  1. You would need to paint the soles white for RotJ.
  2. I saw a pair of these while helping Spectre with his build. I have the old TKs and I'm so jealous! I always find the ankles of my boots trying to pop out from under my greaves, the higher ankles on these would totally solve that. Makes me want to buy another pair...
  3. Actually, There were some details on the Battlefront cans (even thought they were only half-round).
  4. Slightly off-topic, but I'm confused about this: (from http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_hero) Emphasis mine. Isn't it kind of self-defeating to have that in the CRL? If it's an informal event, you could pretty much carry around whatever non-canon swag you want (if you're so inclined).
  5. It could work, so long as it doesn't rub off on contact (like bumping into a wall or receiving a hug).
  6. I was more just meaning as a heads-up for n00bs. One can never put too much emphasis on the difference between finding a good source and buying the first thing you see on eBay. There's sticky threads of that type about armour, I figured soft parts deserved the same. Perhaps a vetted maker's list would be handy?
  7. Only 4 items on the to-do list, I might as well get cracking.
  8. Slightly off-topic, but I felt this was a question worth answering. No, it isn't a problem wearing the sniper plate on the wrong knee. This guy got away with it in ANH: Just don't let Vader (or your GML) see it like that.
  9. How long until RDSprops are eligible to get on the list? I keep hearing incredibly good things... SDS also seems to be doing good business, all politics aside. Perhaps putting an 'available in black' note on the list would reduce the number of people asking which armours come in black throughout the thread?
  10. Awesome work! And the smaller size is fantastic- the HWT pack is supposed to be smaller than the TD pack (that's how they sneak the O2 can underneath in the games). Accuracy FTW.
  11. It looks like the eyes might be slightly wider (as well as having the ESB-style cut around the bridge), you'd get better peripheral vision and probably no blind spot in the middle, but have much less in the vertical. It might not matter too much- as far as tripping over small children goes, I usually find myself looking through the teeth to spot them (as do most troops I know).
  12. There's another skin?? I love this place, you learn something new everyday... Sticking with white anyhow.
  13. Do you meant the length of the straps? I would have thought that would be varied to fit the wearer...
  14. Do your shinplates rotate a little bit when you walk? They look like they sit slightly differently in the two front-on pics.
  15. TK-3483 requesting access. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=13739
  16. Having a good look on swhelms while preparing to paint my lid, and noticed the rank stripes aren't on the ear bumps themselves, but in the dips in between them. Harder to tell in this second pic:
  17. That spells it out beautifully for me. Thanks a mint.
  18. Cut my eyes out this afternoon (sounds fun when it's put like that, eh?) I'm going for the ESB look, I've been using StarWarsHelmets as my reference. I'm fairly happy with them, just after a second/third/fourth opinion... Anyone? PS- Sorry about the somewhat poor quality of the pics, but I'm figuring they should suffice.

  20. I think you've nailed it on the third attempt. But the URL seems to have disappeared...
  21. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=16364&view=findpost&p=197626 That one has, and damn it looks nice! Wonder if Si-man will be doing ESB lids, or if people will have to redo his lovely work...
  22. So very nice. I think the Si-man suit has turned out to be everything everybody had hoped it would...
