  1. Well, an up-date on what I'm doing. Just down load the pic's to a temp file and zoom in and read. Thank's!
  2. Why do you think I like this place so much, and the CT board, best thing I've become involved with other then the military!
  3. They say a good "Blaster Bolt" stopper come's in all size's
  4. Is it not Lauquer thinners with shavings, and I mean shavings. No big bit's and don't be slow. Pick one place or part to fix, then make the past, be careful but quick. let dry and not just to touch. If your doing a large number of place's let set over night. If you sand use fine wet/dry, and buff out with Novus. I THINK that's a good way. Other please correct me where needed.
  5. Oh and yes I think I have a good idea about the "18" and up problem. I'll post what I think could be at least some thing the 501st could do to at least address this issue.
  6. First, I never really looked at your profile before. Good to see a nice Canadian lad with an interest like this. Ok, it seem's you jumped into this a bit to fast. But if you really want to become a keener, then you'll have far more time ahead of you. First. The belt. look around your place and see if you can find a black or white belt that is as close to the size for the issue belt. If this is a FX rig, I recall that you use nut's/bolt's to hold the front of the belt on any way. Try making a velcro strip to hold the ab/back part's closed and just go with out for now. Again from what I recall, you don't really need the back part of the belt to hold it all together, other then to hold the TD on. You can still get it done and still look over all better then any thing your pal's may have! Don't ever let the 31st of Oct, be "the be all-end all" why you spent the cash for this in the first place. Part one: Get all the plastic on your body, Part two: Fine tune the armour as best you can, and then and only then get picky! As I said, you can get this part done, the belt, easy, oh and NEVER give up the ABS strip's for free. They can be used for lot's of fix's if your creative! It's just the back part of the belt and any thing you do will be ok for a "Temp-Fix-Only" till you can pick up a better belt.

Thanks bro, but the gent with the really cool avtar lid (but a relly really odd name) is helping out
  8. Yes never use the ABS strip's you get for any thing other then what their for. It's one of the near imposible thing's to do is match the shade of white ABS with plastic not supplied with the kit. Unlike some of the other TK kit's out there IE: FX ect, you get to cover any mishap's you may have after trimming to size.

Well to make this a more up-beat post, I was minding my own bee's wax's just now at the Brian's Toy's web site, when lo and behold, the reduced priced Fett MR Blaster, with a deep voiced chant, in Mando'A, "I want to go to Canada!", just up and jumped into my site shopping basket! Just having one odd day today! (PM sent back sskunky, and thank's) See what I mean? Look at that really strange name
  10. Not much done today. Was going to start trimming the rest but A) my car is going to chew up the rest of my chash for the month with repair. And (again) had to pay for my own med's because the VA has stiffed me as well as the CF!(No life Like It!...ya Right! ! Well will try some cutting tomorrow.

