  1. Hey, I need to know this too! Allow me to join you in waiting for an answer...
  2. There's a trooper from Terra Australis Garrison who allegedly built his armour in 3 days! Mind- it wasn't his first kit. I guess, add to that ~3-4 weeks for delivery, and there's a 'fastest you can possibly do it' time. But I'd say, take your time. There's often a longer wait than you expect for certain items (TK boots can be a while if they're out of your size), and most importantly, take your time on research! I've just about gotten my armour ready to try out for approval, and I ordered my kit in January- though I could have done it quicker, had I not procrastinated somewhat.
  3. You'll be glad you did. The only regrettable thing about TK boots is scuffing them!
  4. +1 vote for waiting. TK boots are worth it IMO. If you really feel impatient, go with the dyed Chelsea boots option. Screen accuracy rocks.
  5. I just used hot glue for mine.
  6. Well done, guys! You couldn't ask for a much better endorsement than that. Keep up the awesome work!
  7. I'll get some more in the near future. I'm just screencapping on the PC. The niceness is all thanks to the 9800GT I'm using. It amazes me what it can do for older games... There's a few lttle things visible in the Hi-def shots that aren't reflected in the CRL... might be time to stir things up. It'd be good practice for when the OT Blu-Rays come out and we realise we've missed things!
  8. On the sniper plate, use none- just glue. Screen accurate! I believe the thigh belt should have 8-10mm brads or split rivets.
  9. Awesome, with a thick topping of awesomesauce.
  10. That means a lot, coming from you. Your ANH reference shots have been my bible while researching and building. I can get more, if anyone's keen.
  11. I'll give the padding a go. They're certainly not too tight- I was wearing them 'Tantive IV' style.
  12. Tried them on for a test fit, and after walking 10 feet they were already a good 30 degrees out of whack. Any suggestions? I was thinking of making a strap at the bottom to go around my foot (inside the boot, of course). I'm guessing this would also stop them riding up.
  13. They are a tiny bit over-trimmed. Personally, I like that look. (Could be because mine are about the same ) Hard to spot the difference in most screenshots. I'd say close enough for rock 'n' roll. Definitely not worth losing sleep over them.
  14. I've posted these elsewhere, thought I'd share them here too. From glorious full hi def: Note the unusual ab button configuration- and all in black. Is it just me, or are those ESB handguards? Black tube stripes and 5 (count 'em, 5!) ear bumps? Weird... These pics also give a much nicer view of the exact weathering pattern, if you're into that sort of thing.
  15. Try these on for size- full high def. Note the unusual ab button configuration- and all in black. Is it just me, or are those ESB handguards? Black tube stripes and 5 (count 'em, 5!) ear bumps? Weird... These pics also give a much nicer view of the exact weathering pattern, if you're into that sort of thing.
  16. Come on, guys, don't be harsh- it comes with a free pauldron!
  17. That's perfect! It'll add to the 'real blaster feel' and increase postage costs at the same time!
  18. I couldn't agree more. There is a big emphasis on the fact that HWTs aren't just clean Sandies, and the backpack seems to be rather overlooked in that. It seems most of the reference pics of the HWTs have been taken from PS2 screenshots. I'm going to endeavour to get some good hi-resolution screens from my PC (using Battlefront II). Hopefully, we should be able to see some good detail on the backpack, and maybe get some shots we could scale from to work out exactly how big it should be...
  19. Wahahahahahaha! Where are the T-racks? <_<
  20. There are some decent propmakers here- they just don't attract attention to themselves the way the scum do...
  21. It would appear the HWT pack is somewhat shorter than a Sandie's pack... Though, upon a closer look at the screens, the O2 canisters in Battlefront are semicircular!
  22. In the CRL the O2 canister is recommended against, and is not allowed for EIB. Which visual reference is this based on? I always thought Battlefront was the main reference for HWTs...
  23. It appears to me like those handguards are neither ANH nor ESB. If you have a look at the pic of the action figure still in its box, they seem to have the small end near the fingers, opposite of ANH. Closeup shots would be handy...
  24. Check the shins. If there's two lefties, it's the same guys.
  25. Re the shoulder bells- some in ANH had return edges and some didn't. For my $0.02, I'd say do them- I did mine, and they looked OVER 9000 times better.
