  1. I sent him an email after he let me know he was going to be real late..."Whats in a Bucket?".....Workmanship!
  2. For my thigh's I flexed my thighs and then made the measurement from that as to where to trim the leg parts ....both thigh and calfs. As far as the pic, the one leg plate is just turned a bit both thigh plates have some of the 'bend" part left after trimming
  3. No,your right. The FX kit's lower leg or thigh parts form their own little "gap's" when glued together. But because of the shape of my thigh's and legs, other then the damn ear parts for the helm , the thighs give me problems. Most tall users will have no problems lineing up the back of the thigh plates to match the bend behined their knee's. But with me I have to trim so much to get the thigh's together, most of the "factory made gap" is gone
  4. I'm back to useing Clone-Empire. The Clone-net site is gone for now. go to Clone-Empire.com, most are now there
  5. Hi all. Right now RT still has some vac machine problems, parts or something like that, so like myself, if you have an order in to him it will be some time. I think he is offering to reimburse payments if waned. For me I'll give him a few more months.
  6. Hello all, well this is as far as I'm going with this TK set untill I get my RT-MOD, then I'll complete this armour for test wear and app for membership with the 501st, I do think there is a group near me. I should be part way or complete my E3 Clone Trooper and will inclued that too. I am happy with the way the leather belt worked out, I'm going to leave the buttons off for a) painting or turning this kit into TD, then I'll get a new knee plate.
  7. Also can you get a FX type of helmet liner into this, and if yes what is the type of glue you are useing to do stuff like this....Someone told me it's CA glue...what the hell is that? I sure would be happy if I could get a FX helmet liner into my E3 bucket
  8. This is a joke....right?
  9. First you have one hell of a cool bucket ner-vod, if you want Failed Paint Job" look at my obscene abortion of a helmet in my thread. I have a E3 trooper helm coming from the same lad. I hope to do much better with it. Tell me whats the bucket you got made of? How hefty is it? I'm sure it's the same stuff as mycoming E3 trooper but it's makeing me a bit "Batty" waiting (and that "run part"? don't mean a thing you did a good job !)
  10. Well by in large my TK kit is done. But not for the bucket, I would be very happy now, and from what I hear my RT-MOD bucket will be a long time in coming I sure hope my first clone/clone bucket (E3 type) works out better. I will pick up a 3rd FX kit down the road maybe and try again later
  11. Well if I knew to only use Krylon Fusion spray paint for plastic, I may have come off with a really cool bucket, as it is I have power sanded, cleaned and re-painted and now instead of complete never wear it shucks to maybe use it for practise/mod experiments/ but never trooping
  12. Good day sports fans, today I'll try to pick up some last bit's and parts to get the "body" part of my TK armor done. Or at least all hooked up! I'll try to get some othe rtype of spray paint and get set-up to "last-try" re-do the paint jiob on my bucket! I just sent off my payment for my E3 Clone trooper helmet, and I should be seeing my clone armor maybe next week, so I better get off my Sheb and finish this TK off!
  13. My last ex-girl friend looked at what I was doing, seen how much work I will have to put into it (I still am working on my TK kit and soon to have an EP3 Trooper rig to work on!) and well....I have to get a "new" GF!
  14. Hell ya pre-sanded and primer paint but it just came out sooo bad It's runny, splotchy, it just is not a smooth coat and no mater how meny coats no improvment at all! What is the best paint to use on ABS, I think I could still power sand the shucks out of it and try one more time
  15. Thats not too bad at all! Hell at 5'8" (look to your left as you read this) and lucky to get most of the FX kit to fit!
  16. I signed up with the military back in '1981', hell I do have boots older then more then a few here! Hell I could damn near drive myself when EP4 came out!
  17. I like most of the changes, youhave to maintain continuity with the old to new EP's
  18. Ok I am going to take this helmet out and SHOOT it!!!!! Not really, I'm just going to "tack" on the other parts, ears ect and down the road I'll get a power sander and remove this shucks coat of paint and re-do the "F"ing thing!. The only reason I keep the idea of keeping this one is the work I put into the fit and feel of this thing! As far as that this is one good bucket But the paint job just don't seem to want to work? Any ideas out there? Is there a paint that wont run/dry un-even, ect?
  19. Oh well the best laid plan of Troopers and Clones! There I was near about done, and I had to get a bright idea! I re-did the full helm, so if you have your eye say about 2 or 3" from where you usually find the seam on the sides/front, you can just make them out. If you are say over 2 feet from the helmet there is no seam showing. Front, back and top all looking as ONE! Smooth and not a ripple in the filler! And then (I just didn't think!) I WILL HAVE TO PAINT ALL OF IT OVER!! You think I could find gloss paint to match-up to ABS????? Hell No!!!! So there I was, near perfect looking/fitting (as close as FX can get) Bucket! Now as I look at coat number 3, it is only now starting to show some hope!
  20. Just to ask before I go out and do some thing REALLY silly, "The only well made EP3 helmet out there is the MR bucket". Is this true? Or no "kits"
  21. That MG 34 looks just plain fantastic, if I had more work space at home I would make my own 34 too. Good work
  22. To be honest here, for the first 3 movies, the "trooper" was never really to be other then the "nameless/faceless" arm of the Emperor. Even George was thinking that. And he made the flik's! The only time we see even a bit of "rank" is with the Sandtroopers, why only them seem's to be because it looked cool. The "first" three EP1 to EP3, was better thought out, so we see rank with the clones. ARC Trooper Capt's=red, Commanders with the yellow or gold, it was to be LT=Blue, but thats with clones, so TK's are just......well....TK's!
  23. Hey All, the frown line is not to bad, very stright. It just is painted on the teeth. I'm not swaping out the green lens. It's not for wear so It can sit with the green lens just fine I may re-use the dark ones
  24. Well ner-vod, mine must be the "wonky-ist" , and yes I found the name plate. It's helmet number 0704/2500. The thing must have been jammed in the side of the packing foam and when I slid it out it flopped out under my work table Good to hear the EP3 is bigger! As far as cost, now you know how much it cost to be a trooper/collecter in the Grate White North!
  25. Well after ordering this helm in Sept 07, I just opened the box now! First off no name plate for the stand. Next it's "warped" I must have got stuck with a factory re-ject! Over all yes a very nice over all well made "Display" collectible, and yes a very welcome part of my SW collection, but troop in it ?? HELL NO! My head just get's inside, add fan/mic/amp..??? It's again a fine display of why I will never give up my FX bucket! The only number I can find is SW 153LS...what ever that means! Now is this bang for my 500 bucks? I have to say no. But let the buyer beware comes to mind! I just hope the EP3 clone trooper helm is better (and bigger!)
