  1. No you're not. People dance around the holy RS props because... well they make an excellent product... but really few people say anything negative about them. It's a valid question. I've never held an RS before but my ATA is a little thin around the mic tips, but not anywhere else really. Maybe others can chime in on the durability of an RS helmet longer term. The weathering is all wrong. Go get some plastic polish and make that amror shiny Nothing against Juan's TD... or Pandatrooper's image (which is all-time) I think you're better off using either screen captures or the various SWAT applications on mepd.net. I'm not a TD expert but the weathering looks a little too gray and sooty for my tastes. Maybe a post on MEPD would get you a more comprehensive answer. -Eric
  2. I think the cash balance of my Vader fund make take a hit soon. -Eric
  3. I dig your low brow style. Looking good so far -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'm having trouble with our supplier. I would suggest subscribing to this thread to get notified when I post that the run is back open. -Eric
  5. I can't wait to see one of those in my collection! -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Michael, I had a quick chat with our DO and we agreed to pass you for Centurion. There are two quick things that could be cleaned up still. While your shims look much better, the tops are still not even. They would look much better and less like shims if they were even across the top. Also something Gazmosis noticed was that your front cover strip on your thigh extends a bit too far and onto the ridge. Congrats trooper, -Eric
  7. Clever! Thanks man. I can't wait to try it out. -Eric
  8. Now THERE'S the crap eating grin we look for here on FISD. Great work so far. -Eric
  9. FYI: They're a few bucks cheaper on Amazon. I just ordered one -Eric
  10. Eric... got any photos on how you mounted that badboy? -Eric
  11. Neat. Looks a little more Star Wars Rebels than RMQ but maybe I got that the other way around Still pretty damn cool. -Eric
  12. Way to wrastle that AP sniper knee into place! Good luck trooper... I would guess this should be an easy pass. -Eric
  13. It's totally customary to put post-approval mods in your build thread. I think a lot of people don't always end up coming back to FISD after they get what they need out of our community, so it may not happen as often as we'd like. I certainly posted stuff after I was approved. And no... you're never done. -Eric
  14. Can you guys try and see if you can see posts in forums now? I updated the tapatalk stuff on the server. Thanks! -Eric
  15. Fascinating. I'll take a look today. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Check this link out on getting your FX kit to Expert Infantry... which is shorthand for getting your FX to look way better. I would also suggest replacing the helmet with something more accurate if you can. -Eric
  17. How odd! Is anyone else having this issue? I'll go see if we're up to date on hen server side software and upgrade if we're not. I'll let you know if something changes on our end. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I read and replied to you post on tapatalk. It even notified me of your post in this forum which I had subscribed to. I can see all other posts and forums too. Can you take a screen cap of what weirdness you're seeing? -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Wow. I am totally blown away by people's attention to detail on their doopy E-11s of late. Nice work trooper. -Eric
  20. All, After a few months of thought and debate please help the staff congratulate Gazmosis as FISD's new Deployment Officer. As many of you already know Steve is a regular contributor to our community and has a great track record upholding FISD's credo of "Troopers helping Troopers." And now I will go back to the business of being a one acronym staff member. Congrats Gaz! -Eric
  21. You're a madman. I wonder if there would be actual demand for this outside of the obvious purchase from Femtrooper Julie. -Eric
  22. Chris, The official ruling is that since your wide cover strips are not meant to improve the fit of your thighs they should be narrowed for Centurion on the back of both the calves and thighs. -Eric
  23. I use this thing I got from home depot. It takes some creative packing to get everything in there and I just carry my bucket on the plane with me. It's lightweight and has never exceeded 50 lbs while flying with my armor. It has easily handled a bunch of flying except that dragging across a stone patio I broke one of the wheels off.... which seems easily fixed. Take a look at some of the modifications one of the SLD guys has done to the case. He uses it for his badass Vader. It's worth reading the whole thread. I will probably replace it with a big Stanley tote soon for troops I don't have to fly to. There are a handful of threads here on FISD detailing what people use to travel with and store their armor. Some folks purchased hard case rolling luggage and have had pretty good success. (I was eyeing some at costco recently). Do a couple quick searches and you'll find better answers than mine. -Eric
