell to Luke and his Uncle.
-
How much did you pay for it?
-
<_< Very "Diplomatic" of you to list "41-" <_< At 45, I saw SW in the theater, but them new "VHS" tape machine's where still new so I saw ESB in the theater and ROTJ on tape!

I hope to be working on my E3 bucket soon!

The Canadian military used to also issue 'rain poncho's", but moved to the top/bottom type of rain gear much after the late 70's. I myself was first issued a pair of rain top's/bottom's that if you put them on before the rain really came down you would be twice as wet! The stuff was cheap so you stayed wet, very wet! When we when on Ex with US troop's, if we could get near a PX we would buy up most of the US type of rain coat's/pant's! They worked! I got an old poncho from a surplus store before I got US rain gear. And we all got the liners

When you think of all the people with kid's who don't even remember their kids name, it's good to see something like this. Dose he know that "Vader" and "Skywalker" are one and the same?
-
All in all the above way to get a FX bucket into one pice is the way to do it. Have a look at some of my pic's in my photo album for ideas.
-
Hope you get well soon, one less on patrol makes more happy bad guys! Lets do it to them before they do it to us!
-
Well for one...it's a wee bit too close to where Canuck troop's are giving the "Tel-E-Bunny's" the good kicking they need! And two, unless I go in an "Official" capacity, I don't get to shoot back!
-
I sent him an email after he let me know he was going to be real late..."Whats in a Bucket?".....Workmanship!

For my thigh's I flexed my thighs and then made the measurement from that as to where to trim the leg parts ....both thigh and calfs. As far as the pic, the one leg plate is just turned a bit both thigh plates have some of the 'bend" part left after trimming
-
No,your right. The FX kit's lower leg or thigh parts form their own little "gap's" when glued together. But because of the shape of my thigh's and legs, other then the damn ear parts for the helm , the thighs give me problems. Most tall users will have no problems lineing up the back of the thigh plates to match the bend behined their knee's. But with me I have to trim so much to get the thigh's together, most of the "factory made gap" is gone