Well Bro's, as I posted a bit back, I pulled the pin and picked up the E11 SDS was selling. Well I asked for an up-date on the ETA of it and all I got back was "Email undeliverable". No responce at all. live and learn I guess.
  12. Well if Smitty say's it is then it must be so So will just "glue-along"
  13. So there is a "Horse Shoe" on both bicep, left and right? And the under arm is square cut on the inside? For both left and right? And I still say the forearm parts look "Left" handed.
  14. Don't touch a thing! That is a TD trooper E11 for sure! (A light sound kit would be just perfect!
  15. Maybe I will If I ever get it right! I have a mix of Bucket's from soon to come "Mando" Bucket's. I'll try to make one a 'Jango" type but keep the other one my EU mando type I have a few more but need to complete them! I think I'll have about 10 lid's soon. Trying for 20! (again get my but going and complete them!)
  16. OK, now we really get down to it. Ya I'm working this late on my kit.. NOT happy. I'll have to get a location add from the AP chap and return my forearm's. I got two left hand one's. I will now have to look real close at all the part's and send them back. OK yes it is an honour to be able to have kit's like this. BUT after near $1000.00 CDN, to have to start sending back part's just make's the build time longer. this should not happen. I will Have to pay the shipping back if any, and hope the wait time is not to long. I also think I have two "Right" hand Bicep part's. Only one of the Bicep part's has the "Horse Shoe" mark on it right? The Left hand Bicep has no mark?....Right?? I feel like shooting some thing!
  17. A when and where would be nice. I just started so don't think I'll be ready by the 31st this month but we'll see
  18. Well today was shopping day. All the lil this and that's you need to get plastic to wear right! I did get some first cut's in, but still need to find more stuff like swiss file's. I'll try a bit more Sunday after pokeing around some hardwear store's.
  19. I hate to stop all the wild hot chat going on here at FISD on a Friday night, but just would like to ask you good Sir, (you seem to have an "In" with SDS), I have tried to get info on the state of my order, email ect, but have not got any thing back. I think I made this order before your postie's whent on strike. (Yes even we here in the coloines have that problem from time to time too!) Could you help out a loyal soldier of the crown, and add some lube to the wheel's over there and get a reply for me Thank's! Oh and "God Save The Queen! (I have her image on some of my decorations so better add that)
  20. Or run into the street screaming maniacally "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO It's like RRRRRRRRUUUUUUUBBBBBBIIIIIIIEEEEEEE'SSSSSSS. And get busted under the mental health act and never to be seen again!!!!!!!!
  21. Ok Troop's. Old Sgt Steve now has his AP kit. I am still waiting for my RT MOD kit, but Rob needed a bit of time off (or I think Mrs Rob won and got the vacation she wanted... ) I don't know if I'll make it by the 31st but starting now i have all the main part's. Armour kit, boot's, ROM-FX,blaster's x3, I'll try to re-use some mic tip's with speaker's I have on hand, and other small gib's and stuff to at least get the stuff on the body. Rob said that he'll try for about 10 day's from now to post my kit, but at least it don't have to leave BC to get to me. And I was smart and paid the extra to have Rob do the lid for me. That alone will save a lot of time. (thank's Rob)....For now I'll just post the normal "Just here" box pic and the "first" open pic. (one thing, how the hell do I get this thing to start new paragraph.... ) OK first a bit about me, I have been wanting to get into the 501st now for about 2 year's. I have had two FX kit's and worked on some Clone lid's. So i'm not that new to build's. I will pull no punches, with myself or my assessment of the two well let's say better TK kit's then FX. And before you say "he's a canadain soldier, he'll say the RT kit is better because it's Canadian. Well both kit's come from Canadian maker's so that's not on. I would be the first to say a kit from the US was better over a CDN one if it where true. I cut no slack with any one or any thing. OK the AP kit. After opening the box, the parts where over all clean and packed ok. So far all the parts are here as I can see. And (I need to read it still) it has a instruction book. The parts are just that, parts. Fresh from a vac machine. One hell of a lot of trimming, and I mean rough trim and then fine trimming. At this point I must rock the boat a bit. Yes I thank all, AP,RT,even ATA (still on wait list) for all the time they take to make the kit's. For all the time , the "Laybour of Luv" they put into it. We should all give them a big BUT....(there all way's is) we must take the cost and shipping to the buyer into account also. Look at the time's we live in. For the AP kit, I payed very near $1000.00 CDN for it. I say the seller DOSE have a responsibility also. At least the FX kit at $600.00 is fully trimmed in the box. And the green len's all I can say is..."SMITTTTTTTTTTYYYYYY HELPPPPPPPPPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " OK the part's are back in the box, but the instruction book is in hand, and it's time to read, read, read. And set-up my work space, And get more glue, snap's ect. I'll post more when I get to the first thing I'll start....the helmet.
  22. Yup ok got it, (wow that got a lil odd ) Any way I went with size 9's even through I wear size 8.5's he said it would be better to go one size up so will see.
  23. Traded some email's with this guy, all where "nice" mail's even got the price for a pair but then it get's very odd. I keep asking WHO do you send payment to??????? What is the PayPal name/add/email to send it to. He send's back email and talk's about every thing BUT that info. Who are you guy's sending payment's to???????????
  24. Update, read his email just a min ago, and he said he has only full size's at this time, IE: 6-7-8-9 ect, and that this run (his first) is close to being out. And that yes his boot is a tad on the narrow side. So I ordered a pair of 8's just to see if they will fit well. So if you need boot's get then now.
