The blaster is as much a part of the "Trooper" costume as the bucket. Two year's ago when I was working on my first FX kit, I had a first fitting at a friend's place to see if I got it right, parts worked, snap's held ect, but didn't have a blaster for the holster yet. My friend's son had one look and called his pal's over to see his mom's new boy-toy...a trooper! , When about 5 kid's blasted me with question's, the first one was, "Where is the blaster?, your not a real trooper, trooper's have blaster's"! You bet I'll have a blaster if I do a hospital troop, and I'll have my I.D. in a old military wallet under my chest plate. It will have my decoration's rubber banded to the other side! If you are part of an organized event and it's well known that "SW Trooper's" will be part of it, and the blaster has a red plug at the business end of the prop, it should be ok. It is legal to have "prop" or "replica" weapon's in Canada still, and as a still serving soldier of this fine nation, I for one will not give up my toy gun!

Joined CF Reserve in 81. Performed at both full-time and part-time as a Weapons Tech all over Canada and US till 90. Then remustered to MP as a Sgt from 90 till 02, Then from 03 till now full-time as an Instructor for weapon's and basic training, and from 07 till 08 as a recruiter but sustained an injury instructing, and because of this am now waiting for a med-release from service. It look's like Dec, 09 will be my release date. Overall about 28 year's.

I also have them. I didn't have to let them pass, I had what I think they call,"Lithotripys". What they do is use "shock wave's" and beat the heck out of your kidney from the outside. This turns any stone's into fine "silt,or mush", and that's what you pass. The problem I have is callous on the tip of my kidney's and for want of a word, make stone's. I have to have a scan of my kidney's every few year's to check up on my kidney's. At 22, a lot of young people get a few stone's once and never again. Ask your Doc if this type of treatment is better for you. Good luck trooper.

Yes Can-Post is not too bad, and U.S.P.S is about the same, but I do find the US post more helpfull then Can Post. And YES I have lost stuff, and money!, with Can Post. I say if it need's to be there fast, UPS is the best for fast, I send anything from Can to US I'll use them first, But Can Post if just in Canada.

A few year's ago, I too tryed ebay/paypal for doing on-line stuff, but had problem's from the start. That's why I use a bank draft/ups send to any where if I see some thing I like. I'll never use CC's on line again or use the above listed out-fit's. We all understand that life can s**k from time to time, and yes thing's can mess up. It's when you get loss-no info-no service to boot that add's "Insult to Injury"!

Just a few thing's I'd like to kick out. First Palpatine was the strongest Sith to date and from the start was pulling string's, political pay-off's and play off's, back room skulduggery, the type to rob peter and then pay paul, then kill him too. Never in the front, always safe behind whoever he was using at the time to get closer to his ultimate dream of controll of all. More loyal to self then even to "Sith". He needed an apprentice to complete the "rule of two", but never had any real intent to complete Vader's training, but just to use him, just like the rest. In EP 3 we see him at the end to even lie to Vader, to push him over the edge, to complete his cross-over to the dark side, buy, falsely, telling him HE killed Padme. Anikin would never give her up even to appease Palpatine! Anikin himself stated he would rather 'off" the Emperor, and keep Padme. So with that said, Palpatine knew he could never fully controll the military AND stay on top of the side he was so much better at. Political in-fighting, using one against the other, all the real "dark" side of people. But Vader was a far more real leader as such, more happy at "the front" then playing power politic's. Also all that talk of "duty", honour, the stuff all military force's need to work, especially on a large scale, dose not bread the same type of dark side power fully needed by Palpatine to stay stronger then Vader. Other then a few special troop formation's, fleet ship's, (cloak and dagger type's) ect, It was Vader in charge by in large of ALL fleet(navy) trooper(army) types.In this way Palpatine could keep Vader occupied, show the military who really was in charge, by controlling Vader. Vader LIKED this. In an odd way, even as he called "Palpatine" master,Vader was far more willing to show "loyalty" ,after a fashion, to the military, knowing that the loyalty of "the troop's" was more powerful then the political type's. So all the "designation's" used for the troop's is just pure military managment, for the most part.

Exactly! It was just his call sign, and that's it. So the 501st could use say..ST.. for it's members and still be canon. ST as StormTrooper, like CT CloneTrooper ect....but I won't stir any pot over it

Well yes I can see why! What to call each other. I have no problem with TK. I guess it`s the only real name used for the troopers in the flik that stick`s.

Ok how about this. Other then the one time in the DS, buy that uppity "black hat" in the controll room, how often is the word TK used to refer to any other trooper's in any of the other movies.

30 Meg's! You put a lot of work on your own to do this, so good for you! I have spent year's making lesson plan's to instruct young soldier's and never have I seen the "perfect" lesson plan. So don't sweat the fine tune stuff. I'm down loading this now and will have a look, but yes this is just what the new trooper need's. Good work!

I guess the first step is to get a full set of armour done and ready to have for a Application for the 501st.....as soon as Mr Rob get's back to his real job pumping out bucket's and armour and stop this silly stuff about flying plane's! Oh and just who is this mystery trooper squad in Vancouver? Got a number for them? (see not once did I crack a joke about any air-force types like Rob!)

I just picked up season 3/4 of "Enterprise" today. So going to burn out my eye's with prolonged tv watching. Wish I had a wife to drive around, complain about drunk friends, get away from to get drunk. Hmmmmmm say, we are all ture "vode" here, trooper brothers to the end.....can I borrow some ones wife so I can then post and complain about doing stuff for her???????

Thank's guy's for the info, maybe I need to be a bit more clear, first my "intent" is not to start a mini-insurrection. Yes I have seen and had a quick look at the 501st main page. My point is I am waaaaay out here in Delta BC, and the Bad lands is head quartered just outside Edmonton, I think. So to be able to have a sit with the lad's and chat, review kit to see if it's upto 501st standard stuff like that, is not very practical. To be able to take part in most troop event's and the like is not that easy. If you have seen the coin I have recently dropped to get a very well made ANH TK rig going, hell is make my head swim! So a lot of plane ride's is not in the budget! (i mean are we all sane doing stuff like this? ) If the Bad Lands will let me in cool, but this is going to be a problem.

From all the post here about everyone's job here, I've not seen one "Gigalo" to all the hard working office lady's! I must be the odd man out! O.K...no-duff, see my avtar, and that's pretty much what I wear. Simple yet very manly. Some of the army office's I have worked out of are near the down town business center, and my "red hat" is a big hit with the lady's! I may as well be a gigalo!

Well, I'll be starting the "In and Out" routine to complete my med release from the military this fall now that the summer leave season is over for the Vet Affair's people ect, and I hope to see my new Rt rig soon.......hint...hint Mr Rob , and I think I have seen some post by other plastic fetish nut's like me from the Vancouver B.C location. Any one here from or near myself like to see about starting up some thing like a "Garrison or Squad"? Would it be hard to get a 501st garrison started?

Now that's cool! A good solid job with a well estabilish company like that right after you retire from the military will really help you get use to the way "civilians" live! I hope I'll be able to report the same thing when the "Green Machian" get's it in gear and get's my med release done!....Now.....you buying first round friday?

When I got the first bucket, the only thing I could see bad was it was just a bit on the small side. Now this will help so much with things like fan's/amp's/mic's inside. Just more of that cool Canadian Know-how at work! (and I hope to see in the mail soon, )
