  1. I can't believe CAboots price! Are you paying extra for the unique smell? Just waiting for TKboots to get 11s back in stock... Though, as far as voting goes, I say Chelsea boots from you local riding shop painted white and scuffed! Screen accuracy FTW (I'm getting TKboots out of sheer laziness... sue me)
  2. With this much research being done, will we be seeing a CRL for male Legacy-era troopers also?
  3. I'd be laughing with you if I didn't have one of these... <_< At least I bought mine as kit and only paid $400 for it. Don't drink and Ebay, kids.
  4. It's an FX recast, the same kit that 'Treckfreek' sells. Look at the pics closely, there's two left shins.
  5. I agree also- Stunt rules. In the shots where you can see both side-by-side, the Hero lid looks very dodgy IMO. I think the ESB actually looks meaner again, but the RotJ loses it for me- that frown makes them look like they're wearing lipstick!
  6. Yeah. Both of my shins are lefties. Being FX, it's not as bad as it could have been, but my seams are going to be facing outwards on the right side. Can I get away with this, or should I be chasing up a relacement?
  7. Be prepared for quick replies. The troops here are immensely helpful!
  8. I'm 5'9" and very skinny, and I can tell you, you'll have to mod the hell out of FX get a good fit. It's also the least screen accurate. I'm midway through my build, and I've had to cut away an unbelievable amount of plastic. I severely wish I'd gone for ATA, and if I do a second kit it will be ATA. So much better, in my opinion. FX/AM is great for monster-sized troopers, but a lot of work for us little guys.
  9. It could be that he took that photo in the mirror...
  10. If you'd mentioned this sooner, I would have offered to swap you for my oversized ones (assuming you're not putting together an AM/FX kit). I'm tiny, so I've been having to trim heaps off of mine. @ Defiance7x13: Damn, man! How huge are you to not fit into AM? You monster troops must make the Darth Vaders look bad!
  11. 7 stone, eh? So it might fit me without modding? Sweet! But seriously, what Pandatrooper said, and that goes double for the budget factor. Unless the Simon Suit can undercut ATA's prices, they'll always have a certain appeal.
  12. I'm doing a pretty generic stunt, so I guess I have the option. I just think that a little return edge adds a lot of class to the look. Also, my kit isn't the best, so I'm really trying to nice it up anyway I can.
  13. Whaddya mean I can't base it on a background stunt?!? I'm doing a STUNT suit! Bloody Heroes...
  14. Cheers. I thought it was okay, but a couple of dudes at TAG were telling me otherwise. It'd only be a -tiny little- one.
  15. Simple question- I'm doing an ANH. Is it cool to put -tiny- return edges on the shoulder bells?
  16. Cheers for the tips! I have heard that E6000 + metal = DOOM!!! How bad does it get, out of curiousity?
  17. He said WHAT?!? HIS OWN SET?!?!? He's in Melbourne, and gets the kits shipped over from England! They don't even pass through his hands, FFS! He just arranges the deal as a middleman and pockets his share.
  18. The only thing it doesn't include is the scope rail... Any ideas where to get one of those, anybody?
  19. You might not need to paint an ATA- they've just recently started offering ABS kits!
  20. How big are your shoulders, dude?!?
  21. Panic level- reduced. I'll get onto them tomorrow. 'Tis late here, and I can at least sleep easy now. Thanks guys. Another round of blue milks on me!
  22. They don't sit anywhere near nicely! Should I just clamp the hell out of them and glue them down, or do I need to apply some heat and bend them to shape? Suggestions, anyone?
  23. IIRC the DS droid is. If not, it should be! I know 4-LOM is in the Legion, under Bounty Hunters. Weren't other protocol droids silver, with 3PO being the only gold one seen? A silver one could be good- you could go around swearing at people in Huttese...
